We had a one-bedroom apartment for one night ahead of a flight. This place is definitely well located for access to the airport, although on a main busy road making it challenging to access.

On the positive side, check in was friendly and efficient, free parking was available, the apartment was spotlessly clean, location is also good for walking access to shops and restaurants, or the ferry if you want to venture further, the apartment is spacious and as we had a ground floor apartment we had a little courtyard we could sit in.

On the not so positive side, and hence the average rating, the apartment was in need of renovation with large cracks in the walls and a kitchen that was very 80s with an old cooker and Kelvinator fridge. There was also only 2 of everything in the kitchen, so if you needed to use anything again you had to wash up (no dishwasher of course). The bed was quite hard to sleep on, the bathroom small with a shower over bath combination - always difficult when you're a woman of a certain age who worries about tripping/falling. We could clearly hear our upstairs neighbour's conversation, and them opening and closing a sliding door - remember to take earplugs.

Overall the accommodation suited us for the location, but we'll probably stay somewhere else next time.

I should have taken advantage of the free cancellation within 24hours of our booked stay, and booked elsewhere.
I booked as we flew in for a cruise but the hotel is not near the port nor the airport, even though their own website says it is.
I also booked as it said it had a pool, restaurant and bar. Unfortunately not.
No breakfast is available and the restaurant is closed indefinitely even though it was advertised.
No shuttle to port or airport.
Rooms are dated but clean and well appointed. The bed is comfortable. I booked this to be close to the airport and cruise terminal, unfortunately, it's about 20km from both. The cruise terminal has moved and that's my fault for not checking since booking months ago.
So all in all, not suitable for our needs

We only stayed for one night - but it was perfect for what we needed. the beds were comfortable, the AC was great, the shower had really good pressure, etc etc. However, the best part by far was the service and staff. The receptionist was truly the kindest lady - she was friendly and accomodating to our requests, and me and my friend were both really impressed. The next morning when we checked out, another staff member was very kind in giving us a room for our luggage as our flight wasn’t until later that afternoon, so along with a later checkout, we didnt have to tote our suitcases around town with us all day. Overall, a very good experience.

I was having a late check in, confirming this 2 days prior to overnight stay, and was told by receptionist (who answered the phone in that morning) that I would receive a text/email with details of how to get into the hotel. However this never occurred, and the day of arrival I rang 8 times during office hours (2.30-5pm) to get instructions, all of which were never answered. And on ringing Qantas hotel assistance, I was on hold for 42 mins to them as they also, could not get any reply to phone calls etc to the hotel reception, again all during afternoon office hours before 5pm. Ringing after 5pm got through to the afterhours contact people who told me there was a phone at the hotel door to ring them and they would give me the details on arrival. Which was exactly all that was needed. The information given by the receptionist originally was of no help, and the reception phone not being answered most of the afternoon was extremely poor.
The phone in my room was completely dead and not working when I went to book a taxi back to the airport.
The aircon was on full bore and couldnt be turned off. But the duvet was thick and warm which at least made it warm enough to sleep.
The room was tidy and clean, but given the very poor reception assistance and communication (and not actually answering their phones during the afternoon) I would certainly not recommend this hotel unless you actually arrive during daytime hours when hopefully there MAY be a staff member who could assist you. Either that or wait for the afterhours contracted people who were so much more helpful.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Airport International Hotel. I wanted to stay close to the airport to get to my international flight early without any stress. Nancy, on reception, took care of this efficiently so I didn’t have to worry. I was pleasantly surprised how lovely Hamilton is with great restaurants and coffee shops. But my highlight was the citicat ferrys. One day I did one end of the route to another (suggested by Nancy). Then I got off at the city centre to do some shopping. One night I took a night ferry to visit friends in Bulimba for dinner, another restaurant paradise. Coming back by ferry after a concert at Southbank was truly magical sailing under the lights of the Storey Bridge. Upon arrival at Brett’s wharf the terminal was lit up with colourful lights providing me with a short safe walk back to the hotel. I enjoyed riverside walking to the Powerhouse for lunch and a stroll through the lovely gardens the activities are plentiful. On the practical side, after travelling for a couple of weeks I was able to do my washing for free. Nancy was friendly and cheerful and always helpful to answer questions and to provide information.

This place is really run down and filthy! During these times of Corona Virus, I was assuming that cleanliness and hygiene would be paramount.
Mould, hair, dead bugs, crumbs, thick cobwebs, filthy walls. It was horrible! Outside awnings were falling apart.
2 out of 3 Milks in the fridge were out of date!
Kitchen tap only just hanging there.
We arrived at night and left early the next morning so didn’t see any staff to ask to change rooms.
Loved the high ceiling and space in the room.

We stayed here recently as a family of 5 on our way from Sydney via Brisbane to Gladstone. We just needed an airport hotel. Very impressed with the size of our apartment, which had 2 bedrooms (queen plus 2 singles) and a fold out couch for our teenager in the living room. For the $195 I was really impressed with the size. Location was great with a huge playground nearby plus the marina for restaurants. The most impressive thing was that we found out our hire car was smaller than we expected and asked them to store a suitcase for us for 2 weeks while we traveled around. They did this free of charge. Really impressed with their cheerful customer service.

The first room I was allocated had a foul musty smell, like public toilets. The swimming pool was dirty. The bathroom had mould & bacteria. The bedside light was rusty.
Despite the hotel not being as advertised, I was refused a refund & told I would have to pay for an upgrade.

This was the first time we have stayed here, and from the time of booking ("H" was a delight to speak with), to the final day, the experience was wonderful. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable and the location very convenient for our purpose. Our unexpected extension to our stay was handled with a 'can do' attitude by the friendly staff ("H", Mary and Jen) which was of great relief to us. We were also able to leave our vehicle in the car park for a few hours after check-out which was very helpful. Restaurants and cafes were within walking distance, and the coffee from the petrol station across the road was surprisingly good. The local cinema was a handy distraction too. Would we recommend this hotel? You bet we would.

The $100 security deposit was not returned and had to arrange refund with bank. After several phone calls . The room was dated and needs a refresh. Staff could be more professional and friendly. Not the most pleasant of experiences.

Correct. Late check ins are done via a night safe box with a code. No issues there.

What are the options for transfers to/from Brisbane International? And what is your check-out time?
Answer from Debra G

Hi Glenys C I believe check-out time is 10a.m. Re: transfers, I think they offer a transfer service for a fee but probably best to phone or email reception with your queries and they will be only too happy to answer your questions. We normally drive ourselves from the motel to long-term parking and catch their courtesy bus.

Is there a free shuttle bus to the airport?
Brisbane, Australia
Hello The 2 bedroom apartment is suitable for 4 guests so 2 rooms would be required depending on the bedding configuration specific to your party. The date is required to advise at what time check out would be and how we may be able to help. Please contact our office at your earliest convenience. Unfortunately I cannot post an email address on Trip Advisor Kind regards Reception
