Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There was no hot water in the showers, spoke to people in adjoining rooms, they said that's normal. I would have liked a hot shower in the mornings. Room ok, beds ok, aircon, fridge, TV worked. Coffee & tea facilities in room. Menu very limited. Steaks on the menu but told there were none available on the 3 nights I was there. Burgers ok. Chicken schnitzel overcooked and dry. All the seafood was frozen. The free croc show was excellent and informative by Tommy. Overall a 2 star "resort"

Stopped for lunch here on our way out to Dundee Beach. It was a welcome stopover on a hot day and the cold drink was most welcome. Dining area is pleasant but did not have any gluten free options whatsoever: had a deconstructed steak. burger with the lot, minus the bread: it was OK.

Highly recommend stopping in and visiting the crew at Sand Palms. We stayed there along with a mates family and had an awesome time. The owners Tommy and Jules and their daughter bear treated us like family. The food was great, cold beers flowed and a lot of laughs with the locals. The kids loved playing in the pool and were so excited when they got to meet 2 dogs who is one of Sand Palms crocodiles that lives out the back. Thanks again for having us and we’ll see you when we are back up in the NT.

Rode down there for something to do on a Sunday with a few friends. Stopped off for lunch and a couple of coldies. Really nice spot. Food was great. Our friend Tara said it was one of the best burgers she had ever had. Selection of drinks was great for a bush pub.

Couldn’t believe that it took an hour and a half to be served hot chips. When asked how long was it going to be because our small kids were hungry and tired, Staff member was rude and was complaining that she had to work and was spending her time on the phone playing games instead serving customers. When asked to talk to the manager/owner she claimed she was. I highly doubted it as she would have been lucky to have been in her early 20’s. Very disappointing won’t be back.

Stayed 2 nights so we could get out early on the water as its not too far from the Dundee beach boat ramp. Room was very spacious, king size bed, great air con, fridge and tea and coffee facilities. Nice size bathroom and very clean. Just needed a table in the room - plenty of space for one. Pool was a great temp and nice and clean too. Had dinner in the bar, food really reasonably priced. Ribs $18, chicken parmy $20, tbone steak $27, lamb chops $17. All came with chips and salad/coleslaw. Bacon and eggs for brekky $10. They also sell ice $5, and petrol - no more expensive than in Darwin and are a bottlo, so better prices than Cellabrations! So no stress to think about everything before u leave the city. Locals were friendly and welcoming. Great place for a base to go fishing or just for a night away.

The dongas are basic but have a fridge, and cheap at $30 a night. The bar has atmosphere and good priced drinks The meals are well priced and good quality. The ablutions need an upgrade and the hot water was not working which is tough in the mornings. Mush better than a nearby competitor at Dundee Beach
