I didn't notice when booking this hotel that it was owned/operated by the YMCA. The rooms are small, amenities and furniture reminded me of a student dorm-room, and the bathroom is so small you can't sit on the toilet straight because your legs jam into the sink. But maybe

Hi 20-20_Travels, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with other travellers. The hotel is owned and operated by the YMCA but all that this means is that all of the profits from our hotel go back into the community to assist vulnerable Queenslanders. Whilst we understand that a few of our rooms are small, with our new 55inch flat screen smart TV's I think that the amenities far surpass anything I had in college. Next time you find yourself in our beautiful river city I would suggest you try one of our terrace or sofa rooms, whilst a little more expensive if you want some extra space they are a great choice. Warmest Regards, Management

The GW hotel is situated nearby the centre of Brisbane and near to the river which invites for a stroll in the evening. Confortable, clean rooms, friendly helpfull staff. Bus stops in front of the hotel. Breakfast is served in the restaurant internally connected to the hotel.

Hi hbe2016, Thank you for sharing your experience with other travellers. Some great advice there for people traveling into Brisbane, the public transport is a great way to move around. From the hotel it is so easy to make your way to places like Lone Pine and Brett's Wharf. We look forward to your return next time you find yourself in the river city. Warmest Regards, Management.

This hotel is cheap and perhaps for the money is good value, but be prepared for the paper thin walls, so it next door have their TV on you get to hear it too! The bed was comfortable and the location is great, but I guess you get what you pay for.

I see this hotel has parking listed, is it free?
They have parking however subject to availability. You'll have to recheck at reception. They do have a second parking option not far from the hotel if parking at the hotel is full. Extra charge for each parking options.

Don't know what size bedroom you have at home. We stayed in 308 and yes it's a bedroom. you can sit on a desk but it's not convenient to chill. Next time i would prefer a room at a higher floor wrt the street noice. I'm 1.87m and for me the bed was oké.

What is breakfast? Is it a buffet?
No, far from it. You are given a voucher for $ 12.00 to spend at the cafe. This gives you the basic bacon & eggs only. Not what we expected !!
