Coming to Brisbane for a workshop and as a single traveller, I was looking for something economical as well as clean and comfortable. The Kookaburra Inn, located in a somewhat residential area on a quiet street more than met my expectations. From the moment I arrived the friendliness of the hosts was evident. They were so helpful and welcoming, answering...

The hostel is lovely, with a nice size single room with own fridge and sink. The room was very clean, with fresh sheets and towels each week. The wi-fi was fast, the shared kitchen and living areas clean and well stocked. The location is great with central Brisbane in easy walking distance and a large supermarket within a few minutes...

A chilled backpacker place, surprisingly clean with a homely kitchen. Bathroom facilities are minimal which could lead to issues when busy. Intelligent and approachable hostess. Quiet location, though this entire little street is full of holiday accommodation, giving it a fun air

This hostel gets everything right. The people are very friendly and helpful, the rooms just nice and clean, and so are the central area's like the showers, toilets and kitchen. The atmosphere is friendly and it's quiet. The location is just outside the city centre, you can walk there in about 15 minutes. Just around the corner there's a large...

Located on a quiet side street within walking distance to the tourist spots of CBD and the nightlife of Fortitude Valley, this is the quietest hostel I ever stayed at, very clean and with friendly and accommodating staff. The internet access is included and both speed and coverage is great, which is not always the case in Australia.

I was unfamiliar with Brisbane, so being able to find somewhere close to the river and downtown was very important, and very helpful The place is small-ish, clean (room and bathrooms), with good shared spaces

We stayed here for two nights in 01/2016. There's not much to say. The owner is very friendly and polite, the rooms and bathrooms are very clean, but aged. They could get a refurbishment. Two small kitchen, just one stove and therefore just 4 out of 5 stars. Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay and could relax well. All rooms are...
