Booked a deluxe view room and got 803, we overlooked Spring Hill and King George Square clock tower, really nice.
Well refurbed rooms and great little bar fridges too! Glass door so you can see what’s in there.
Bathroom was well fitted out with spare towel racks for a change, shower had a big rain shower head and a hand held push button massage shower.
Room overall was really clean and comfortable.
Didn’t use pool area or restaurant but all looked really nice.
Only one neg was the aircon not pumping out much air and it turned out filter was chock full of dust and looked like a few years worth of build up. After that was rectified it pumped out ice cold air 👍

Will Definately re book here as it’s quiet and still handy to CBD.
Get a scooter app and you can use them to get up and down the hill.

Bought an online 2 night package with extras, Scoopon maybe, cannot recall.
Interesting history/architecture. Well appointed, spacious, updated, clean & comfortable. Shower heads were top of the line. Choice of laminates showed good taste, the same we selected for our house !!
Gazebo Bar & Restaurant was excellent, see separate review.

Few tips that you may find useful:

# we arrived by train into Roma Street & were told by someone in a high vis vest, due to construction work, we could not traverse the station to the Parklands. Absolute rubbish as we found out later. Either way if you arrive at Roma Street with luggage & not into scaling heights get a taxi or have a defib machine ready at the hotel, it is a climb esp. at 33C.

# we walked to GOMA in about 40 mins, taking it easy. Down Albert to the Parklands entrance, down to the Bus Station, cross the road onto Platform 10 & walk across to the Roma Street exit, just tell the ticket lady you are walking across from Albert Street. Left onto Roma Street, right on Tank Street & across the waling bridge.

# there is a free Spring Hill/City Loop bus which stops outside the hotel, BUT, does not run at weekends. Taxi from Edward Street cost about $10.

# apparently the hotel has about 90 parking spaces so if you drive should not be a problem.

# they offer an early check in option, at a price. We opted for 12noon at $30

#PS take your Nespresso capsules are there is a machine in the room

I have stayed here since 2016, ALWAYS loved the place, it was out “Go to” place in Brissy.
Since becoming the Pacific, they have replaced their world class mattresses with ones you would find in an op shop.
Maintenance of the rooms was severely lacking, and the attention to detail that use to be there when it was the Urban is gone it seems.
Location is a huge bonus for me in business, but unsure if I will give them another go or not... 🤔
Interesting that I could not submit this review as a 2 star rating, but was allowed to if I changed to a 3 star rating...🙈 this is REALLY poor form...

We had two rooms booked, room one had a damp / stale smell so we were moved. Both rooms (one being the melt allocated) has faulty safes and despite us asking multiple times they were never fixed. The cleaner made the beds but didn’t change the towels or clear away used plates / dishes / food. Again mentioned this to the reception team. The bar closes for food at 8:30pm and drinks at 9pm ridiculous for residents.

We purchased a two day stay on TripADeal . The staff were friendly and welcoming.
Our room was a deluxe with a lovely view over Roma Street Parklands and towards the mountains.
The room was well appointed, clean and comfortable. The shower over a bath had heaps of pressure. There was a nice balcony with seating. There was a pod coffee machine as well as coffee and tea making facilities.
We had complimentary breakfast with our deal. You order a breakfast package with a beverage and a meal.
My husband had the scrambled eggs with mushrooms and bacon while I had the omelette with tomato and chorizo.
We had a car and are very grateful it is only medium as the parking area is very tight.

We stayed here the night before leaving on a cruise that was leaving from the International Cruise Terminal. The main reason we chose this hotel was its close proximity to Roma Street Station as we caught the train from the airport. While it is close to the train station it is located at the top of a reasonable hill and it took a bit of effort to navigate the way to the top, apart from the effort. Several escalators/lifts and then a steep path with no real directions on which way to go. I thought I would be able to see the hotel to give me an idea which way but had to resort to Google Maps to find the way. Unfortunately we were on an early flight into Brisbane so as it was 09:30AM I was not expecting our room to be ready but just needed to store our bags so we good do some exploring. As expected, our room was not ready but the guy behind the counter checked me in, stored our bags and advised that the hotel was busy and our room would not be ready until about 02:00PM. No worries we will be back. We arrived back at 01:00PM and our room was still not ready and waited in the foyer till 02:00PM as previously discussed.
Reception gave me our keys and we proceeded to our room on Level 1, or so I thought……..room card would not let me use the lift. Back to reception to have the card re-coded.
On entry to our room, it was reasonably spacious and looked clean and reasonably comfortable. Décor a bit dated, but functional. We had a rather large balcony but we could not use it as there was no furniture so the balcony was wasted. Bathroom was small but functional, bit dated but appeared clean. It was only after we used the toilet several times that we noticed water on the floor. We ignored it for quite a while as we thought we had spilt water on the floor but it was not till the next morning that I realised it was coming from under the toilet. I reported it to reception on checkout.
As we were tired from our early start we chose to order room service. While we knew how much it was going to cost it was very expensive. Two hamburgers and chips over $70. A bit steep, but as we were so tired we paid so we did not have to go out. The hamburgers were good by the way, but still way too expensive.
Overall, this hotel was OK, but the room was supposed to be a superior room. OK. I would hate to be in a Standard Room………..as the room was pretty average for a Superior.
After reading some of the other reviews the price we paid was fair and the location is good, just not when you have to push two big suitcases that we were taking on a cruise up the hill from the station.
PS. It cost us $73 in the taxi to get to the Cruise Terminal.

I’ve stayed in many hotels all over Brisbane from 4 star to 5 star. This hotel is very comfortable and brilliant priced for the City. I’ve stayed in different categories. The best value for money, with a huge balcony, beautiful beds is the 2 bedroom deluxe. It doesn’t cost much more but well worth the extra space. The heating and air con is really good. The rooms do not smell like a lot of hotels I’ve stayed in.

If you love a large balcony and close to Brisbane Private Hospital this is the best pick I’ve found. It’s in a great walking distance area too and offers parking for $15. Restaurant downstairs, coffee shops, pharmacy and woolies not too far away. Brisbane can be very hilly so a lot of accomodation can be very misleading.

I love a comfortable bed, big balconies, close to things. I prefer this hotel over a couple of 5 stars I’ve stayed. This hotel is in good condition for its age. The price is very good - defiantly upgrade even if you don’t need the other room. The lounge is bigger and the whole apartment is better positioned.

I’ve stayed lower floors. The higher floors are nicer. More private and not as noisey and you get beautiful views. A Bonus to have parking - a bit tricky but a park is a park in Brisbane.

An excellent position if you are wanting a five minute walk to Brisbane Private Hospital or Roma Street Station or Parklands, or a five minute drive to Brisbane CBD. Staff were so kind and did everything to make my stay easy and restful in my busy week. Request of a room upgrade away from the lifts was not a problem (thank you Emma, I slept)! Staff offered to help in any way, the food was excellent and there were many little details like free parking, robes, coffee machine and the offer to forgo room service daily (I like to save washing of towels and pull up my bed anyway) in exchange for a $10 food voucher. We will be back!

We were an adult family travelling, and recently booked 3 rooms for two nights - 2 x superior studios and 1 x family suite. While the furniture in the hotel foyer was lovely, the family suite had a couch that was extremely shabby - faded, arms looked like they had been attacked by a cat (several times over) and had a broken back leg. The superior rooms (on the 9th floor) both had ants in the bathroom.
It was certainly over-priced for the quality we received.

I went here for a family holiday with parents and my sister during Australian School Holidays. The hotel overall was really good in many ways.

Firstly, amenities. As a keen swimmer, it was nice to have a pool, and even though it was winter and outdoor, it was nice after a while of swimming in it. The gym was also well-stocked of equipment, which worked well.

The hotel room was very nice. Large TV sufficient enough to watch shows properly. The room temperature was also very, very good, as it could be easily adjusted. The bathroom was really good, well stocked with soaps and towels.

Room service was very good. Everyday when my family returned back from our adventure in the city, the room was neat and tidy as we first saw when we arrived here.

The restaurant here was phenomenal. The food was well-cooked and well-plated. Service was also really good here.

The hotel also had great transport connections. Outside the hotel is a bus stop for a free bus loop service that takes you to the city. Also a personal favourite, but also located close to Roma Street Station. This was very helpful, as I caught the train up here, and it terminates at Roma Street. The place also provided great views of the Roma Street Parkland.

Overall, if I came back to Brisbane, I would definitely come back here again. I cannot speak more highly of this place!

Hello! I got from the airport to the hotel arriving at Central Station. There are 2 stations near Urban Hotel: Central and Roma Street. Both you need to go uphill, but Central Station path is smoother. However expect to reach the hotel sweaty. Turbot street exit appears to be the shortest and less steep way to Urban hotel, walking. To ask for early check in, I suggest to deal diectly with the hotel.
