I'm so sorry I can't remember the name of the fellow who checked us in and out. The hotel was extremely caring of all guests following an unfortunate event that appeared to be no fault of the hotel. He was fabulous. All staff were fabulous for our entire 2 night stay.

We had a King Riverview room with amazing views and best position for the new years fireworks. The room was very clean and spacious. The bed was a bit hard for both of us and despite having a pillow menu, we were only able to get one feather pillow to replace the huge hard pillows in the room.

The pool area on the roof has wonderful views of the city. Pool side service was great. Thank you Francesca for taking care of us.

Breakfast was adequate. I felt there weren't enough fresh options but a lot of carb options. Still, that's maybe just me.

Very handy to South Bank parklands, supermarket next door, lots of eating places close by, train station close by. With all that is going on outside, we didn't hear any noises from the party crowd, lifts, anything. In our room we felt we were the only people in the hotel.

The lifts are quick but a bit challenging at first with video all around on the walls. I'm somewhat claustrophobic and so it took a little while to get used to a shark coming for me as I travelled to the 13th floor.

This is a non-smoking hotel with no areas set aside for smokers so you will need to go out on the street.

All in all a very welcoming and comfortable hotel, close to all that Brisbane has to offer, either locally, city ferries and public transport. Valet parking was $45 per night.

My wife and I have just stayed two nights at the Emporium South Bank. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a lovely river view, large bathroom with spa tub and separate rain shower. The infinity pool and Terrace Lounge on the 21st floor were great. My wife had a very nice spa treatment. The only negative we experienced was our room was not ready at check in time. We were, however. given four drink vouchers and our room was ready in about half an hour later. On the second day, after returning to the room a 2:00 pm, our room had not been serviced. A call to housekeeping solved the problem within about thirty minutes. The housekeeper only left one bath towel and only one cup and saucer was not provided. We did raise the issue with housekeeping but the omission was never corrected. Since the room had two large pool towels and my wife doesn't drink tea or coffee, we let it go.

All things considered, an enjoyable stay.

We had 3 nights at the Emporium, a much needed staycation. The hotel and service is absolutely first class. From the minute we checked in to when our car was brought to us on leaving we were made to feel valued, nothing was too much trouble.

We stayed in a river king suite with a fabulous view, yet it was quiet. The room was very comfortable and beautifully designed, Attention to detail is very evident. Minibar was well stocked with high quality products and in-room dining service the best I've had - punctual service, hot food, beautifully presented, Breakfast in the Signature restaurant was also lovely.

The light switching took some getting used to - we awoke to find some lights on despite having turned everything off but think this was a blip. They are activated by touch pads instead of ordinary switches.

The bathroom was wonderful with a large spa tub big enough for 2. I particularly liked that the lavatory was separated from the main bathroom area.

We also enjoyed the rooftop terrace bar (this is very popular so it is advisable to book) and had a swim in the stunning pool area.

Overall the best stay we've had in Brisbane, we will definitely be back!

Stayed for one night in a ‘basic’ vista room. Even the most basic room that the hotel offers oozed opulence and luxury. From being able to control the room at the touch of a button to the custom made furnishings, we thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay.

The valet staff were delightful, as were the check-in staff.

Only complaints are the lengthy process to check in. Only having 2 counters open meant we had to wait 15 minutes in the crowded lobby before checking in. Also, the TV not being compatible with chrome cast/ not being a smart TV would be a bit of a let down for families/those on longer stays. Limited channels on Foxtel.

Overall, the price of this hotel can be well-justified by the attention to detail each room features. Highly recommend.

We recently enjoyed a three night stay (18-21 June 2021) at the Emporium. We stayed in a River City Suite which was luxurious and afforded beautiful views of Southbank and Brisbane City. The beautiful Southbank area was a short stroll.
We ate at Signatures, The Terrace and Belle Epoque, which all provided impeccable service and the food was delicious. We booked our table at Signatures 10 days prior to arrival and we booked breakfast at The Terrace the night before we wished to dine there.
On one occasion, there was one small discrepancy in the servicing of our room where bins were not emptied, used crockery was not replaced and room items were not replenished.
The Emporium is a beautiful hotel and we look forward to returning in the future.

My husband and I decided to have a staycation for the weekend. We opted for "luxury" and decided to spend the $460+ per night to de-stress for our weekend away. Check in was great. Valet parking (which is extra but expected of course), well appointed room which was overlooking the train station and the residents pool but hey, we didn't book the penthouse! No compendium explaining the facilities of the hotel or the various restaurants in house. No mini bar price list or information on in house breakfast to be found. Just a room service menu . Our first night was lovely. We had dinner outside of the hotel and returned to our room for the evening. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. Day 2 started great! Left the room around 9.30 am and put the "please make up our room sign on". Had a fab day exploring our beautiful city and then returned to our room at 3pm to start getting ready for our evening. We were shocked to find that our room was just the way we left it. Wet towels, bed unmade etc. We had dinner/theatre plans for 5.30pm and needed to shower and get ready. I called housekeeping (concierge answered) to let them know and I requested fresh towels so we could shower and get ready and they assured me that our room would be made up before we returned. Our towels arrived at 4.10pm. Despite the stressful rush to shower and get dressed, we had a lovely night out. Upon our return ... room was EXACTLY how we had left it! The morning of check out was very underwhelming. I was NOT asked "how was your stay", so I proceeded to politely let the young lady (not her fault) about our less than satisfactory stay anyway. My grievances were met with ... "we are in the process of changing housekeeping policies" and "thank you for letting us know". "I'm sure your next stay with us will be more pleasurable". WOW! My credit card was still charged for 2 nights parking and the couple of minbar bars items we consumed blindly with no price list mind you. For the nightly rate the Emporium charges, I would have expected a bit more in compensation for sub-standard service. We won't be back!

Dear robyng439, Thank you for taking this opportunity to provide us with some feedback. Its dissapoinitng to read that we fell short of your expectations as we pride ourselves in providing the best hospitality in queensland. The hotel provides a digital compendium which is located in the TV detailing all the hotel facilities and dining options available to our guests. The housekeeping manager is aware of your feedback and is currently investigating and puting an action plan to prevent a reoccurence of similar experience. We would love to gain a further insight into your Emporium experience and I can be contacted on 07 3556 3310. I look forward to speaking to you and hope to welcome you back in the near future. We visited here to support local businesses, big mistake! Okay upper price range, 30 Dec $540, 31 Dec $999. First night all venues closed at 10pm, two bars were sending quests between level 21 and ground, only to be turned away from both and told there is a pub down the road. As hotel guests at 4pm on 30 Dec we thought a cocktail or 2 at the rooftop bar would be nice, told to order at the bar, stand and wait for the drinks, would not take room charge and then take your drinks to standing room on the balcony where it was raining slightly. We asked for consideration if a table came available, my observation and discreet look at the booking manifest showed me future booking around 6 pm. There was at least 10 tables available, why not offer a table to us, well that means cleaning up again. Too much work!
So outside in the drizzle rain, we asked a bar waiter if we could use one of the two tables in front of us that had become available, he replied “yes, let me sanitize it I’ll be back in 1 moment”, 15 minutes later we walked out”.
We went to breakfast on the 1 Jan 2021, to return to our room at 11.20 to find we had been lock out, we had a late check out at 12pm, they where very sorry. This is not a well run hotel of this standing...my advice is reconsider this “money gouging” place to just sleep as mostly all venues where shut to in house quests. Our invoice on departure required 5 corrections ( in the hotels favor) avoid this hotel, many more better in Brisbane. Try the Stanford, The Star Casino, even the pub down the ride is better. At least there you wont expect a WOW or special moment. Because the inexperienced untrained staff do not know how to offer this, so not there fault, management needs to have close look at their operations. On a positive note Kelly In the Piano Bar saw the quests frustrations and tried her best to help, only so much she can do without management support which was none existent.
Also the food at breakfast was really good. My opinion is the management support and guidance is poor, this hotel is gouging money though opportunity and customers need to know. Rooms where very comfortable, we enjoyed the romance package. The restaurants around the hotel are exceptional thank fully. Try Aquitaine, The Cove, Polporo all these are outstanding.

On this occasion had a late (Midnight) checkin. Service/checkin was exceptional - acutely aware of our needs (quick snack and sleep after a long haul flight) our attendant arranged room service (and our choice of pillow from the pillow menu - pretentious yes we are!). That service experience typifies the service experience we receive when staying/dining at Emporium.
Beyond the checkin/great service:

Rooms are clean and of a generous size (if you are planning on spending any length of time in your room, recommend those over looking the river/city - worth the extra $$ for the room). With a very generous and well appointed bathroom, complete with premium toiletries its very easy to relax and unwind. Housekeeping always of a high standard. The pool is always clean and offers great views of the city with fresh towels and bottled water readily available.

Located in easy walking distance to CBD, South Bank Parklands, River Cat (ferry) and train, Emporium makes it an ideal location to stay to see the city of Brisbane.

We were leaving the GBR and we had never been to Brisbane, so we decided to spend two nights at the best accommodations that Brisbane had to offer. We were quite taken by the Emporium not just for the luxurious aspects of its hip accommodations, but I really appreciated both the view afforded me of both the river and the CBD.
There was not one moment of tension, with my request from their pillow selections was not available. After much prodding management decided that they would purchase the pillows that I requested and have them delivered to me post haste. He was a point of service that I much appreciated it.

Their signature restaurant is an exercise in haute cuisine, That was not only beautiful he served and presented, But quite reasonable of it’s cost for what was on offer.

The techno video presentations throughout the hotel are quite intriguing.

You really can't get better than Emporium South Brisbane. I've stayed at Palazzo Vercase before and I have to say this was better. The interior design is second to none. The technology in the hotel and in room is state of the art and will blow your mind. Every member of staff was professional, friendly and hardworking, we could really feel their dedication to providing us with a memorable and enjoyable experience. We honestly felt like superstars we got such great service. The dining was delicious. We had a room with river views and it was simply breathtaking. Comfortable beds, high quality toiletries in the bathroom, the place even smelled gorgeous. If you ever have the chance to visit Brisbane this is the best hotel in town as far as we are concerned.

To be honest it depends on the kind of people at the pool. The cabana suites are right next to the pool. So if there's a chance you'd hear them if the people in the pool were rowdy. In saying that the emporiums employees are usually Fantastic so if there was a problem, like too much noise, depending on the time I'm sure they'd tell the pool patrons to keep it down if they needed to
