Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have stayed at the Diana Hotel several times, and always find it a perfect stay. Can I make a special mention to the front counter staff who I find always to be really pleasant and helpful. The same goes for the breakfast room staff.....so refreshing these days. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The parking is free, and safe although finding your way out can be tricky until you get to know the geography. Breakfast if a buffet, with everything that you would need. No dining room at night, but there are lots of eateries all around. A great but very crowded Thai restaurant just next door. The central position is also close to the city. I will certainly stay here again when next in Brissy.

We visit and stay regularly when having six months treatment at Mater private. It is a short walk across to the hospital and you can check out and leave your car there in their car park untill ready to depart. There are great restaurants and a small shopping centre right next door with a fabulous bakery and a convenience store like a small Superette. Hotel is very clean and staff pleasant. Beds comfy showers great.shop around for prices. Haven't stayed for breakfast but it looked really nice. Highly recommend if going to the Mater for day surgery and having to overnight.

Our family group of eight had three rooms for six nights in August. The beds were comfortable and the lobby was spacious. This is a very busy area with several medical facilities surrounding the property. Easy walk to many different restaurants (and the soccer stadium where World Cup games played). The breakfast buffet was okay but a bit pricey. The coffee machine in the lobby was not working but there was another machine in the breakfast area (but staff in there did not like us using it, my sister-in-law was told she shouldn't be in there). Parking was free and we did find spaces each night but it was a near thing, very busy. All in all a decent stay that fit our needs at a reasonable price.

I wish I could say I enjoyed my stay at the Diana, but unfortunately an emergency required us to leave our first night. However, I am grateful to the staff and manger that handled the problem professionally and refunded our remaining stay. I can say that we were there long enough to enjoy an easy walk to South Bank, check out one of the many good restaurants there. Additionally our room was very nice and comfortable. I look forward to staying there in the future.

Had an excellent stay here. Went up to Brisbane for a weekend away to watch my team the Geelong Cats take on the Brisbane Lions at the GABBA - and this decided to book this hotel as it was situated in walking distance to the ground. It exceeded by expectations - extremely friendly and welcoming staff (who remember your name which makes it personal), basic but very nice and clean room with everything you need (including complimentary tea and coffee facilities), on site restaurant for breakfast (which I did not use but the buffet sounded really nice), no pool but that did not bother me - the hotel was great for the price. It’s listed as a 3 star hotel but to me it seemed superior to that. Not an overly large hotel, but it seems to include all the benefits and facilities that the bigger ones do. The friendliness of the staff really stood out. Ideal location for going to the AFL football at the GABBA (unfortunately my team lost) but that did not deviate from the great experience I had here. It’s also in walking distance to south bank and the beautiful Brisbane river walks. Will definitely stay here again when I return to Brisvegas for another footy trip!

Stayed for 3 nights in July, the staff were friendly and there are bars and cafes all around, the hotel is well positioned 15 min walk into the main shopping area and 20 min to the football stadium. The room was a good size great shower in a newly refurbed bathroom, the carpet and some of the furniture could do with renewing but for £60 a night, plus free parking, we would stay again.

Stayed here whilst my daughter had surgery, the hotel was generous with parking, allowing me to park car prior and post check in, which I really appreciated. Room basic but very clean and comfortable.

I liked this hotel better than the 5 star hotel we stayed in at the Gold Coast. This Hotel is extremely well kept for an older property. Property was clean, had a warm comfortable feel and lots of complimentary items which topped our stay. Bed was softer than most hotels, pillows were soft. The convenience of it being a walk away from South Bank and the near by hospitals was great. Free parking and $25 buffet breakfast on site if needed
