The room was OK, nothing flash about this place but it's comfortable and close to restaurants. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, the shower was good. It got a bit chilly at night so put the heater on which was inset into the wall, no grill but heated the room well. There was a small window at the back of the room which had curtain hooks/rail but no curtain, so let in a lot of light so I stuffed an oversized cushion into the frame to block the light. The main door does not fit squarely into the door frame so bit of draught, but the heater made up for that. Stayed for 5 nights but never saw anyone at reception, had to ask the cleaner for another toilet roll and tea/coffee which was readily given, but I think if you are staying for 5 days this should have been checked and promptly replenished without having to ask. They also only supply 4 tiny UHF milk - for 5 days?! Went and bought my own milk. The Hamilton Hotel across the road does really nice meals & very good service. Motel is across the road from Brisbane River, so nice & close to go for a walk. Eat Street is 30 minutes walk from motel.

We stayed overnight at the motel prior to embarking on a cruise. The room was comfortable, clean and met our requirements. It was also able to accommodate 3 people and was conveniently located near a supermarket, restaurants and the airport. The decor is very dated and the room could use a coat of paint but this did not affect our stay. A free shuttle bus to the cruise terminal is available and the room rate of $138 is great value. The staff were also very friendly & helpful particularly Ling who was more than happy to help with any issues.

Stayed at the Riverview Motel for 1 night arrived after hours, good communication with owners in regards to late checkin - close to the Brisbane Airport. They do have a courtesy bus which will take you to the cruise terminal or airport which is fantastic. We also had a cancelled flight so had to get last minute accommodation and just rang the motel as we had stayed there before all was easily arranged for us, this was much appreciated. About the room itself bed was very comfortable clean sheets and towels also microwave supplied in the room. It could certainly do with a facelift as it is a very old motel I found the lighting very poor and certainly the bathroom needs redoing, but overall for $130-$138 per night was reasonable and staff were very friendly. I would certainly recommend this Motel to anyone looking for a short stay near airport, brisbane city itself.

Comfortable bed - clean bathroom . Lethal aircon that hasn’t been cleaned by the look of it since install a few years ago . Wiring is third world standard with leads all over the place in our room . No towels supplied we arrived late after a long flight so as no one lives on site could sort . Having said that the shower was hot

Repeat visit and staying in January 2019 and still really good value, ideal for the racecourse or for a stopover from the airport. Free shuttle service to the airport included (but now now from the airport) and a very well stocked room even with a toaster! A real effort has gone into making the rooms homely with pictures and more cushions than you can imagine.
Soft beds and a little maintenance now needed which is the reason I can’t get this one over the line to excellent.
Shops and restaurants just five minutes walk away.

We just came from the Riverview Motel today after spending the night in room 6 (supposedly one of their better rooms). I do not understand where all these good reviews are coming from? In realtor language it's quaint what is another word for old, stuffy and moldy. This includes the mattress in which the springs can be felt and heard with every move. Then you give it your best shot to get a good nights rest after deciding not to take a shower in the very small, old and moldy shower with aa curtain I didn't want to touch. Before 7am it sounding like a chainsaw was being used right outside our non noise isolating window. I went to see what it was and it were 2 gardeners using petrol powered hedge trimmers on the hedges of the motels parking lot. I asked if they were employed by the city or the motel and.it was the latter. Who in their right mind running a motel lets powertools be used right outside the rooms at 7am? Nobody at the reception (probably couldn't stand the noise) so when we directly decided to leave this 'motel' I also rang up the receptionist on the number posted on the door but she couldn't really be bothered, especially when I mentioned not being satisfied paying what I paid for. No refunds was the short answer. Invest some time and look for a different accomodation. Btw, the restaurant Gusto di Giani at the Portside Wharf was brilliant. Strange enough when I asked about restaurants along the waterfront while checking in the receptionist said there were none and the best bet was the restaurant across the road at Hotel Hamilton. Kickbacks for customers going there? Thank God I checked googlemaps before heading out. 5 minute walk and there are several waterfront restaurants.

Great position near the Brisbane river and the Rivercat. The motel is close to a great selection of cafes, restaurants and hotels. They have a free airport shuttle. The owner was very obliging, it’s a budget hotel so the cost was low

Great family fun motel, clean and comfortable, close to airport, local shops, restaurants and river ferry for a scenic trip to Brisbane CBD. Lovely hosts who go above and beyond to offer great hospitality, including a free shuttle to the airport or cruise terminal. Will stay again.

This motel is old style. Could do with a little work, but this shouldn't put you off. Close to everything. Close to the ferries, which makes life really relaxing if you don't want to drive in the city. Manager was lovely & helpful. Very friendly. The Hamilton Pub is just over the road for good food, and the suburb of Hamilton has plenty of cafes.

We were visiting family & friends and we were returning to Melbourne but our flight was leaving really early hence we did not want to disturb anyone by having to get up so early so we made the decision to stay in a hotel overnight. As we were just going to sleep for 1 night we did not feel we needed to spend a lot of money so we thought this was very reasonable. Our expectations weren’t high due to the price although I am very fussy. Reviews suggested room was very clean so that sufficed. Also they offer free shuttle to the airport. WELL... it was fantastic. Room / bathroom spotless. Comfortable bed, nice linen, pillows. Tv, wifi, coffee facilities, toaster etc. all very nicely done. Could not fault it. Family run & from check in to drive to airport , so effortless & so friendly. We travel often & this is the best value I have ever had and the LOCATION is amazing. Ferry to the city, Woolworths, all the cafes & restaurants at your finger tips. Gorgeous village. Can’t fault Riverview Motel.

There are 2 hotel in Brisbane with very similar names, The "Riverview Hotel" in the street behind the Hamilton Hotel is run by a lovely woman, it is spotlessly clean and a great place to stay. When I was researching the "other place" was rather expensive.
There are more places to choose from in the Brisbane area.
