Hilton Brisbane garners mixed reviews, with guests lauding its central location near Brisbane's attractions and the cleanliness of its rooms. The service receives high marks for professionalism, particularly in the executive lounge.
However, some guests feel the rooms and decor are outdated and not reflective of the hotel's luxury status, suggesting a renovation may be in order. While the amenities are generally appreciated, there are mentions of inconsistencies and additional costs that have left some questioning the overall value.

The Hilton Brisbane for home for 3 nights while in the area and I found it to be in a great location and a good base while exploring Brisbane.
Arriving from Brisbane train station it's best to get the lift from Queen St. to the 6th floor where the checkin desks are located if you are arriving on foot otherwise enter via Elizabeth St. Checkin was quick and was soon on the way to my room on the 20th floor. The lifts are cool and have a great view over the lobby and bar area and quite fast too.
The room was your generic Hilton room and very sparely decorated - a shelf with nothing on it looked odd and the colors were not very inspiring but the bed was comfortable and clean, there was plenty of space and the view toward city hall was super.
The bathroom was a decent size, easy to use shower and plenty of towels with shampoo and shower gel in dispensers fixed to the wall.
Plenty of wardrobe space and a kettle to make tea/coffee. There was also a minibar with items for sale and a fridge to keep your water or soda cold. The wifi worked well and was easy to connect it. The pool area was well maintained and never busy so you could always swim a few lengths or relax in the sun.
Breakfast was on the lobby floor and really good, loved the juicer so you could make your own juice with the fruit and vegetables which were available. The cooked items were of good quality and hot ! Plenty of cold mats and cheese , the pastries and bread selection was amazing, eggs cooked to order if you did not want fried or scrambled. A lot of choice and a great start to your day. it was just a shame the space is dark with no natural light - a minor point.
You can walk to most things from here and the staff were all friendly and helpful. A good choice if looking for a central Brisbane hotel.

I've stayed here a few times for a staycation and it has always been a great experience.
This one was to celebrate an anniversary and as a Diamond member we were upgraded to a King Suite - huge room with separate lounge and large walk-in robe. All expected amenities were provided. A very clean, comfortable, modern and well-decorated room with great views over the city.
Fast and friendly check-in and check-out. Executive lounge was wonderful with complimentary soft drinks, tea, coffee and cakes all day long and between 6-8pm there are alcoholic drinks and a good buffet - we didn't need dinner after! Full breakfast buffet in the restaurant was plentiful, good quality and tasty. Fantastic service from all staff.
Good facilities - heated pool and spa, gym. Perfect location with direct lift access to Queen St Mall.
Thanks for another wonderful stay!

The quality you'd expect from a main-brand Hilton is apparent here. My king-sized room was spacious, scrupulously clean, with a comfortable bed, a very useable desk, a nice sofa and an interesting view. The hotel is well-located with entrances to the Queen Street Mall and to Elizabeth Street. While it's the kind of hotel where you can have minimal contact with staff, what I did have was excellent. Very professional staff at breakfast (which was excellent), and when I needed help with my internet connection. It's a marketing truism that customer problems are actually opportunities to show exceptional service and this was a good example. Multiple staff sought to sort out the problem with the internet in my room. Professional and well-mannered.
The one quibble I did have was an unexpected charge for internet of $10 per night - particularly given that I'm a Hilton Honours member. When are hotels going to get rid of this antediluvian idea - internet access should be a given in a hotel like this, not some special 'extra' to be charged for. If Hilton wants to squeeze a few extra dollars out of their customers why not charge for water, electricity, or laundering the sheets! Come on Hilton, you're better than this. Either absorb the cost or increase the room rate by the requisite amount.

Stayed here for two nights over a weekend. Reservation was made at short notice. Pros: Courteous staff Convenient location with easy access to Queen St Managed to check in 2 hours before scheduled time Spacious room Comfortable bed Good in room lighting Cons: No amenities such as makeup remover pads, cotton tips or shower cap provided in bathroom (needed to ask at reception) Excessive wait time for coffee at breakfast and dishes were not cleared promptly which is problematic when small table with limited space Reservation included breakfast so we were most surprised to see a charge for coffee on our account, particularly as we were not advised coffee was excluded from breakfast (this is a first as coffee is generally included as part of breakfast in other hotels of similar standard). Thankfully we were refunded when we disputed the charge, however a minor inconvenience. In room air conditioning fan made squeaky noise which was loud enough to wake us up. To remedy the situation we ended up turning off the air conditioning Hotel is rather tired and is in need of a refresh Some street noise on lower levels (Elizabeth St side) which is suspect is due to weekend and revellers out late
Overall I would consider staying again for the location. Would opt for a higher floor and request my account before departure (so that any disputed charges can be resolved prior to check out).

Excellent room, staff are so friendly and always happy to speak to you, even the cleaner was lovely! Rooms were immaculate and we appreciated the provisions such as wall soap dispensers in the bathroom or shower, water bottles and the selections of tea, coffee pods and milk. The king sized bed and pillows were so comfortable and we were warm and cosy having the air conditioner set the whole time to a comfortable temperature. We did not get a chance to use the gym and pool but we checked them out and they were fantastic. Would definately stay there again.

Even though we live in Brisbane, we decided to stay at the Hilton Brisbane so I could easily walk to the start line of the Brisbane Marathon on June 2, 2024. The experience was fantastic from start to finish.
The rooms were beautifully appointed and came with all the amenities one could need, including bathrobes, slippers, lotions, and toothbrushes. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor pool and spa, which provided the perfect way to relax after the marathon.
The city views from our room were stunning and added to the overall experience. Additionally, we were able to get a late check-out at 1 pm for free, which was incredibly convenient.
The staff were exceptionally helpful and accommodating throughout our stay, ensuring we had everything we needed.
I highly recommend Hilton Brisbane for anyone visiting the city, whether for an event like the Brisbane Marathon or just a relaxing getaway.

Hilton Brisbane is in the perfect spot – right in the heart of Brisbane and on the Queen St Mall. (It’s also a 5minute walk to Central Station where the Airtrain brings you straight from the airport). It’s a Harry Seidler-designed hotel and has a massive lobby and atrium filled with plenty of light.
I arrived on a busy Sunday afternoon and was warmly welcomed by Concierge Matthew who assisted in advice on parking, shopping and directions. He was so professional, helpful and caring. The perfect start. (The hotel is also a few blocks away from the river including Eagle Pier). Check-in was fast and efficient with friendly front desk officer, Lachlan. He explained all the facilities and I was good to go.
My room was on the 24th floor, whisper quiet and with a super comfortable bed filled with a range of pillows. The bathroom had a shower with fluffy white towels, good water pressure and towel rail (I like to hang up my towel to re-use the next day). The room also had a good sized desk (plenty of power points) and a comfy work chair allowing easy “virtual” work meetings.
Breakfast is sensational and served in the Vintaged Restaurant (level 6, opposite reception). The range on offer is excellent and all incredible tasty and high quality. Some highlights for me – the yogurt range, the freshly made juices/smoothies (loved the berry one in particular), the ability to squeeze your own juice, and the omelette station where the chef makes your omelette to order while you wait. Chef Helen made me a sensational omelette filled with ham, spinach, mushroom, capsicum and I also had some grilled mushrooms which made it a perfect breakfast. Good range of cereal and pastries too.
The gym is located on level 7 and is very spacious with a good range of equipment. Covid safe with lots of sanitizing wipes and sanitizer. Water also available.
I was also lucky to have access to the Executive Lounge during my stay. It’s on the 25th floor and an oasis during the day – somewhere you can take a Zoom/Teams call or just sit and have a quiet drink (soft drinks on offer plus tea/coffee). Plus cheese and drinks in the evening. Perfect.
I travelled with 5 other colleagues and we were all looked after by Geri who heads up the reservations and groups. She was incredibly responsive, helpful and professional – just brilliant. The Vintaged Restaurant unfortunately wasn’t open on Monday night but Geri provided some great options for us – excellent.
All the staff I encountered during my stay were engaging, warm and friendly – making me feel welcome and creating a “home away from home”. The perfect place to stay in Brisbane – a true luxury hotel.

Location: This property is centrally located in the pedestrian area of Brisbane. It has a convenient valet parking with direct lifts to the lobby which is on the 6th floor.
Checkin/Service: We stayed at this property twice this week. The service was consistently well above average and I would rate it as one of the best in Australia. Although the property is not the newest the staff are very well trained, friendly and accommodating. Upon return from a walk they provide you water when you re-enter the hotel. Breakfast service is very good and so is the loung service on the 25th floor.
Rooms: The rooms feature nice city views. They hotel has been around many years but the rooms are well kept and maintened and feature coffee machines and a comfortable working area.
Breakfast/Restaurant: The breakfast is very nice and the buffet is well refreshed. The egg kitchen provides fresh dishes on demand and the barrister coffe is freshly brewed.

Looks like a luxury hotel ,but Far away from luxury! we stayed at Hilton surfer paradise for a few days before coming to this hotel and were shocked how inferior the service at this hotel was compared to Hilton surfer paradise ! Rooms are old ,they only gave us two towels even though there were 3 of us in the room ,the hair dryer was so old with old technology that made our hair quite static ‘,break fast was not good at all ,my 7 year old daughter could not serve her self since the lids for the dishes were so heavy that she could not lift them up and I am not sure why they use small pots like this for a big buffet ,coffee was cold …. Every thing seems so cheap ,quite obvious that they are cutting back at a lot of services Over all not happy at all

+ Location is just awesome. The best hotel location in Brisbane Daily room cleaning was very sharp and well done Room service was quick Fitness area was OK. Friendly staff. Reception, breakfast restaurant and housekeeping. Breakfast is good with wide selection. Staff very efficient.
- Rooms are getting old (curtains, walls, carpets...) TV is so small. Kids menu not available with the QR Code in the room. When calling room service they provided us the kids menu choice. Not very wide when staying a few night. Main pool is cold, not heated. Cots are from the 80's! So old and squeaky. Bar location is right is the center of the hotel, so when busy it gets loud in the room. Breakfast coffee service : I would suggest to do like Hilton Sydney : leave the jug of coffee on the table, when table >2 persons. Because when we drink 2-3 mugs of coffee per person, we don't like calling the staff everytime for refill. Had experience in morning with a large group of Chinese tourists at breakfast. Just a nightmare in terms of guests experience. You should have separate large groups with individuals at the restaurant.
