The room was very clean and tidy. The service was very professional. We had a room right next to the pool which was convenient but noisy at times. I would have loved to see some gluten free options and decaf coffee included in the breakfast buffet. Overall it was a lovely stay, would recommend.

60% of our guests booked here for our beautiful top end wedding. Every staff member was amazing and so accommodating for us. We were so lucky they allowed us to have our wedding recovery day in the swimming pool as Territory Day was moved and we couldn't get in anywhere. Anything we needed - they were there for us. The wedding would not have been so so good if we didn't stay there. Very very capable of multiple bookings - everyone that stayed will be recommending this place. I would absolutely recommend these guys if you are looking for a group booking. We didn't have to worry about anything. Thank you so much Palm City Resort for making our wedding such a memorable week. So grateful. We live in Darwin and will definitely be coming for some weekends away. Please don't listen to the bad review from the Victorians - they literally made up a lie that someone vomited in the pool so we would all leave, even though we were all guests there.

Stayed in August. Paid $210 per night. Overpriced. Motel rooms are small. Tiny bathroom. Grounds are nice and the pool was lovely. Staff very helpful. Room cleaning was hit and miss. Okay some days, at other times it seemed just the bed hastily made or should I say sheets pulled up. Lots of noise as motel rooms on ground floor have people coming and going with roller cases along the walkway. Property is way overpriced at $210 but it would seem all accommodation in Darwin was overpriced at this time of year. It is a shame as domestic tourists may decide to bypass Darwin when borders are open. Darwin is a great destination but very expensive accommodation in dry season. Palms City is overcharging for 3 star property.

Do not be fooled by the pretty photos or the name. This is NOT A RESORT. It is a basic motel with bungalows set on a block of land in town. The bungalows are so small you couldn’t swing a mouse let alone a cat. The care factor from “Management” is non existent and at the price is a RIP-OFF. This is a classic case where a company owns the business and staff are just going through the motions. Supposedly the rooms are serviced daily but one day they didn’t even bother turning up. There is a queen bed jammed into a tiny room with virtually no room to move around, no bedside drawers, a sink with a kettle and a toaster but nowhere ti actually use them. Ended up having to put the kettle in the sink in order to boil it! The bathroom is also tiny and as dated as the rest of the place. The place was taken over by a noisy, badly behaved and poorly mannered group celebrating a wedding. No regard to the enjoyment of anyone else and when the issue was raised with the duty manager the response was basically “too bad, not the hotel’s fault, nothing we can do.” When it was suggested we check out after 8 of our 11 night stay and go somewhere else we were quickly told “no refunds”. There are much better options in Darwin where you will be treated as a guest rather than just another sucker with a credit card.
