We stayed at the Westin for 1 night with 4 kids in an interconnecting room. The rooms are modern, super clean and stylish with small details that give that bit extra such as lavender oil roll ons next to the bed and magazines to read. Beds were super comfy and the rooms quiet. Room service was priced ok but quality of food quite poor, definately opt for the restaurant instead (or somewhere else). We stayed for breakfast which had a lot of choice for a hotel and some healthy options too which was nice. The whole process was relatively easy and it seems the hotel is in a great, central location.

Dear 51leannec, Thanks for taking the time to provide feedback following your recent stay although I was disappointed to note the poor standard of food quality you encountered. Your feedback has been addressed with our Executive Chef to ensure improvements follow. On a brighter note, I hope you and the kids enjoyed your stay and we look forward to having the opportunity to welcome you back on another occasion. Kind regards, Brad Mercer General Manager

Firstly, the Westin Brisbane is excellent. Excellent service from all the teams and you really can't fault the location for central CBD.

The only note I would share as more of a "Caveat emptor " is that you should try and avoid the suites/ rooms near the elevators. We had a suite with a fold out couch next to the elevator and the sofa bed backed right into the lift well so you can literally hear every lift going up and down all night. Not ideal for anyone that is a light sleeper or with kids that are light sleepers.

Also, the fold out sofa bed is (obviously) a standard fold out sofa bed! so the comfort level is not on the same plush level of the Westins king beds.

The club lounge is great, just a note that light pre dinner food is avail from 1700 - 1900 but there is a no kids policy after 1800 in the lounge. The staff in the club lounge were fantastic and went above and beyond.

We would definitely recommend the Westin but would ask for another suite next time.

We arrived at the Westin on Christmas Day 2019 and stayed for two nights under a good promotion run by the hotel.

As a Marriott Platinum member, we were upgraded to a top level Club River View room, with an additional rollaway bed for my daughter. The room was average sized and had a slight view of the Brisbane River from far away, obstructed by tall buildings next to the Hotel. Due to better availability, we were upgraded to a Westin King Suite on the second night, which was nearly double the size of the previous room, with a rollout sofa bed for my daughter, and very comfortable.

We had breakfast and snacks in the Club Lounge and also complimentary food at the Nautilus Pool Bar (ordered and delivered) under the promotion. Unfortunately, the swim up pool bar was only open on weekends so we didn't get a chance to enjoy it.

The location of the Hotel is great, within a short distance to the shopping malls and the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens.

To be honest, the rooms at this hotel were not that outstanding. However, the services we received were really superb and made up for this 5-star review. Special thanks to Sarah (Complex Room Controller) for assisting us with the reservation, Johnny and Azam for a warm check in process upon our arrival, Emma for being so friendly and accommodating at the Club Lounge, and Katie (front office manager) for checking us out and promptly correcting a billing issue.

It's been 6 months since our stay and I really don't remember the room quality of our stay anymore. But I still clearly remember the excellent staff that we had met during our stay and this is really the highlight of the Westin Brisbane.

I hope everyone is keeping well!

Sijia

The rooms are really nice. No doubt about that, but when the hotel lost a shirt of mine they made absolutely no effort to remedy the situation other than put a note in “the system” and hope it came back. Then when it didn’t it was just a case of “sorry” and that was that. The hotel should take some form of liability for failing to look after a personal item through a service they offer. When I asked what the process of liability was they said there isn’t one and they were just hopeful it would come back. That’s not good enough for a hotel of this star rating. Unacceptable in my books.

I stayed for 1 night at this MEL property. The hotel is relatively new, so it has a fresh feel to it. The rooms are a good size, with all the modern touches you would expect; USB ports, complimentary water bottles, Nespresso machine, fast internet, quality beds, nice bathrooms with included amenities.

I used the gym, and whilst it was small, there was a great view of the pool from the running machines. There was more complimentary water bottles in the gym.

Staff were pleasant. The only issue I had, oddly, were that the bedsheets made my legs itch like mad. After a while I kicked off the sheets and just lay under the duvet, which seemed to do the trick. Otherwise, the bed was comfortable and I had a good sleep.

I’d stay here again.

We stayed in Room 1603 which is on the highest floor and gives access to the Executive Lounge. However, as there are several high-rise buildings adjacent to this property, there isn't much of a view, so I would not recommend paying extra for a higher floor room.

As other reviewers have stated, the rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean, which is to be expected from a fairly new hotel.

Valet parking which we availed of was $55 per day.

Food and beverage offerings at the Executive Lounge were very modest - certainly not comparable to what you might expect at a Qantas Club Lounge which has a wider range of hot food and beveredge offerings. Therefore, I would not recommend taking this option for a higher room rate.

Fortunately for us, due to ongoing staff shortages at the hotel due to Covid-19, they upgraded us to a full buffet breakfast each day in their main restaurant on the first floor. The food there was excellent and the coffee was exceptional (I had three cups each day for breakfast!)

The location of this hotel is also excellent, within close proximity to the shopping district and not far from the City Botanical Gardens (not to be confused with the Brisbane Botanical Gardens which are much further away).

Westin is a trusted brand and this is a safe choice for a CBD hotel, particularly as it is still quite new.

Highly recommended.

It was our first visit to Brisbane, so we picked a centrally located hotel. The Westin was in an ideal location but surrounded by other high rise hotels & apartments, which seems to be the norm for the CBD. This meant that views from our room where somewhat limited.
Check in was OK but as seems to be with all customer service there is none. No explanation of where breakfast was located and no information forthcoming about facilities for those staying at Level - only given when we asked.
Room was OK, large king bed and sufficient toilitries in the bathroom. However, servicing of rooms was lacking. Our room was not service until I asked for it to be done at 5pm and then when we returned a half finished toilet roll was on the bedside table, glasses & cups not washed and bed barely pulled up.
We did report this to the front desk the next day, requesting the room be serviced and different pillows delivered. Room was serviced but no pillows appeared until we contacted front desk again. Not sure whether this is all due to lack of staff or slack staff - no explanation given by front desk.
Breakfast, afternoon tea and drinks & snacks served on the 3rd floor at Level. Quite a good selection for breakfast but a useless toaster - just didn't toast! Good service from staff at Level.
Overall, for a new hotel, not up to the standard of other Westin hotels we have stayed in.

This is my third trip to the hotel and every time it gets better. The service is exceptional, from check in to check out. I stayed at room 1606 on the 24 March 2022 and the room was extremely nice with a balcony which you can see the Story Bridge from. At check in Tabitha was very helpful and although I was early for check in Tabitha made me feel very welcome while I waited for my room. Once my room was ready Rachel continue the great service and it was during this check in I was again made to feel like I had returned to a very welcoming ‘retreat’. Rachel’s general conversation and presentation of the room keys added a sense of comfort and also class. During the stay I visited the club lounge on many occasions and all staff where very helpful and friendly during my whole stay. I had the privilege of being served by Jordan many times and she was always professional and friendly. She has an ability to make you feel comfortable and nothing was any trouble. So basically all the staff were great!
Now to the pool which where I spent a lot of time also. The pool had a great bar and the bartender (from Peru) made fantastic cocktails and gave us some great places to eat when we visit the Gold Coast. The food is also exceptional and arrives quickly. I would advise paying extra for the club lounge or if your Bonvoy status gives you access to use it. The breakfast was great and a little oasis if the pool gets too much……We were also lucky to meet George who worked for the hotel and was also very friendly and professional. In passing George explained some of the business benefits. If you need to use the hotel for a work meeting or accommodation it is ideal as the location is great and I there is a room off the club lounge that would be ideal.
I will be returning back when I can…I didn’t want to leave.

Stayed at the Westin for a few days, the hotel is conveniently located steps away from the Botanic gardens and in the heart of the CBD. Enjoyed having access to the Club lounge, which serves Breakfast, Afternoon tea and evening drinks and snacks. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to all our needs. Will stay again.
