We stayed in Room 614. Level 6 (7 is the top floor) and right next to the lift. The room was so bright and welcoming. Huge windows with great views. It is not on the river side and I felt that, because of this, it was very quiet (river side faces the main road). We had requested a fold-away which, to my surprise, was a full size single bed. Both beds (the Queen and the fold away) were very comfortable. The whole room was cleaned to a high standard.
There was still space in this large room for a comfortable couch and a massive TV (I think it was 55 inch). There is also a small fridge and tea/coffee making facilities.
The pool is amazing, along with the bonus outdoor spaces and sun loungers. You also get the use of a bathrobe which we wore to go to the pool. Towels are supplied and there is also drinks service at poolside.
We also utilised the room service. Our meals were delicious and well priced. There is a $5 additional charge un top of meal chargers.
The reception staff were lovely and the onsite car park is undercover and secure ($15 per day).
Location is actually really great with the Breakfast Creek Hotel a very short walk away (though do book your table). You can also hire electric scooters/bikes and take a ride along the river or into Fortitude Valley. There are many near by places to eat and drink and enjoy. It is not in the heart of the Brisbane city, which I appreciated. I would have loved to have sampled a cocktail at the hotel bar - it looked very cosy and had an old time charm about it, however I was told that the bartender did not come in, so bar was left closed for the evening.
Overall. I would definitely stay here again!

An over night trip to Brisbane found us staying here. Great parking, friendly reception staff. The room was well appointed and extremely comfortable. The beds were the most comfortable I’ve slept in for a very long time. Bath sheets were provided in lieu of a small towel. A lovely restaurant and bar was enjoyed, with hospitable staff, enabling us to relax for the evening! I’ll definitely be back!

The view has quite a late check in (3pm) but apart from that our junior suite was spacious and the bed comfortable, the staff attentive and friendly. It’s in close proximity to eat street 😃. It also sits on Brisbane river and there is a ferry stop about 20 walk, all in all not bad

The restraunt needs to be closed in my opinion. Service was shocking, getting everyones orders wrong, food was cold and horrible when it did get to the table. Waited an hour for a pizza that was burnt to a crisp !! Only good thing about this hotel was our room, the view and location, if we werent happy with the room we would of left...The bar had very little selection of drinks and it always had a smell coming from it. Hotel is very run down and needs to be modernised. Would not stay again.

Very disappointed to find peanuts, bits of food and food wrappers under each chair in the room. I told reception next morning and was told they would get the housekeeper to make sure it was removed. We went out and returned to the room at 2.30pm but the room still had not been serviced. The housekeeper was servicing a room on our floor so I asked her if she could clean ours but she said our room was not on her list but she would ask her supervisor if she could clean it. Few minutes later she did and vacuumed the dirt off the chairs. On closer look, the chairs were very badly stained and dirty. The lack of cleanliness is very concerning especially during these covid times. Also, on check out we had charges for food we did not have and had to wait while it was voided. Next day, we received another email invoice to show a extra charge for minibar use which we definitely did not use so I had to ring the hotel and get it refunded. We visit Brisbane on a regular basis but sadly this experience has put us off returning.

We stayed in a river vista room which was located on the corner with wrap around windows and panoramic views of the river. It was so relaxing to sit in the comfortable arm chairs and watch the boats. We took advantage of the stay and dine package which included dinner, breakfast, parking and noon checkout. The food was terrific, making this great value. My husband had the steak which he raved about for the cut of meat and the tenderness. I had the salmon and it was cooked to perfection. We also shared a wood fired cheese pizza to start - bliss. Breakfast was hearty - the bircher muesli with rhubarb was crammed with goodies and the chefs breakfast most generous. Service throughout the hotel is first rate. The king size bed and choice of pillows, plus blackout curtains and double glazing, ensure a good nights sleep. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I looked for a pet friendly accommodation, View Brisbane came up on the Wotit website and i immediately booked a room thinking it was pet friendly as stated. I then received an email to inform me that the room i booked was NOT pet friendly but a more expensive one was. I was unhappy book because, hey, sometimes you just have to go with the flow.
I booked the more expensive room and sent an email for confirmation that it was indeed pet friendly only to be told that they would charge a further $90 for having my pet.
This place is dishonest and greedy to say the least. Do i recommend it???...a big NO!!!

Nice hotel but unfortunately housekeeping lets them down. Room appeared clean on the surface but then we found a used tissue beside the bed from the previous guest.I found this totally unacceptable considering we are in the middle of a pandemic and it left me questioning how clean the room actually was. The gentleman on the front desk was helpful and apologetic and told us the general manager would be in contact in regards to this..... never did hear from the manager. Daily housekeeping was very poor as well and was not up to scratch. Surfaces were never wiped down and when I asked the housekeeping for towels as they did not leave enough in the room, the lady was extremely rude and ignored me. Housekeeping did not take away dirty cups or leave clean ones , beds were never made, just pulled up.Management really need to speak to housekeeping and explain the high importance of proper cleaning during COVID 19. Lady at front desk on check out was very unfriendly but was efficient in resolving a situation. To the general manager, when you say you will contact a guest in relation to a major concern, act on it.

All the staff were courteous and helpful. Clean room. Very nice shower with great pressure. Had a great view of the river.

Breakfast was good. Assortment of breads, fruits, meat and can get cooked to order eggs if desired.

Famous and fabulous place to eat nearby called the. Breakfast Creek Hotel.

For public transportation, the location is not great. 30 minute walk to ferry terminal (Brett’s Wharf). Easy to Uber from but if you desire public transport you need a hotel in the city.

We enjoyed our stay!

The View Brisbane was very comfortable for my business stay in Brisbane. It is in a very convenient location but not in the centre of the city, It is close to walking tracks and cycleways. There are two very good pubs within walking distance. The View rooms are looking a little tired and the house keeping needs to be better but it did have the best buffet breakfast I have seen in a long time. Pool was great but gardens need some upkeep.

No it's not on the wrong property it's a hotel in Hamilton along the Brisbane River a suburb of Brisbane Queensland Australia
Answer from BernieandAdam

Unsure because it's further away from the city centre. You may be able to see the fire works from the sky but may need accom closer to Southbank eg Mantra or Rydges Southbank or North Quay for full action eg Oaks Casino Towers. :)

Yes, quite far. And taxis are expensive in Brisbane. But it is really doable if you have other reasons to stay in the Hamilton area.
