A pleasant surprise - rooms are newly remodeled and large. Good place to stay for a short stay. There is no view but if you need a place that is value for money, it is a good pick. It was quiet - has a restaurant, bar, conference facilities and bottle shop on premises - free parking.

After a couple of stays here to visit family who live nearby, we've found the Colmslie to be consistent in providing a comfortable, restful place to stay. Good food & drinks in the restaurant and bar;under-cover parking close to reception and friendly, organised staff.

We visited this hotel after a long hot day of work and ordered three beers. They cost $37! Even the guy who worked there said he wouldn't drink there - the beers were quite flat and we're certainly NOT in pint glasses as it turned out. The same beer in the adjoining bottle shop can be bought in a case...

Popped out for a quick business lunch. Service was great, our waitress was quick, efficient and friendly. Great place for lunch with such efficient service. I had the club sandwich which wasn't very impressive. I would have liked more lunch choices as mainly burgers or a full dinner.

The Hotel is well located to local shops and transport links (road and rail) into the city. It is not a picturesque location and I think the hotel is probably best suited for business travellers rather than holiday makers. The reception area is a bit soulless, there are a couple of sofas and a vending machine. It would have been...

Exceptional rooms, well fitted , perfectly convenient location, good price. Supermarkets, takeaways, public transport all within walking distance, and only 5 mins drive to Gateway Motorway, so easy to get anywhere from hotel. I always stay here when I come to Brisbane.

Close to facilities, this place is clean and well run. I have stayed 3 times and have found each time that the rooms are well presented and maintained. Staff are friendly and the food in the restaurant is great.

Stayed here for five days and the rooms and beds are very good but the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired. While the food is okay it is very basic pub food and for the prices charged is not value for money.

Thank Kim H
