First time to book at Hotel Chino and have definitely found my new favourite place to stay when visiting Brisbane. I booked a 1 bedroom Executive Apartment. Very friendly and accomodating reception, plenty of secure parking, apartment was very clean and quiet. I have run across bugs in several modern serviced apartments in Southbank, this one was bug free :) Nice to have a furnished patio and access to fresh air. Large workspace, washer/dryer and all the kitchen appliances were full size. Also, a tub for a soak and comfortable bed. Every staff member I passed in the hallway had a friendly greeting and smiling eyes (I’m sure there was a smile behind the mask). Female travelling alone felt safe and welcome.

I stayed Chino 3 night it was a great experience starting from the reception I just arrived early but street to my room withn 5 minutes without waiting longer . The room cleanses it blown me away it is over the top you get everything in the room coffee and tea basic kitchens stuff microwave and cable tv for your entertainment. The bathroom also great good water pressure hot and cold I get also a big veranda you can seat and relax the price very reasonable compared to other Brisbane hotel the only thing is I am not sure you can change you towel or not because my room it doesn’t include daily housekeeping I think they will not refuse me if I ask one. The location perfect public transport available different side of the hotel I am very happy my stay Chino definitely coming back again the near future.

This hotel was clean and had the basics for self catering and laundry.
Close to public transport, PA hospital and Greenslopes hospital, and Buranda shopping centre is a 5 min. walk.
The staff were very helpful and accommodating with our booking needs on a day by day basis.
Undercover safe parking provided at no extra charge.

The accommodation was reasonably priced initially, but I was made to add on a roll away to accommodate a child who could have slept on the fold out sofa bed in the lounge area (I realised it was a fold out after checking in). The apartment wasn't serviced during our stay, which I wasn't aware of at the time of booking. Kitchen items were dirty/dusty and needed dishwashing before use. The remote in the bedroom was sticky (!) and difficult to use because of how hard the buttons need to be pressed in. The tap in the kitchen dripped all night. The kids loved the pool, but the water was filthy. Overall a pretty disappointing experience.

Dear CanberraMum, We are sorry you didn't note the small charge for our fabulous king single roll-in beds in our details as we don't believe anyone has a good night's sleep in a foldout sofabed. At just $20/night for the extra person and bed we believe it is still exceptional value - especially when our packages are heavily discounted due to reduced servicing. Our guests appreciate the savings and the lack of intrusion. I'm sorry some kitchen utensils were dusty as we do try to ensure our cleanliness is of a high standard. I have already passed this comment onto our housekeeping team and apologize to you. We have looked at all our kitchen taps to locate a dripping one and we are trying all the TV remotes to find the culprit you spoke about. We would happily have exchanged the remote for you with just one phone call to reception during your stay. All salt water pools struggle to remain clear with our heavy Queensland downpours but we try to rectify the water clarity quickly so our guests can enjoy the pool. We are sorry we disappointed you as it is always our intention and desire to please our valued guests.

Small hotel with friendly and flexible staff. Close to PA Hospital and shops so a very convenient location. This trip was just before the COVID-19 lockdown was coming into force and the staff were doing their best to provide good service even though their pantry stock was limited. Great pepperoni pizza by the chef there.

The room was lovely, and the staff were very friendly and exceptionally helpful. I had some last minute changes that needed to be made to my booking, and they were extremely accomodatng and helpful. The room was very quiet, with no noise from the traffic outside or from the hallway or lifts. There were both sheer and light blocking drapes so the room was not bright first thing in the morning.
I also appreciated the secure parking.

Lovely small boutique hotel that was modern. We had a studio which was great for our needs. Had a lovely stay except for 1 night when the room next door decided to have a party & with their balcony doors open, it got very noisy. This was after hours and we put up with it for an hour or so but when the noise level got worse, we tried to call reception on the room phone but to no avail. We then decided to ring the hotel no & managed to get through & complained. Security came by maybe about 45mins later & the next room quietened down 20mins after.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience of your neighbour. Although we have security on call they may be a distance away when you call. Please call earlier as we are NOT a party hotel and we do not want our guests disturbed by parties. We want any noise closed down early. Thank you for enjoying everything else about Hotel Chino and writing for the Trip Advisor community.

The location is a 5 mins walk from the PA Hospital and perfectly located. It was surprisingly quiet, given the proximity to Ipswich Rd. The room layout was superb - separate bedroom with single bed in living area. Kitchen facilities were excellent with a full size fridge and very convenient to shopping centre. Great value given that parking at the hospital is horrendously expensive. Secure parking and friendly staff were a bonus. I recommend this hotel 100%!

I've stayed at Hotel Chino every other week or more for the last 15 months whilst working in Brisbane. Its a very clean and convenient place to stay. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, the rooms clean and the secure free underground carpark a real plus. I'm an essential worker and even during Covid lockdowns and the floods, they really looked after me. If you want to go in to the city, then its easy to cross the road to the bus station and be in South Bank or the CBD within minutes on the express bus ways. There's also nearby shopping centre with cafes and takeaways as well as Stones Corner pubs and eateries about 10 minutes walk. Good place to stay!

The location of this apartment hotel is good, near the hospital, bus lines, and a train station. The unit was spacious and had a full kitchen. What I didn't like is that the place is not nearly as nice as the photos. The units are kinda dark, dated, and feel like they've been there for some time. The pool/fitness room are not nice at all - don't trust the pictures. There was a slight problem in my room with one of the A/C's broken, though I was able to use the 2nd A/C unit to cool the whole space. I would consider staying here again because the prices are reasonable, but just understand you are not getting a property as nice as the photos make them seem. This is more a place to sleep at night, than someplace you would want to hang out during the day.

Hello Max, Thank you for your review. We agree with all your comments. Located at the cross roads to everywhere in Brisbane and between 3 major hospitals, we position our hotel to satisfy our corporate and hospital guests who are looking for a clean, comfortable, practical and friendly property at excellent value for money. Our photos were all taken on-site and some rooms naturally have more light than others due to the position of the sun. Our air conditioners have all been professionally serviced these past two weeks and they are all back to full capacity again. We routinely have this service conducted each year as we know the importance of air cons in Brisbane summer. We thank you for making do with the one unit for your stay and can assure you you'd have both units if you returned. we hope you do make Hotel Chino your Brisbane accommodation choice again.
