Detailed Reviews
Stayed at this property for four nights prior to a 2 week cruise. We came from overseas and were permitted to check in early which was nice after a 15 hr flight. We had a king room on the 3rd floor. The room was not large but very well appointed, comfortable and very clean. There were wine glass in the room, small fridge, and coffee/tea making facilities, including an occasional chair and table for sitting at. The bathroom was a tile and the shower had great pressure. The front desk staff were very friendly and always greeted us when we passed by. The location of the hotel is nice, less than 5 min walk to the south bank and adjacent to the Brisbane Brewing Company pub and some food court type restaurants. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Brisbane, as the service, quality and location was great value for the price paid!

Even though this hotel is on a main road and opposite a hospital it was surprisingly quiet in the rooms. Hotel was exceptionally clean from the foyer to the rooms. Beds were very comfortable. Location was great if you needed to go to the Mater Hospital, and also within walking distance to a variety of restaurants in the area.
Only reason it doesn't get full marks is signage to drive in to the hotel. We drove past not realising it was there and had to turn around and come back.

The Hotel Diana is our favourite place to stay when we have appointments at the Children hospital, mainly because of its location close to the hospital and South Bank. We make our trips into a mini holiday so its not just a hospital trips for the kids and they can actually have fun, especially at South Bank after the hospital stuff is done.
Great hotel, great staff and everything you need is close by. Shops, restaurants, pubs, South Bank, buses etc, and the hospitals.
Good internet, newspaper to your door, breakfast downstairs and great staff!
The front rooms are a bit noisy for us but after the first night we're used to it, just normal city hustle bustle.
We'll be back!

While the room was lovely and great location to the Princess Theatre where I was going to a gig that night, unfortunately the next morning put a dampen on things when someone (assuming housekeeping) stormed into my room at 8am, no knocking or anything. Let's just say I got quite a huge shock as I was still in bed. Staff might need some more training to know if a room is occupied or not as its not a nice feeling to have someone just storm into your room while you are still in bed and give you the fright of your life.

Hotel Diana whilst not in middle of downtown Brisbane is just the perfect spot for travelling anywhere in Brisbane without worrying about how to get around or where to park your car. It's got a great breakfast buffet and a diverse range of different cafes & restaurants within easy walking distance. Buses and trains are close and its not going to cost you a bomb to stay. Clean & comfy are the rooms and a great choice of different types of rooms for the size of your group

This is a really nice hotel to stay at. It is not that old, as I remember seeing it being built about 20 years ago and thinking how up market it was for the then not so great area. This has all since changed, as there are now all sorts of eateries and cafes in easy walking distance. It is close to South Bank and the city.
The hotel itself is clean, and the rooms are large and comfortable. I even had a mezzanine type balcony, which looked down to the front entrance and reception.
The bathroom was surprisingly roomy for my double room, and the shower was huge.
Staff was always polite and nothing was too much trouble. The buffet breakfast in the dining room was very adequate, with all the usual choices of hot or cold type food for $25. The coffee machine, once mastered, produced surprisingly good coffee....and it was hot, which is not always the case with these fancy machines.
I would certainly stay here again if the occasion arose.

Stayed after landing from a cruise ship and flying from Melbourne to Brisbane, and attending a medical appointment the next day.
The Hotel is handy to local eateries, parking around the back, receptionist was very helpful, and every thing had that just cleaned feel about it. Would recommend and stay again

This hotel was excellent. The staff were very helpful, rooms were clean and well presented. The hotel is an older facility, but the location is so central and easy to get to, and the prices make it really great value. There is free off street parking available, as well as secure parking for a fee. Great food and proper coffee available close-by too.

We were looking for a hotel within easy reach of the Convention Centre on Southbank and the Hotel Diana reviews were impressive.
On arrival Kirsty at reception provided a seamless check in.
The excellent appearance of the lobby/ reception hall extended to the rest of the hotel including our room which looked as though it had been refurbished recently. Similarly the en suite featured new fittings including a lovely ‘rain’ shower.
Other things of note include peace and quiet, an efficient ( and again quiet) air conditioner with heat setting, a good sized flat screen tv with Netflix, free wi fi, tea/ coffee making facilities, safe, desk and all the usual trimmings.
The king bed ( two beds joined with an infill down the centre) was comfortable and the linen/ doona were excellent.
The hotel has a dining area with breakfast at a reasonable $20 per head and there is a really nice sun terrace.
Parking underneath is free whereas many City hotels charge for the privilege.
As the heading says… this was a great find and we’ve rebooked for a function at Southbank ( $10 taxi ride) in September

From the first friendly welcome at reception to the final 6th day, this hotel constantly provided excellent service.
The hotel was attractive and stylish, and very comfortable.
It was also spotlessly clean with quality bath sized towels. The shower was probably the best I’ve ever seen.
It was especially good to see two attractive chairs and a small glass table. The only omission is the lack of any drawer/ shelf space, even in the wardrobe meaning guests are living out of the suitcase for smaller items of clothing.
Despite being next to a busy hospital, it was surprisingly quiet at night apart from possible local weekend social activity on Fri and Sat nights. Internally the hotel seemed quite well soundproofed but not the windows.
There is a useful laundry for guest use, a good breakfast restaurant and a pretty little patio at the rear.
Location was perfect. The Mater Hill bus station is just 3-5 mins walk away.
Highly recommend the incredible bus service, which runs underground in parts and avoids all other traffic.
The my transit app is easy to use for plan journeys in Brisbane and surrounding areas, and the Go card is easily available from machines at the stations, saving money on paper tickets. Public transport is cheap.
Unfortunately there seems to be no cheap access to the city from the airport and this forces the use of the Airtrain, which has a few offers on its independent website.
It is just 5-8 mins walk to the attractions of South Bank, and the Goodwill Bridge which is a great pedestrian/bike route to the Botanical Gardens.
This hotel fully deserves it great reviews.
