Good location, but that were starts and finishes. The rooms are not cleaned well at all, the kitchen is filthy along with the showers and toilets I was there for 6 nights and did not seem that the shower and toilets had been cleaned at all. None of the rules are policed, the noice restrictions are' nt enforced to be...

My 2 brothers , myself and my brothers gf stayed here for Future music festival as it was only a short distance away from the event and we figured it can't be that bad for 1 night. Boy were we wrong!! Firstly we got put into an 11 person dorm, no sheets and no pillows and the receptionist said she...

I am fairly certain this place is a contender for the worst backpackers' in Australia. The place is entirely unsigned (which never a good indicator from the start), in a beautiful old building. Unfortunately, everything is downhill from there. I arrived on a rainy, windy night to find that my room's window was open. I lifted it up to close...

Very disappointing. I agree - sad to see such a beautiful building in such a state. This could be an amazing place. The building really has potential, and it wouldn't even need much/any work, just some staff that give a #$%^. I arrived to a room which had messy, dirty sheets on the bed (I could literally make out where...

I've read the references that other travellers left a few years ago and felt like I have to leave a good word for that beautiful old place. I don't know why it changed, but it definitely did! Like some of the others already mentioned, it's a beautiful old building and definitely NO PARTY HOSTEL, which I definitely appreciate some times....

The new manager has bought a severely run down, yet glorious, old house. There is building work going on presently and the amenities are better. When i arrived i had paid for a single room only to find it was taken, they very kindly put me in a 4 bedded room on my own, unfortunately no breakfast was offered as...
