Royal On The Park Hotel & Suites is often celebrated for its excellent value, despite occasional comments about additional costs. Nestled close to Brisbane's Botanical Gardens and CBD, guests are delighted by its prime location and the ease of exploring nearby attractions on foot. The hotel's fusion of historic charm with modern amenities captivates guests, who also commend the cleanliness and spaciousness of the rooms. While the hotel offers a range of amenities, some guests mention extra charges for services like parking. The service quality has received mixed reviews, ranging from highly attentive to less responsive, and while effective noise control is acknowledged, a few guests have noted disturbances.

The hotel was really pretty, old style but clean, new and tidy. We had booked it because of the great price and as it turned out it was such great value for money in a perfect location, especially if visiting the River Stage. I would stay there again. The beds and the room were comfortable and clean.

A few family members stayed 2 nights for the Ekka long weekend, great location and free parking a plus. Rooms well appointed, not a fan of the bidet toilet seat. Great park views. They're taking the covid situation seriously and are cleaning regularly and ensuring social distancing between customers and staff etc...the buffet breakfast is no more due to covid too and that is great, a la carte menu is better and cooked perfectly to order. Staff friendly and helpful. Will be back.

To enable us to go to a work function in the city my wife got a great room rate here for one night. The hotel is opposite the botanical gardens, which are beautiful and pa short walk into the CBD and Southbank.
We had a VIP room on the 8th floor overlooking the rear of the hotel looking down at the pool & parking.
Check in was easy with the mandatory QR code check in as well. When we checked in we unexpectedly we received 2 $10 drinks vouchers & a $10 restaurant voucher & a discounted rate on the hotel breakfast all.
The drinks vouchers were good for a Coopers beer & a house wine in the bar, which is very nice
The room was clean, quite large with a king size bed. Ample storage space, tea coffee etc with real milk in the fridge. The bathroom had a good size shower and most surprising an electronic toilet!
This is a toilet/bidet arrangement with a heated seat and a multifunctional cleaning & drying option. I gave it a go, well you have to, don’t you. Pretty incredible to be honest.
All was good so far and it was looking to be a 5 star review until we had breakfast
I can totally understand the need for changes in this current COVID world and the hotel was using a serviced buffet approach.
Sadly my experience was a total shambles, inconsistent approach to service between guests and staff trying to be efficient & not achieving any improvement in the service. Consequently cold coffee, burnt toast & missing hash browns resulted.
I was very disappointed and gave my feedback on this poor service to the restaurant manager as we left.
The plus side was the breakfast was pretty darn good, excellent scrambled eggs & mushrooms in the full breakfast option.
Overall it’s a smashing hotel, clean, well laid out in a great location, sadly the service let it down for me at this time. Though I would definitely stay here again.

With onsite parking and free wifi, we enjoyed a well priced, comfortable premium room with 2 queen beds on the 8th floor.

As a young family of 4, we enjoyed our 1 night stay. The kids enjoyed the pool and the location was great for what we wanted to do in the city. The staff were friendly.

We would definitely stay here again.

Adequate 4 star accommodation .

We had a King suite with city views which were over the Botanical gardens. The room on the 1st floor was very clean, spacious and had a very pleasant, large balcony which was shared with 7 rooms but was partitioned off to afford some privacy. This type of balcony was on the 1st floor.

This room had a good walk in shower. Not all rooms do. (Some have the shower over the bath.) To say the hot water supply was variable is an understatement. Towels were white and aged but not tatty. There is a bidet, although it is difficult to operate.

The bed was very comfortable, there is a desk, lounge chair, large TV and adequate wardrobe space. A safe is also available.

Check in was professional and efficient. Tiffany, a trainee and Tekin, the Front Desk Manager were both particularly helpful and accommodating .

The pool is small (about 12 metres) but adequate. There is also a kids pool.

Rooms are cleaned daily on request

Parking is limited, very tight and difficult to access, especially with a large car. It is normally $35 per day but with our 3 night package, was free.

Location is good and within walking distance to the CBD and immediately opposite the Botanical Gardens which is a great place to exercise or commune with nature.

Recommended as a good 4 star hotel, well located with all necessary amenities.
Staff were friendly and helpful.

Overnight stay on a Sat. Park view room; lovely view and the block out blinds are very effective. Staff friendly and helpful. Asked for an early check in due to a Qpac show and they were kind enough to accommodate this request. Room well appointed. There was sometimes a high pitched whine from shower pipes nearby but it did cease soon. Bathrooms could do with a makeover or update but this could be a costly undertaking. Overall very happy with my stay and will be back.

We arrived on Oz day but had already booked for a meal in the Walnut restaurant which worked well. The food was superb as was the wine and service.
The reception staff were great and allocated our room which overlooked the Botanical Gardens. It was a large room with two double beds, very comfortable.
Breakfast was buffet style with a good choice of cereals, fresh fruit and hot dishes.
The pool was large and clean surrounds with plenty of sun beds and towels.
The location of the hotel was great - close to the shops, Eagle Street Pier and across the road from the Botanical gardens and also close to all forms of public transport.
Finally 10/10 to all the staff who were friendly and efficient.
I'm from the UK and have already booked for next January.

Very disappointed with our stay at this hotel. bathroom is very dated, carpet old and heating was broken. It was freezing in the room, when you stay at a hotel during winter where temperatures get down to single digits you expect a '4'star hotel to have proper heating. We were given a tiny oil heater and told it would heat things up in 30 minutes, we had to leave the heater on all night just to stop shivering! The shower took at least 5 minutes to run hot water also. Overall not up to the standard of what we paid and expected from this hotel. Will not stay here again.

So lucky to spend a night in this hotel. In these difficult times, the friendliness and excellent service provided by the staff made my time at the Royal a genuine pleasure.

The booking service was exemplary, and then I arrived at the hotel to be welcomed by Christopher, surely one of Australia's best concierges.

My hotel room looked over the beautiful botanic gardens, and was a short walk to the Goodwill bridge and Southbank, the city, and the river. Bicycles are available to hire adjacent to the hotel, and the bicycle paths are impressive.

The room was so lovely, and very well kept, and clean. The bath luxurious, and the bed enormous and comfortable.

The swimming pool opened on the day I arrived and I enjoyed very much swimming in such a large and clean pool.

Every staff member I met smiled warmly, and engaged in pleasant conversation. What a lovely and friendly group of professionals! Thanks to the cleaner who helped me find my wallet when I was tired.

Appreciated the effort to deliver my room service early so I could make my afternoon flight. If you are lucky enough to stay at this hotel, I hope you are also lucky enough to enjoy the potato and onion soup.

A big thank you to Christopher, who really did make this a very special stay. Look forward very much to visiting again.
