Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was our third and longest visit of nine nights. We had room 8 overlooking the pool and getting beautiful morning sun. The room was very clean and well appointed with bar fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave and basic cutlery and crockery. Parking at the rear door. Comfy king size bed with quality linen and microfibre blankets which seemed new and very cosy. Quality towels, face washers and bath mat in the bathroom, could have done with hand towels. Great shower with temp regulator. Very safe for children. Large TV mounted on the wall. Only free to air channels available. Friendly helpful staff. No power points at the bed head but staff happily provided extension cord for my CPAP machine. A great visit, beautifully maintained grounds. Slight traffic noise from freeway but that has never bothered us. We’ll be back. Thanks Bo and team.

Room Tip: Tricky service road access, parallel to Ipswich Motorway but once you find it it’s easy 😉 Best...

The king size bed was perfect and we appreciated having two pillows each. We'd just arrived back in Brisbane after a long flight and really needed a good night's sleep, which is exactly what we got. The shower was outstanding and I loved the illuminated mirror. Couldn't get the pay TV to work, but we were so tired that we didn't really care. Despite being close to the highway the room was very quiet. We would definitely stay again.

Conveniently located next to the motorway, but minimal noise apparent from it. My heart sank when I drove in, but the staff were helpful enough. Drove to one of the back rooms and parked undercover in front of the unit. It felt a bit like I was in downtown Los Angeles. However the room although minimalist was clean and tidy, the bed more comfortable than many I have had in international standard hotels, and the obviously new bathroom had an excellent shower. TV didn't work.

Enjoyable stay! Older establishment but owners are working hard with updating. Very clean, quiet no noise from motorway and staff are always helpful and friendly. My only small criticism would be not close to any public transport or Cafe’s/Take Away. I enjoyed my time at the Oxley Motor Inn!

If you can overlook the area, and the minor repairs needed in the room you would be happy to stay. As first time visitors to this area for work decided to give it a go. Staff are pleasant and accommodating, nothing is too much trouble. My room (6) was clean and bathroom OK but could do with a vanity to put your stuff. Ignore the fact that the door knob comes off in your hand and the A/C is very noisy it's an OK place to stay. They do have a restaurant but only very small and somewhat lacking in ambience. Walk 5 minutes to the Oxley Hotel for a great meal instead.

We booked the family room for a one night stop over. I can honestly say I stayed in better backpacking hostels when I was younger. When we arrived, there was a group of men drinking next door and I was genuinely worried about leaving our hire car in the car park. The door to our suite opened out into a small, windowless living area, with a decrepit 80's style picture and rug. The walls were stained and cracked. The 'safety' latch on the door was attached the wrong way around, so it was utterly useless. The stove in the kitchen was missing the knobs, so it was unusable. The bedroom was tiny and had two sets of bunk beds and a double bed crammed into it. One of the bunkbeds covered a cupboard and the window. The bunkbeds themselves were metal and the white paint was peeling off all over them. The view from the window was of an unkempt garden and rundown sheds. The double bed was soft and uncomfortable. The bathroom was actually ok and the whole place was clean. The cleaners were also nice and friendly. This place desperately needs a revamp and is overpriced for what it is.

Reasonably price accomodation just outside the city. Recommend requesting a room at the back to avoid motor way noise. Staff were friendly, bed made and fresh towels daily. Room was reasonable quality, clean and tidy. Would stay again.

On the highway but quiet enough, and the staff were nice. BUT won't stay again. Our first room was an electrical nightmare with cords in a powerboard that didn't even have a surge switch or testing tag. And the lightswitch above the bed randomly sparked. The manager happily changed our room. Again looked clean but that is where it stopped. With the tv remote needing you to hold in the batteries in, the slide bolt on the door to lock the room wasn't attached properly, you couldn't open the door from outside, the promised hairdryer was missing. The water jug could use a week in bleach. The cleaner needs to open the drawers and take a look. Surface cleaning is the focus obviously. You could smell the cleaning fluid used. If you are just sleeping in there, go for it. Cheap at $130 for three of us. Don't really want to say rooms are poor but they are certainly below average.

Stayed here for 3 nights after booking it online. Very awkward to get to the hotel - lots of driving around in circles as it is just off the M7 and hard to get to. Room was right at back of property. We arrived late at night and honestly it just felt like your life was in danger from the look and feel of the place. Room was super tiny but our bed was very comfortable. Room overall was reasonably clean for an old room. Bathroom was renovated in some places and yet they leave mouldy gross looking tiles in the shower place. Had staff banging on door and then starting to let them selves in around 9am after us having had a very late night. No do not disturb signs available to hang. On arrival on 2 bath towels to cater for 3 guests and kitchenette had 1 bowl and 1 spoon but 3 of all other items. Cracked and unusable coffee mug. Little things like this just say that they don't really care. I did enjoy relaxing by the pool in the gardens with my family - not the best pool ever but it was clean. Not the worst place I have stayed but I wouldn't choose to go back.
