Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Booked 3 rooms for a 3 day stay. Two of the rooms had no hot water and one room had no air conditioning. Despite reporting nothing was resolved. Several calls last week requesting a call back from Management. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Bad Service.

The restraunt needs to be closed in my opinion. Service was shocking, getting everyones orders wrong, food was cold and horrible when it did get to the table. Waited an hour for a pizza that was burnt to a crisp !! Only good thing about this hotel was our room, the view and location, if we werent happy with the room we would of left...The bar had very little selection of drinks and it always had a smell coming from it. Hotel is very run down and needs to be modernised. Would not stay again.

I am so impressed with the team at this hotel, that I am writing this whilst still here. Firstly shout out to the team: Brooke on Reception, who cannot be any more kinder, friendly and knowledgeable. Hayley and her colleague, at the coffee bar who are just so engaging, enthusiastic and pleasant. The room stacks up to its name - The view is amazing, and overlooks the river. The rooms are incredibly clean, with good quality products in the bathroom. It’s a classy set up.

This place is gorgeous!! The staff are amazing!!! The decor is fabulous! The rooms were comfortable and lovely views of the river. Basic cleanliness was there but a good dust and deep clean was needed. We had dinner in the restaurant. The service was impeccable but the meals were quite disappointing. We did inform the waiter that our meals were so but still charged full price. A conversation the next morning with front reception was received well but again charged full fees for everything even after a 330am wake up from very drunk, rude and rowdy neighbours down the hall. Will I stay again? 50/50.

What a pleasant and welcoming experience from the warm and friendly staff, to the room appointments and decor, to the incredible food! It’s all about how you make people feel, right? The bar staff were kind and friendly. The front desk manager was helpful and accommodating. The magic lady who prepares the breakfast buffet offerings has a smile that lights up a room as she keeps the buffet dishes full of delicious options all morning. The restaurant manager was delightful. The restaurant food options were not your average hotel fare. The dinner selections are five star-delicious and beautifully presented. The breakfast buffet was so good that it’s a good idea to linger and savour. Best hotel for locals and travelers.

Terrible location, no coffee shops or anything close by only a petrol station. Very noisy with road traffic! The pool area is old and worn and the deck is actually dangerous. The staff were rude. Not somewhere I would stay again.

I feel this hotel just needs a major upgrade. It feels like a trip back in time but my major criticism would be the sound proofing in Rooms. Staying on the second floor on the road side, I was kept awake with traffic and trucks with air brakes. Not to mention toilets and showers joise from above. I have stayed here before and passed the feedback on but still the same issue. The staff were friendly and bar was good for a drink. However, quality sleep is important to me and I did t get that so I won’t be back.

I looked for a pet friendly accommodation, View Brisbane came up on the Wotit website and i immediately booked a room thinking it was pet friendly as stated. I then received an email to inform me that the room i booked was NOT pet friendly but a more expensive one was. I was unhappy book because, hey, sometimes you just have to go with the flow. I booked the more expensive room and sent an email for confirmation that it was indeed pet friendly only to be told that they would charge a further $90 for having my pet. This place is dishonest and greedy to say the least. Do i recommend it???...a big NO!!!

The View Brisbane was very comfortable for my business stay in Brisbane. It is in a very convenient location but not in the centre of the city, It is close to walking tracks and cycleways. There are two very good pubs within walking distance. The View rooms are looking a little tired and the house keeping needs to be better but it did have the best buffet breakfast I have seen in a long time. Pool was great but gardens need some upkeep.
