Based on price and location we booked a Studio room for a weeks stay in June which unknown to us coincided with the annual Greek Festival. The H 105 we found ideal as it was close enough to a selection of shops , cafes restaurants and pubs yet far enough not to be affected by late night revellers and festival attendees. The studio room was well equipped with fridge , microwave, iron , ironing board , crockery and cutlery though the actual bed space was rather small and cramped. Besides free WiFi there was a well equipped laundry with Washing machine and Dryer that was shared with the adjoining studio apartment, The staff especially Manisha at Reception and Check in was very helpful and provided service with a smile. Thankful we made a booking early in the year as closer to the date Hotel prices in Darwin seemed rather expensive. This was our first visit to Darwin and we will re visit and stay at this hotel again.

The accommodation was on Mitchell St, which is a busy 'party' street in Darwin but at a quiet end. This was ideal. It is a large complex, some 14 or so floors and we stayed on floor 6 - about half way. We rented a studio room. It was compact but comfortable. The room had a shared laundry (with the next room) with free washing powder. The room and facilities all very modern so very welcoming. We didn't use the wifi, but it was available and free. There is a fridge, micro/combi conventional oven and tea and coffee making facilities in the room too. As well as a TV and air conditioning. There is also a safe deposit box as well. There is a bar and restaurant on the Ground Floor. Everything you need.

The location is great for a base in Darwin whilst you walk around and see the sights of the city and enjoy everything Darwin has to offer.

The staff were very accommodating and that included giving us a later check out (11am instead of 10am) and looking after our bags on the last day.

Location wise, facility wise and comfort wise it was all good and we would stay again. Another great feature is FREE off street parking. Perfect.

There was no toaster! We had to use the combination micro/conventional oven to do our toast which took forever.

We had a shared entrance so it was noisy when people in the next room came through the main entry door (i.e. Door 613, then it separated into 613a and 613b).

The air conditioning, whilst working, seemed to not get the temperature of the room low enough. The sun and heat come through the large window and the room gets pretty hot. We set the air con to 22c but it never got there.

We were charged a higher credit card surcharge than advertised on the Booking.com confirmation (1.5% instead of 0.6%). I did query this and got a refund for the difference but beware. Hopefully they will update their terms and conditions on the Booking.com website.

We stayed for just over a week in May.
Positives - large space with all appliances needed in a kitchen. Spacious balcony and large television in the bedroom. Great location on Mitchell street.
Cons- slight mouldy smell in the corridor and can be stuffy in the rooms even with the aircon on.
We asked for a room refresh early morning and staff didn’t come until 3pm after we had to ask a second time when we had already returned to the hotel.
The bed is super hard with only a sheet instead of a fittest sheet which seemed cheap and annoying. Pillows are terrible.
Staff at front counter needs improving with customer service.

It was a comfortable stay and we enjoyed ourself but for the price there needs to be some improvements.

We had a 2-bed apartment which was very comfortable. Both rooms opened up onto the balcony. We were on the north side of the hotel, so had views to Cullen Bay, as well as the sunset. The hotel is walking distance to the city centre, as well as the Esplanade. The only downside to our stay was that we had to ask for clean towels on day 4 of our stay. We were there over Christmas so understood that there would be no service on the public holidays & that minimal staff were on duty. Once we asked at reception after the holidays, the cleaning staff were up immediately to make the beds & deliver clean towels, tea bags etc. We loved our stay here & will definitely stay again.

This is a stunning and excellent accommodation in Darwin! The rooms, the facilities, the studio apartment is incredibly/highly well-equipped (microwave, dishwasher, cutleries etc). Also, there's a laundry area just outside the room which is complimentary. This has to be the best and affordable hotel/apartment in the Northern Territory! 100% recommended and will definitely stay here again if ever I am back in Darwin! Lovely receptionist staff too! Cannot praise this place enough! Keep up the good work and the hospitality!

We stayed for a total of 16 days, in 2 sections. We had a rate that included a one bedroom apartment with continental breakfast at Lizards restaurant. On first checking in, we were given an apartment, that was poky, and must have had a leakage, as the apartment smelt strongly of mould. Also quite a few lamps had missing lightbulbs and the safe didn't work. When we complained, they agreed to move us once they had rooms, however, they had no more lightbulbs and the safe was never looked at. Really, a hotel with no spare lightbulbs. After a few days, we got moved to a much better apartment, on a higher floor that didn't smell of mould but still had a few burnt out lightbulbs (still no spare bulbs). When we went to breakfast, we were told we needed a voucher, but these were only doled out each day, which meant waiting at reception, which at times was unmanned, each day. Breakfast offered was a miniscule bowl of cornflakes - no choice first day, with a croissant and a piece of fruit. No beverage, however, we were given coffee after complaining - what continental breakfast doesn't include a beverage. We checked out for a few days, then came back, and were given a nice apartment on an upper floor (burnt out lightbulbs, (still no spares)!). What was disappointing was that the pool area, where we had hoped to spend some leisure time, had 3 out of the 4 deck chairs broken and unable to be used. Also rarely had clean pool towels. We paid our hotel bills on each checkout, and were annoyed to find an extra charge on our credit card statement. When I called, they didn't know why we had been charged this amount. I was told to send email with bank statements. In total, I emailed the hotel 3 times and called the hotel 3 times, the last time the receptionist told me she would do it "right now" A week later, and still no refund, so I had to go through my credit card company, who got our money back. This could be a great hotel, if there were more maintenance, more customer service, and they need to do some urgent mould work on their lower floors.

I have stayed hear for 9 days so far and have hated it. After numerous complaints about the dryer not working and my clothes going moldy, the main reception lady is quite rude the dryer in my room doesn't work so I have to see reception every day to get a room key for a different room to use their dryer. I have booked over 20 nights stay at the H on Mitchell in the last six months,This has been my worst stay here and I am disgusted with the service. Be ashamed.

We booked a 5 night package that included breakfast every morning. Upon arriving we were informed that breakfast cannot be served due to Covid 19. We presumed the restaurant was closed. However, the next morning we walked past the restaurant which was open and serving breakfast to paying customers. We tried contacting the manager to get an answer as to why we were being refused our breakfast. The manager was always "unavailable". He never returned any emails.
Extremely poor service.
We are cutting our stay short and are moving into another Hotel that are providing breakfast and superior rooms and views, for the same price !!!
I will add the two bedroom apartment was a great size with a good great view of the sunset. However decor needs an upgrade and paint peeling in bedrooms really let it down. We didn't use the patio area as there were lots of spiders. Very noisy. You can hear traffic from 6 am.
Plenty of other Hotels in Darwin that will offer a better service so check them out before this one.
