Hotel's Favourite
Great hotel in great location. We got this hotel at a time when the prices were a bit cheaper than normal on a weekend. It’s a great hotel as a bit unique, nice design. Location is excellent, near the wharves but also walkable to everywhere - the city, fortitude valley and all around. We got the nature wall room which is cheaper option. It’s a nice design and nice room with privacy. It’s not a room full of sun, it’s dark as facing nature wall but fine if not spending all day in the room. The rooftop bar was booked out when we tried to go but plenty of other options around. Checkout at 11 is handy. Bed was very comfortable, temperature control good. Everything was great and would stay again if reasonably priced. The location is best area to stay in Brisbane as easy to get to most places.

I spent one night at this hotel and was impressed by the friendly check-in staff, the stylish art theme evident everywhere, and by the comfortable bed and well-appointed room and bathroom.
The hotel itself is in a very good location right on the river in the hip Howard Smith Wharves precinct. If you like a morning walk or jog this is the perfect location for you, and there are eateries and bars aplenty very close by.
On the downside, the room was a bit noisy due to it being right under the busy Story Bridge, so the sound of overhead traffic is ever-present, though muffled. Additionally I was charged for a juice at breakfast, even though I had bought an inclusive breakfast deal, so this seemed a bit odd and mean. So beware of unexpected little charges on your bill!
Overall, though, this is a clean, friendly, stylish hotel in a great location.

I have stayed a total of three times in different rooms on all occasions, and seriously this hotel, it's facilities, service and staff as well as location does not disappoint. My recent stay was for a birthday milestone and we booked a balcony room for the weekend which was located on the 3rd floor, overlooking Howard Smith Wharves, Brisbane CBD and the major icon Story Bridge. The views both during the day and night are spectacular, the room was very spacious, clean with all amenities, mini kitchenette, bath and shower, with a spacious lounge and dinning area with a fantastic outdoor setting to allow for entertaining small groups of guests that visited during your stay.
The staff are very helpful and go to the next level to ensure that you have an comfortable and enjoyable stay.
This is by far the best hotel in Brisbane and I will definable be recommending this hotel to all my family, friends and travel network that visit in future.
Thank you to all the staff at Fantauzzo for an amazing birthday weekend filled with many beautiful memories to cherish.

I loved the Fantauzzo Brisbane. The position is amazing. Its on Howard Smith Wharves on the Brisbane River. The Hotel is situated right under the Story Bridge and I was wondering if you would hear noise from the traffic on the bridge. Not so. I slept like a rock. I booked the Hotel as it was a new funky place in Brisbane to stay and I was up from the coast for my girlfriends birthday. We were going to a show around on Southbank so it was so easy to jump on the free city ferry and jump off at Southbank. The hotel has amazing art throughout by Vincent Fantauzzo, a great rooftop bar and an infinity pool that you sit in and watch the world go by on the Brisbane River. At night it is incredible with the lights on the Bridge and the old paddle steamer boats and ferries with their lights going up and down the river. The rooms are incredible, very modern and moody. When i booked i told them it was for my girlfriends Birthday and in the room they had a bottle of wine balloons and hand made chocolates and a voucher for a free drink at the rooftop bar. The beds are so comfy and the pillows, there's even a sign that says" jump on the bed - we know you want to", So I did and it was a ball of fun. Our room was a river front with incredible views. I loved it so much I took my Hubby back for his birthday and it didn't disappoint he also got a bottle of wine. We stay in a back room on the cliff face and it was also beautiful, quiet and I didn't miss the views either. The restaurant in the foyer provides the yummiest healthiest brekkies and also when i first booked i joined the Mantra club( for free) which gives you a late checkout and free wifi. all in all an awesome hotel and I would highly recommend

Stayed for a night after finishing up a week on Straddie with friends. It is in a great location, walking distance to Fortitude Valley and New Farm for dinner, shopping and movies, or Riverside and Eagle Street Pier for the Citycat or Cityhopper ferries. Howard Smith Wharves is a buzzing precinct with lots of dining options.
The cliff facing room was large with a terrific glass wall in the bathroom facing the rock. A beautifully designed hotel with art everywhere. All staff were friendly, and every member of housekeeping I encountered greeted me with a smile. Enjoyed breakfast at Polpetta.

This is a party hotel, designed for people who don't want or need sleep apparently.
We stayed here over the weekend as we considered booking for our wedding party and guest accommodation next year, and we wanted to have a test run to see what it was like. We are so glad we did..because we will never return and will advise our guests not to stay here.
Firstly, for a five star hotel, basic conveniences were severely lacking and housekeeping was poor. There is no room service or mini bar available "because covid". How is having two sanitised bottles of water in the fridge any different to me having to call up and ask for bottled water to be hand delivered in the middle of the night? For a hotel surrounded by bars and people drinking, water is kind of helpful to rehydrate. We received one towel per person - you know most women use two towels when they wash their hair right? This is a basic thing that I shouldn't even need to think about, or yet again, make another phone request for. Most hotels supply four towels for a couple.
Given covid is being used as an excuse for above issues, you'd think they would have been on top of cleaning. Our floor had a large sticky mess all over it, which we unfortunately had the displeasure of walking through. Obviously the floor had not been mopped, looked like melted ice cream had been spilt (refer photo).
Secondly, poor design and noise. I would rate the relaxation of this stay as equivalent to a night in hospital. Constant noise and interruption while trying to sleep. They play music in the corridors, probably to pump people up to go out to the nearby bars, but it was still going at midnight. I again had to call and ask when it was being turned off. I told reception on check out and they fobbed it off and said no one else had ever complained. Possibly because everyone else is drunk enough to sleep through it? Regardless, turn it off at like 10, no one should have to ask for such things to be sorted.
The doors don't have soft closure hinges, so just when you've been able to fall asleep after the corridor music gets turned off, everyone who's been out partying starts arriving back, yelling and talking loud, and slamming door after door around 2am. There is no soundproofing, we could hear the people above us stomping around in their high heels. So then you get about 3-4 hours sleep when people start slamming doors again as they leave. I wish we would have stayed home.
The lighting is also absolutely awful. Moody and dark, so if you're trying to apply makeup you literally can't tell what colour you are or how much you've put on.
The bed was however incredibly comfortable, and self parking is $35 for 24hr. However, upon checkout the receptionist never confirmed charges for the room..so we have no idea how much we were actually charged, but we just wanted to get out of there.

Dear brisbaneg2020, I am very sorry to read about your experience at The Fantauzzo. Due to the private nature of Tripadvisor I don’t have your contact details. I would welcome you to contact me directly as I would like the opportunity to speak to you in person. We certainly did not deliver on your expectations and I’m especially alarmed about the cleaning issues mentioned and would like to know more about it. I can assure you we have strict cleaning protocols in place but it seems we have dropped the ball on this occasion. You are also correct we don’t offer room service and that the minibars have been removed throughout the property. I’m working on reinstating these services and I apologise for the inconvenience of not having these services available. Finally, I’m disappointed to read about the noise you experienced throughout your stay from other guests, doors and music. I understand this must have been very disrupting and I apologise you had to experience this. Please don’t hesitate to reach out and I hope we get an opportunity to better serve you in the future. Loved the room, loved the location and housekeeping couldn't be better. We had a four night stay in a generously sized twin promenade room. On level two, the room looked out on the bottom of the Storey Bridge and was perfect for my mother and I. The two different sleeping areas had a great bathroom between them and a door made the areas feel private. All room inclusions felt luxurious and I particularly liked the crystal glasses and fabulous bath. The double glazing kept out all the potential bridge noise and most pedestrian noise. However, I imagine if absolute silence is a priority, finding out what are the quietest rooms might be helpful. We both swum in the pool each day. Smallish swim area, incredible views both day and night. Most impressive was the housekeeping, everything was beautifully refreshed. Each staff member we dealt with was friendly and professional. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to family and friends.

First the staff couldn't find my reservation then on check in we are advised that no room service is available and no mini bar unless individually requested due to covid yet still charging full price for accommodation. They don't even have water bottles available in the room due to covid just in case you touch things yet you have bottles of milk? Your requested mini bar items are hand delivered by staff which is the same concept as room service and don't expect to get chilled water its room temperature probably because of covid too. This hotel is basically cutting costs and hiding behind covid yet the foyer was packed shoulder to shoulder on check in with no social distancing. Every other hotel we have stayed at seems to be able to function just fine except this one. The reception staff were rude and sarcastic the only place to have breakfast is 50 people minimum but open to the public so they were turning hotel guests away but not offering room service. We had 3 other couples with us and they were all equally disgusted with the service even random hotel guests in the lift expressed their disgust. This hotel is an absolute joke.

What a fantastic stay, we booked over the Easter period with our two young girls in a family room. The room was long with two bedrooms and bathroom In between, everything in the room was so well though of even down to storage, the beds were so comfy, large pillows and crisp linen, the room was super dark when curtains were drawn & between both bedrooms there was a internal sliding door to create a noise barrier and have privacy.
The bathroom was also very spacious with a beautiful freestanding bath next to a large glass wall with view of that stunning bridge. We were lucky enough to be looking over the beautiful bridge and was even more lovely at night when it was all lit with beautiful coloured lights.
The staff were exceptional seriously I could give them a 20/10 they were so attentive and nothing was a worry.
Big bonus were the free bike hire, the resort offers lovely beach cruises that we used both days exploring all of brisbane had to offer with so many paths along the river it was so easy to take off and enjoy a nice day, we have stayed at a lot of hotels in brisbane and this really makes the crystalbrooke stand out.
Parking was below the hotel and like most in brisbane it was $35 the hotel called us prior and gave us a code to gain access.
Pool Deck mmm well this was a little deceiving we had the impression is was much bigger until we were there in person,
It would be interesting to know how it goes on busy hot days. The pool it’s self was absolutely stunning and extremely photogenic, although it was absolutely freezing and isn’t heated.
The location of the hotel was in such an awesome pocket of brisbane
Family friendly little parks and play space for family’s
And night life that closes at 3am
So many places to eat from casual to à la cart.
It really has the best of both worlds.
If you go with kids I noticed a lot of family’s pack scooters for their kids and it made sense.
All in all we had a fabulous time and would book again.

Dear Emily, This review is nothing less than spectacular, we very much appreciate the thoughtful attention that you have devoted to curate such a glowing review. It has been a pleasure to accommodate yourself and your family over the Easter festive period and I am very pleased that the room design and layout in totality took your fancy. Your feedback regarding the attentiveness of the staff will be passed on to the appropriate teams to serve as a source of motivation as we pride ourselves on this exceptional service that you have experienced. The complimentary bike hire is agreeably a standout feature that is offered, and it is splendid to hear that your family sustainably made the most of exploring the city by wheels. We look towards having you stay for another Brisbane staycation when you next decide, until then stay BOLD and brave! All the best, Madison | Assistant Manager

Just stayed here for 6 nights and was accommodated on the third floor which has the pool and outdoor restaurant and bar accessible to the public, this floor was very noisey during the evenings up until 11pm as the people attending the bar and restaurant had to exit via the room corridor and they were frequently loud, sadly because the outside could come inside the temperature in the corridor was also very hot and humid.
The location , amenties and the rooms were high quality and the staff were nice but when I did raise the issue of noise with them there was no real empathy or compensation for discomfort which you would expect for a 5 Star Hotel.
It is perfectly central to everything though and I'd still recommend it to friends.

On-site car parking is $35 per 24 hour period for self-parking, or $45 per 24 hour period for valet parking. We utilise the Secure carpark located underneath the hotel. For both options please proceed to the front of the hotel and see our reception team - self-parking requires a PIN-code to access the carpark prior to entry.
