These apartments are in a fantastic location. A short walk to the free City Hopper Ferry and you're right in the city. The 3 bedroom apartment we stayed in was very spacious and the beds were fairly comfortable. This apartment unfortunately was quite rundown though and could do with a bit of a freshen up.

I will start with the good. Great location, front desk staff very friendly. The not so good. We have just come back from a two night stay, when we arrived we were given the wrong bedding configuration apartment which was no drama and dealt with no issues. However the apartment we moved into (3 bedroom ) 9th floor is very rundown. The skirting is coming off the walls, the walls are marked and dirty. The handle for opening the window is broken and just sitting on the window sil, the table in kitchen was dirty and really badly scratched. The kitchen cupboards and bench tops weren’t clean. There were dirty socks on the verandah. The couch outside was ripped and quite grotty with a few blankets thrown on it to hide the damage. The single beds were terrible and need replacing big dips in one of them. I don’t think the floor had been vacuumed properly, I moved bed and it was dirty. No batteries in aircon remote. I don’t know who cleans the apartments and does maintenance but they shouldn’t have a job. Certainly not worth $325 a night and not 4 star lucky to be 3 .

I needed a week of temporary accommodation in Kangaroo Point. Location and facilities, especially parking were excellent. The one bedroom flat I stayed in (42), had everything you needed. Building is very secure. Morning sunrises are magnificent although being on level 2 meant there weren’t really any views, which was disappointing considering that was one of the reasons I picked Story Apartments. Allen, the manager on Duty during my stay was super helpful. The pool area is lovely. However, I did find the bed, pillows and linen really uncomfortable and didn’t sleep well for my whole stay. The 2.5 seater lounge was also very uncomfortable. Outdoor furniture old and destroyed by sun, one of the two chairs you couldn’t even sit in. Probably would stay again, but not for a whole week.

From the moment we checked in we felt completely at home. The receptionist was ever helpful outlining all points of interest and supplying us with maps and information brochures on the area. The family loved the free Ferry service. Our apartment was spacious, clean and had a good sized balcony overlooking the Brisbane River. We could even see a cruise ship docked at the wharf. This was our first stay in Kangaroo Point and will definitely be back again. Based on our experience and apartment will definitely recommend Story Apartments to our friends.

My wife and I stayed here as we attended the Gabba for an ODI cricket match. We had a little trepidation after reading the previous negative reviews. However, we found our apartment to be very clean and comfortable, with all appliances, TV, Foxtel and stereo in perfect working order. And, contrary to what others have written, the staff were excellent. Even though we arrived early our place was ready and the staff only too willing to give us the keys. Also, they were very knowledgeable and helpful about transport into the city. The free City Hopper ferry is a 4-5 minute walk in lovely surrounds. The apartment has sweeping views over the river and east Brisbane. It is on a main road, but we did not hear a thing. All in all quite enjoyable. And, we would definitely stay again, next time in Brisbane
