I stayed here for nearly a month while looking for work and it's one of the best hostels I've stayed in, in Australia. The staff were lovely and for the most part very helpful. There were good activities on most days and it's in a really good location. Very clean and quiet, with big lockers you can put everything in,...

The staff were super friendly on greeting us, have us a nice pole after walking all our stuff up the hill...yep, there are no free shuttle buses but most hostels in the city don't!! It's aye a 5-10 minute walk from the greyhound stop. The ice pole at the end made up for it :) the staff were very helpful...

I really liked Brisbane City YHA because it has great facilities. Everything is modern, clean and well designed. I stayed in a 6 bed dorm on the third floor. There was enough space, a little table and chairs, big lockers with power points inside, reading lights for the beds and air conditioning. The ensuite bathroom was also good- like a...

I stayed here for two nights with a one night break to return for another two nights. Initially the staff who checked me in were cold, disinterested and not helpful. The room I stayed in 4 bed female in new part of hostel was nice. Although there was a damp smell. The lockers had sockets and the room was light...

We stayed in a private double room for 2 nights. The hostel is well located, 10 minute walk to the transit centre, 5 minute walk to a big supermarket and about 25 minutes to the city centre or south bank. The hostel is very big but has quite a lot of space, the kitchen is big and well equipped but...

Hi YHA, I write this review with my eye completely bruised yellow and purple. The toilet door does not open properly and I ran into it. You would think after being there a week I would have been used to it, but I thought as they are meant to clean the toilets daily, one of the workers would have mentioned...

The only good thing to say about the hostel is that its located pretty well. You reach the shopping street and the brisbane river with de lagoon within a 15 min walk. We are a young couple who stayed only one night in the hostel. We had a private room which looked like a prison cell. The shared bathroom was...

As always YHA is a good hostel. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. The kitchen area is big and I loved the option to dine on the rooftop. Walk to the city was about 10 minutes and supermarket is across the street. A few cafés and restaurants are also very close to the hostel for a meal that will fit...

4 of us stayed here for just over a week. The first room we stayed in was just above the train tunnel which was SO noisy - we heard it all night, waking us up in the morning and it went on and on. So if you go here, make sure you ask to be in a room not above...
