Needed a place for my son and i to stay that was close by to hospital. Staff were friendly room was clean and tidy but a little dated. Bed was nice. Location was perfect for what we needed. Shower was decent out tiles sloped so water would run out into the rest of the shower area.

Dissapointed , we stayed for my husbands admission to the hospital. The room 605 was in need of a refurbishment. We have twice before in different appartments on the 8 th floor and the 4 th floor. This was missing several things that the other appartments had. We were given three pillows they were two soft and I had to request another pillow. I went looking for a washing machine and dryer and was told not in this unit. Floor 6 laundry was out of action and was directed to floor 5 or floor 1 . The bath was high to get into and for someone with a back operation it was not good enough. Then the television , we had an old remote that the numbers were worn off . When I rang for assistance was told it was not a smart tv . It was not the correct remote for the television. Netflix is advertised as part of the accomodation. There was no way my husband could watch Netflix. The cooking utensils were terrible. We cooked a roast in a baking dish which was starting to peel off. Two pans one without a lid the other one had a lid which was not correct. The room phone to ring reception did not work. The book in the room has not been updated. The view was very good but the balcony was very small.

Staff helpful. Great views and good accomodation. Handy apartments for anyone with a vehicle as there is reserved parking for all units on the property. It appears to be set up for people who provide their own food. Not recommend for those without transport as there is no cafe, deli or food shop very close. One very obliging staff member helped us out with some food items. Air conditioner needs attention and shower water pressure very poor.

Stayed in a room for 3 adults was 3 single beds which could be reconfigured accordingly. Room had a small dining table & chairs, microwave, kettle, toaster, glasses, cups. Small balcony with a 2 chair table. We were on 6 floor & had city views including story bridge. Rooms are very clean & pressure in shower fantastic while only hall cubicle. Due to show running late & traffic we had to check in after reception had closed but this wasn’t an issue at all

Hillcrest is close to everything you need... Southbank, 10 min walk to the Gabba... Mater Hospital... Bus Station.

The staff were very friendly and when we needed something, they went out of there way to help.

Bed was comfortable for a good night's rest.. we had continenal breakfast 2 of the 3 mornings we stayed.

Stayed one night at Hillcrest apartments on Vulture Street on the second floor facing the pool grounds and street. Comfortable and clean, but the traffic noise did not stop until after midnight. Possibility better on higher floors if available. Definitely need double glass windows to reduce traffic noise here.

Nothing fancy but good location, clean and a comfortable bed (walk to the Mater Hospital, Gabba, South Bank , CBD or Suncorp), free car parking.
Stayed here twice in different rooms, both similar layouts with small balcony.
Reception staff friendly

Stayed in the Hinterland Suite, wow, what an awesome room. So open and spacious. Great views, great balcony. Couled easily have a party on it. The whole wall on one side is windows. Open or close the electric blinds. Lay in bed and watch outside. Great kitchen facilities. No noise from any where whatsoever. Definately recommend. Excellent value for money. Only one complaint was the housemaid left someones packet of nuts, biscuits and onions in the cupboard. But big deal, everything else what great. Definately stay again.

The view from the rooms overlooking the river was great and rooms were spacious. The hotel staff were gloomy and did not know much about their city. I ordered a non smoking room but still woke up suffocating at night because of the strong smoking from the neighbouring room. The location of the hotel is close to the boardwalk with beautiful gardens but it is far away from the central and shopping area. I wouldnt stay it is the worst hotel but for the price you pay, it is not the best. I stayed in two other hotels during my visit to Australia with very friendly staff so this one was the only one I didnt really like.

We stayed for a single night because of the proximity to the Mater Hospital but soon realised the proximity to the city. A short stroll to Southbank saw us eating a great meal that evening. The room was a little dated in decor but was well equipped, clean and very spacious. Not much to see from the balcony apart from the CBD towers but such a convenient location for Southbank access or even the city if you want affordable accommodation.

Hi. My flight arrives late into Brisbane. Will reception be open when l arrive at approx. 11pm at night. Thanks. Gary

Hi Gary, Central Hillcrest has a night code to access the building after reception hours. I would contact them directly on the day - and request the code (you will probably need to proffer your credit card for the security swipe first, so you can access your room)... hopefully they have a 'night safe' for key pick ups after hours. Hope this helps. Cheers Sue

I think it was about 2.5 -2.8 meters. My navara with a 2"lift kit fit no problem. But there is parking on the top floor of the car park just outside of reception no height restrictions not covered.
