Very welcoming staff who ensured daily cleaning and resupplying of consumables such as dish washing detergent, dishwasher powder and washing machine powder throughout stay. Clean towels and bath mats, tea towels and dish cloth provided each day. The apartment was lovely and spacious and had tiled flooring, ceiling fans and air-conditioning to the whole apartment, essential for stays in the territory. A full kitchen with adequate crockery, utensils , cutlery and cooking pots to enable you to cook in your own apartment if you wish. Downstairs is also a restaurant that does breakfast, lunches and dinners if you prefer not to self cater. A 4 burner electric hotplate, full sized under bench oven, full sized fridge and dishwasher are in the kitchen. a dining table with seating for 4, a lounge area with a TV and a desk. The main bedroom has a king sized bed with an attached ensuite. The ensuite has double sinks, toilet and shower. A small laundry room with a front loader washing machine and dryer with a sink. The second bedroom can be arranged with 2 single beds or another king bed on request and has its own ensuite with shower, single sink and toilet. The apartment complex also has an outdoor swimming pool and a gym. There is parking available for guests for $15 per day or on street parking out the front or around the surrounding streets

We had booked last minute off the website, then realised we had the wrong dates, but a quick phone call and all easily amended. Excellent value for money, was upgraded to a better room than booked and the bed! One of the most comfiest beds in any hotel in Darwin! Couldve slept in there for days! Great modern, clean facilities, eveything is in the room, would make a grear home away from home. Really good staff, made it easy to check in/out. Really couldnt fault anything! Breakfast included was more than we expected and good quality. Nice close to CBD location, will definitely stay again!

Oaks Elan was a great central location in Darwin city. I was unsure when we first got there as I was thinking we should have stayed on The Esplanade but as we explored a little we realised we were close to the Darwin waterfront precinct which was awesome, great restaurants and not far either to Stokes Hill Wharf, great to walk to most places and easy taxi and tour access. The restaurant and bar had happy hour each day which was most welcomed. The room itself was a 1 bedroom harbourview so we got lovely sunset views and views of the boats and jetskis on their tours. It had a washing machine and drier in the bathroom so it was a very tight space but good enough for self contained to be able to cook and wash for an extended stay

Location was good, check-in/check-out was smooth and efficient. Room was clean and spacey, air con was great, bed and pillows were comfortable, good water pressure in shower, good selection of movies and shows available on room TV. Pool and gym facilities were good (small but sufficient and clean). Reception, restaurant, and cleaning staff were all super friendly and helpful. We were able to borrow umbrellas (very helpful for the sun and sudden downpours), store our luggage at reception after check-out, and use the pool showering/change room facilities to freshen up before heading to the airport. Good location. Will definitely come back again. Thank you!

The Elan Oaks represents great value for money. Check in was simple & the staff were really helpful. Car park charges were reasonable. The spotlessly clean room contained a king size bed, fridge, views of the water and included in the cost was their continental breakfast. The breakfast was great value for the selections available-toast, cereal, boiled eggs, baked beans, fruit, tin fruit, yoghurt, an assortment of muffins/ cake and coffee, tea & juice. Location is central and allowed us to explore the city centre on foot with ease. My only complaint was the strong smell of dampness/ mould everytime we entered the room, not sure whether it just a result of the constant humidity or that the air conditioner filter needed changing.?? Otherwise such a great hotel, especially for the price.

Hotel was very nice and location close to town center. Short walking distance to the mall. We had a great view from our room on the 22 nd floor with harbour views. Rooms are well equipped, washer and dryer , microwave, hairdryer. Staff were friendly, although some hard to understand. Cleanliness was okay, could improve on the dusting side of things, I had to clean in between the headboards as it was thick with dust, the ceiling fans and inside the bedside lamps were dusty. The restaurant downstairs said closing time for breakfast was 10.30, we arrived at 9.50 and there was a closed sign on the door, so we had to walk into town for breakfast.

Credit where credit is due. This place is wonderful for a Business Trip or Holiday. The water view rooms have sensational views of the harbour & City in all directions. Location is very handy to the main shopping & restaurant areas with a short walk to the waterfront.The staff were pleasant and always willing to assist to any query or request. Rooms were smallish but had everything. Comfortable beds, good clean bathroom with rain showers. Small dining table, work desk and cosy lounge. Highly recommend as I have stayed at many places within the CBD and this place beats them all for price, quality and location.

We booked a one bedroom apartment with a balcony and was allocated one on the 25th floor overlooking Woods St. Not harbour views but still really nice. The kitchen is well equipped and there's Coles and Woolworths within easy walking distance so it's great if you want to self cater but the hotel is well placed for several good cafes and restaurants if not.
The major downside to this hotel is that the pool (like many others in Darwin) is not heated so I found it way to cold to consider using it in winter months.
I found it hard to get information about exactly what was in the room - things that are provided include: kettle, microwave, small oven, electric stove top, toaster, decent size fridge and freezer. We had nespresso pods but not sure if that's in all rooms. Iron and ironing board, hairdryer, toiletries, pool towels on request. TV in the living area and smaller one in the bedroom (but the sound quality is awful!) You get your own aircon units in the living area and bedroom as well as ceiling fans.
Other things that I consider noteworthy are: 1) The bedroom is separate to the living area but there are no doors and the room is quite bright at night from the lights in the corridor and beneath the curtains in the morning. 2) The bathroom can be bright and noisy for those of us that need to use it during the night.... I've added a night light to my packing list for next time! 3) CPAP and similar device users - the power sockets are really close to the floor in the bedroom so devices with power packs won't fit and the hotel doesn't have extension cords.

The hotel was in a an easy accessible central location, the staff were friendly and were able to sort out problems during our stay. The hotel was value for money and there was a fully stocked ( pans, cutlery, crockery, glasses etc ) self-catering apartment. The apartment was cleaned regularly and although in a central location was quiet throughout the day.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Had a 1 bed apartment with views over the harbour. Comfortable bed; functional but crowded bathroom thanks to washing machine and dryer; ok lounge and kitchenette with coffee pod machine. After an initial disagreement as to whether breakfast was included had free cooked breakfast every day. Tried many of the options initially but at the end settled for muesli and fruit - was getting too full! Barista made coffee was extra but very good - thank you Baristas! Friendly service that did their best but some delays on very busy days - no complaint just an observation. Only a short walk to the town centre; small gym and ok pool - my wife enjoyed it and did not find it too cold like many say. Only complaint is the rooms were basic clean but needed a thorough spring clean - mould on the grout in the bathroom; dirt collecting around switched etc.
