Taylor and the others at reception, the housekeeping and kitchen staff have all been very accommodating to our requests and respectful of our needs. Aircon was good. Pool was clean. Phone reception is patchy at best, probably due to the airport nearby and hotel WiFi wasn't much better, dropping out every now and then, though it was free.

As a general rule I try to avoid overnight stays when transiting however with family members in Brisbane it was decided a single night stop would allow us to catch up following our recent cruise on Royal Caribbean. Brisbanes ICT (International cruise terminal) is located on the east (Ocean) side of the airport so it was decided that a stay at a local airport hotel would be the best option, giving us transport access and a quick getaway the following morning.
The Novotel did not disappoint. Located next to a major shopping outlet the location was close to the ICT and BNE terminals with direct access to both a shopping mall and factory outlet for those who wanted a bit of retail therapy.
As is always the case the Novotel the rooms were well appointed and clean, and with a status upgrade given at reception, we enjoyed a larger room layout to accomodate three pax.
Room service is available on site however the shopping mall within 5 mins walk offered an amazing array of open air restaurants. Breakfast buffet was up to the usual high Accor standard (however wasn’t needed after eating too much on our recent cruise)
For those travelling out on a cruise the hotel gives you the option of preloading drinks and snacks (Which can be expensive once you board the boat) Travellers have direct access to a Woolworths giving them the ability to preload drink bottles ect before their cruise departure.
The only knock I would have on the facility is the lack of a free transport option to and from the hotel. Most airport hotels I recommend to my clients world wide have free shuttle options that run frequently. At $8.00 per pax for a short run we were advised by staff that Uber was a better option, making the in house transport almost redundant. This is something I would like to see improved as beside the Pullman which is onsite at airport the Novotel is the other hotel I would recommend to my corporate client base.
All in all an amazing stay and would highly recommend.
** Please be aware airlines often use the Pullman and Novotel to service delayed flights making last minute bookings more difficult. If planning a trip book early to ensure access.

Response from General Manager, General Manager at Novotel Brisbane Airport
Responded 19 Nov 2023
Dear TravelbizzAU, Thank you for your wonderful review of the Novotel Brisbane Airport. Our location is absolutely ideal for those taking a cruise at the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal. Our location next to the DFO shopping outlet and Golf Central makes us the ideal choice for our leisure guests. It is a pleasure to read that your room was clean and comfortable, as to be expected, for your stay. I am sorry of the challenges experienced with transport from the hotel to and from the airport terminals. We greatly appreciate your feedback and will ensure to continue to look into ways to develop our transport options. Thank you again for taking the time to review our hotel and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you and your clients in the future. Kind regards, Andy Nie General Manager

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
It was a bit annoying to queue for a cab for the Novotel Airport Hotel - it’s not walking distance , and the shuttle stops early and a waste of time for the cab driver . However reception was exceptionally helpful, room spotless, and dinner in the Catalina restaurant was very good - and wait staff very friendly and helpful. Good food - a great surprise! Thank you Novotel.

No one tells you about the 25 dollar parking fee when you book on arrival no tells how to operate the lift or what to do with the card once in the room. Don't dare move the furniture you might find broken glass and about a months worth of dust. Don't get the chicken burger it's chicken thigh and only half cooked the 250gram steak is colder than what they call a salad 12 pieces of lettuce and one sloppy cherry tomato but the bar staff are great and so was Reece won't ever stay here again thanks for spoiling our holiday

Free Bus ( Skygate ) from the Airport terminal to DFO.
From there its a 3 minute walk over the street to the Novotel.
Checkin was slow and they didn't tell us the Password for Wifi, so we had to go back, but I must mention Staff was very friendly.
Beds were huge and comfortable. Towels were fluffy, white and big.
Room had a good size, was light and had a big window.
We called a day before to make sure we dont have any bathtub, the girl mentioned to us we will have a shower. Unfortunately she lied and we had a bathtub. For mature people not the Best.
Hair shampoo/ conditioner and shower gel are provided, unfortunately no body lotion.
The toilet seat was off centre.
Tea and coffee facilities are in the room but Milk was missing.
I think its a bit pricy for what they offer.
Location is great. DFO is open from 10am to 6 pm and also has a food court and Cafe outside.

Stayed for one night. The dinner was vile.
When booking I made sure to ask about the pool. Upon check in the pool was out of order and being renovated nothing was on their website about it until that afternoon. I could use the sofitel hotel which cost ME $44 return in a taxi utter crap and then the breakfast the chef can't make an omelette or even fry an egg. Should be an ibis its reached that level and because its so close to the airport the staff know your not staying an treat it that way. But at least they hire older staff our restaurant watress was mid 40's and had lost the will to live as had all the other staff.

Excellent service from the reception, Elbony was so friendly and helpful. We got an upgrade offer and a pre-paid breakfast. That was 10$ cheaper per person for breakfast, please ask them for it. And the breakfast was also excellent, Elise was attentive and looking after us.

Brilliant hotel, always a big tick for me if scrumptiously clean✅
Comfy beds and pillows. Great proximity, a stones through from the outlet stores… inclusive of a Woolies and Dan Murphy’s. Beautiful, manicured gardens.
The buffet breakfast was delightful, great value… if booked it is $25… be sure to book otherwise $35 walk in.
Thankyou Renee for outstanding omelets, Suzie and Linda for great service and friendliness.

Novotel Brisbane Airport is a convenient stay close to the airport. The taxi ride is approximately $25 or there is a shuttle that operates at specific times.
A great buffet breakfast was included in our accomodation price. Otherwise, a 24 hour Woolworths supermarket is located metres from the hotel.
The hotel room is small but clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. I'm not sure if all the rooms are the same, however the frosted glass in our shower backed onto the wall next to the bed and was visible, this is not ideal if you're sharing a room with someone other than your partner!

Terrible. Aircon didn’t do anything, so we all had a miserable hot nights sleep, shower let out a screeching sound when turned on and one of the bathroom lights flickered constantly. “Airport” hotel that is 4km from the airport and you have to pay for the privilege of using their shuttle (which books out quickly). Can’t see any planes as you are so far from the airport but they sure sound like they are about to come through the roof as they take off, some sound proofing would be nice (have stayed in proper airport hotels before and barely noticed the airport noise). Restaurant food was bland and dry. Only redeeming feature was the mall next door. Never again.

Yes ours did in Oct 2024
As the travellers above have said, about the $30 ish Mark. Again ours was included in the room rate.
A tip for you.
Order a barista coffee as you enter the breakfast restaurant, much nicer than the filter stuff brewing away at the counter.
Hi Michiko69,
There is secure undercover parking available at the hotel for AUD$25 per night.
I'm not sure, sorry. It was an overnight stay with only me there
