Loved Frisco Apartments, it was only 10 mins to walk to the Valley and 2 minutes to the CBD.

The pool was great and the 2 bedroom apartment we got was much better than the one shown in the photos.

Will stay again next time I'm in Brisbane for sure!

We stayed there a few months ago for 4 days. The hotel is nice, good size room, clean, bathroom is a little bit old fashioned but it was clean so not complaining about that. We were absolutely happy with the room. We checked in late after hours so we did not deal with the reception staff until our 4th day, which did not go well. They service the apartments weekly, which is fair enough, a lot of places do that, especially if you're booking a lower rate.

BUT, if you have guests which are staying for several days but less than a week, when you prepare the room for the check in, please put in enough toilet paper! On our third day I realized we had used all the toilet paper provided, so I called down to reception asking if we could please have another roll of paper. The guy at reception told me that they only service once per week. I replied that I was aware of that, and I was not asking for a full service, just ONE roll of toilet paper because I needed to use the toilet pretty bad! The reply was "oh… ok…." in a very surprised tone. What did you think I was asking for toilet paper for!?!

Than the man at reception said that it will take a while for the housekeeper to finish cleaning the rooms before he could bring me the toilet paper. EXCUSE ME? I understand that you need to clean the apartments and get them ready before the 2pm check in, but COME ON! It would take him 3 minutes max to bring some toilet paper to pregnant woman who really needs to pee! Or better yet, get off your cushiony reception chair and go up 4 levels with the elevator - again, 3 minutes tops! I bet your bathroom break takes longer than that!

Anyway, after I almost begged him for some toilet paper because I REALLY needed to use the toilet, he gave in and said he'll send the housekeepers. And I wait. And wait. And wait. And cross my legs and count to 100 and think of the Arizona desert. When I started contemplating peeing in the bathtub and was on the verge of tears, my husband called reception again and asked if we could please have that toilet paper that was promised to us. 2 minutes later we get the paper. Was that SO hard?????

So that really left us a with a bad taste. Pity, because the place really is nice. But god forbid you have an issue and need help from reception.

Stayed here for 3 nights.
There are positives and negatives for this accommodation.
Firstly, both Peter and Oliver give great customer service. Easy check in.
Bedding was super comfortable and unit large for the 2 of us.
Location is just perfect, walking distance to the city and restaurants.
Free parking and free wifi a definite plus.
Take advantage of the 2 free bus services - the first does a loop of Spring Hill, the second does a loop of the city.
Also take advantage of the free ferry along the river, where you can hop on/hop off.
Great transport system in Brisbane.
The negative -
Although our apartment was roomy, it was quite grubby.
The top of the fridge appears not to have been wiped over for months.
The shower has mould along the bath and there were hairs from previously not being cleaned.
The broom (which was stored by the washing machine) still had all hairs etc on the brush. Likewise the dustpan and broom. Cannot say if this was the cleaner's negligence or previous occupier.
I really dislike to be negative, especially when so many positive reviews, but needed to write the notes above.

Disgusting room, cockroaches, holes in the wall, dirty and mouldy. Avoid this place and save yourself an infection. Seriously over priced for such a putrid room. Managers are unfriendly and rude not to mention you’re expected to clean your own room and take out your own rubbish.

I had a three-night stay at Frisco Apartments in late September and was pleased I chose this property. I came for a couple of days of Big City Hit (I live in Cairns). Frisco is located very near to the Briso CBD & shopping (10-15 mins walk), Chinatown and Fortitude Valley (10 mins) and about 15 mins to the SouthBank Bridge. Very central.

This is a good property for a quick stay, or if you are working in Briso for a month or so or more. I saw people picking up their mail from their mail boxes in the foyer, so I would take it that there are semi-permanent residents as well at Frisco.

These are serviced apartments - but serviced only once a week - so if you want a hotel with room service, read no further.

I booked a Studio Apartment with balcony. I was on the lower stories, so no view, but I guess a view of the buildings all around. (Quite away from amenity - there was the most beautiful bird call between buildings about 6.00am - coming from a very nature-based environment, I found it fascinating that birds would still be living volubly in such a built-up city environment. Good stuff).

I found the accom excellent and clean, and stylish without being too minimalist. Comfy bed & linen & pillows, extensive wardrobe, small but adequate & clean bathroom, very well-equipped kitchen (even a teapot - yayyy!). I didn't need to use the laundry facilities, but there is a washer & dryer & large tub for soaking, also a drying rack out on the balcony with good clean pegs. Smoking is allowed out on the balcony as long as you close the doors to the apartment.

There is a small but adequate shopping centre about 3 minutes walk away - including a Woolies, bottle shop, bakery, etc., so it's easy to stock-up the kitchen, if you so wish. Within this complex was also a coffee shop, but they were renovating the week I was there, so I didn't do a coffee or a breafast. Chinatown & its wonderful multicultural restaurants is only a 10-min walk away.

The blokes at Reception were very amenable and helpful, although if you come in after business hours you need to organise your own entry, but this seems fairly simple. They were responsive, helpful and proactive - the washing machine in my room needed to be fixed, & they made sure I knew when the washing machine guy was coming, although I was only staying for three days.

There is also a 20-metre indoor pool on ground level & I think some exercise equipment. The pool stinks of chlorine - so if I were them, I would convert it to salt or ozone, but this is mere quibbling. I would also knock out some of the wall & put in glass bricks, but that is merely my aesthetic musing.

There is one parking space under the property for each apartment, so good for car people.

I was travelling as a single woman, & felt very safe here.

Only brickbat would be - no telephone book in room (or at Reception). Upon enquiring at Reception, I was told that phone books "were a thing of the past". Well, maybe if you have a smartphone, yes, but if you don't (me) & didn't bring your laptop (me, because I was on holidays) then a phone book is still an essential item - perhaps for only a few more years, but still highly useful. If you are looking for an essential service - say a particular craft shop or other specialist shop - not everyone is on the Web yet, or wants to be. Perhaps an internet kiosk in the reception area could fix this problem, if phone books are. Just a suggestion, guys.

In short - a great property, good people, central, clean, comfy bed, good kitchen, what more do you need? I think Frisco does a great job at an afforadble rate. Good on them.

The hallway smells before you enter your room. The walls have certain spots of repaintings done. The room is cleaned only once a week . Our towels were dried on a clothes dryer after we use them. There is only a shampoo and bath wash to use and one soap for each of the toilet after we use it. we have to buy our own soap , shampoo and hair conditioner. We're so glad we just have to sleep there we don't have to stay in the hotel too much because we're out the whole day that we were there. We have to throw away our own trash. We were very disappointed after coming from a hotel in Sydney that is very clean. The reception desk clerks were very nice though and very helpful.

Had a 3 night stay at Frisco Apartments and was pleasantly surprised ! We paid a little extra for an executive apartment and had a huge balcony plus all the usual apartment features. The block is situated in a side street away from the town centre so traffic noise is pretty much zero. Its an easy walk into the town and there is a Woolworths supermarket plus local shops very close by. Its also close to Central station for access to and from airport. Guys on reception were very helpful, good size indoor pool plus gym ( no free weights though )I`d certainly stay here again.

I was a regular at this property for several years - however a the property has changed management and the corporate type of feel no longer makes this property high on my list.

When booking you get a cold impersonal confirmation - which lays down the law. My last booking there for 5 nights had to be in a 2 bedroom unit - and so i had to pay a higher price - however when i arrived the unit had a most revolting unclean smell in the en suite bathroom - so much so i wanted to vomit everytime i went in - and the second bedroom was locked off with its main bathroom - If you are paying for a two bedroom unit then you have the right to get to use it - reception staff were certainly not as friendly as in the past - and made no attempt to remedy the problem.

This was my last stay here - im sure it will continue to prosper but not with my patronage - there are too many options in Brisbane and Spring Hill now - dont be totally put off - just make sure you do your home work.

It's a pity the new owner of management rights to this property had to go change the place - and not for the better.

So long its been good to know you - ive moved my alliances just up Bowen road to another property.

Location wise it is a good location in Spring Hill, near a supermarket, bottle shop, chemist, fast food options etc. Short walk to the Brisbane CBD (perhaps 10 minutes).
.
Reception has limited hours and seems very disorganised. Checking in after hours is possible - ask for details.

The unit I was given smelt a little bit musty. Saw a couple of (dead) cockroaches and the bed was a little saggy. But for the price I paid I thought it was ok value.

As is common with the new trend of "serviced apartments" being owned by individuals and letted out via a centralised booking structure - every room would be different.....

Frisco Apartments is situated in a great position between Brisbane CBD and Fortitude Valley. It is only a very short walk to anywhere in the inner city.
The apartment block is a clean and modern building with lift access to all floors.
We stayed in a very large one bedrooom apartment fitted out with all that you need to make a short stay to Brisbane comfortable. There is a nice sized kitchen with all appliances and cookware, a dining table, large lounge room, very large balcony with outdoor setting for six, bathroom with tub, laundry and very comfy bedroom with large wardrobe.
The apartment was spotlessly clean and was very warm and homey.
I would definitely recommend this hotel if you plan to stay in the inner city for a few days or weeks.
Frisco offers very good value for money!
