Our party of 10 arrived to find that we had messed up our booking and we were expected in about 48 hours! Thanks to the amazing Samson and his team, we were accommodated at short notice for a special birthday lunch. Fabulous venue. Delicious food!

We were here the other night for our upcoming wedding. The building and atmosphere of the place is great. The food was even better. Make me feel reassured we had picked the right place when choosing a wedding venue. Staff were very attentive and accommodating.

If you are an architecture nerd and you have an opportunity for a meal in the Members’ Dining Room, you must go there! Total art deco heaven in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD. An old-school menu, with wonderful, professional, traditional service.

I have stayed here a few times and would highly recommend if needing to be in Brisbane CBD. I’m not a member but the club is truly welcoming. The self-parking in Queen’s Plaza is convenient and inexpensive for city parking with a validated ticket. The food at Tattersall’s is always wonderful, and for those not wanting to head to the dining room, room service is available. There is a dress code but it is clearly stated on the website and is certainly not onerous - for most meals business attire is suitable. The beds are large and very, very comfortable and the rooms are spacious and well lit. It is a lovely place to stay.

I wanted somewhere in the BNE CBD to stay and celebrate an anniversary and chanced on this gem right on the cnr of Edward and Queen St. Loved it. Some notes:
Dress code applies in restaurant for breakfast and dinner.
Queen st plaza parking stay in right hand Edward st look for Secure parking sign to underground parking, and validate ticket at reception for $13 overnight but out before 10am stay
The website is not very good. At all. Patience is needed.
We parked in the queen st plaza parking which is only labelled as Secure. Not very helpful! We went around the block several times and finally by going up Queen and turning L and across on Edward immediately into right hand lane and down the ramp. The parking ticket can be validated at reception for a $13 overnight out before 10am which is a BARGAIN for Brisb. The club is about a 150 m walk past Louis Vit and the start of the plaza.
Check in easy and the credit card covered all incidentals and meals.
Dinner was great. I had snapper just great and partner duck breast lovely and a serve of steamed green veg asparagus Chinese broccoli b sprouts etc. simple and good and crunch n steaming hot. Bottle of cab merlot all came to about $ 100 which is great for fine dining in superb surroundings.
Breakfast was included for cold selection from menu plus toast pastries juices etc.
Room huge with spa. Tried that for an hour or so before bed and was great. Room looked right over queen and Edward with floor to ceiling windows.
Dress code applies even at breakfast so you need tailored slacks shoes etc. No jeans or runners. Ladies business casual. I liked that formality.
Staff were all really great.
I would like to go again and also try the gym and pool.
Highly recommended. Spoil yourself like we did.

If you’re shopping, visiting theatres or museums then this is a great location. Opposite Queen Street Plaza and in the hub of all the shopping you’ll ever need. Rooms are large, as are bathrooms. There’s a walk in wardrobe with safe. Plenty of space for suitcases which are out of the way. Kettle and breakfast drinks in room as well as fresh milk in the fridge. My only issue is that there really weren’t enough plug sockets. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Gym is very well equipped and staff are friendly and helpful.

We walk passed Tattersalls Club over the last sixteen years and never walk into this heritage-listed clubhouse before. We were invited to a wedding reception and loved this location.
They provide accommodation and situated right in the city centre. I great for shopping, visiting theatres and museum.
The wedding reception was held at the Member's Bar and loved the unique experience to dine in here. My wife and I got to taste both otheralternate serves:
Entree - Calamari dusted in sweet smoked paprika (Good) - Hot smoked Tasmanian salmon (Good) Main - Off the bone lamb shank (Average) - Eye fillet steak (Average) Kid - Roast Chicken breast (Average) - Ice Cream (Good)
The service was slow maybe due to the wedding dinner.

Tattersalls Club has been a Brisbane icon for as long as I can remember. Known for its Members Art Deco dining room, the Long Bar and the private dining spaces. Is appears that it’s Iconic reputation is now its biggest Achilles heel!
It is hamstrung by a membership who mostly want to stay connected to its historic path and is now clearly surpassed by Brisbane’s burgeoning restaurant dining scene that has come of age in the last decade. Poor old Tattersalls can’t change enough to stay relevant and perhaps isn’t unique enough to stay iconic.
An enormous challenge ahead for a once majestic Club! I wish you well.
