I've stayed here a few times and like that it's located on Mitchell St but away from the hustle and bustle of the pubs. It's close enough to walk to everything which is good. The rooms are clean and there is a fridge in the rooms. There is a pool and a kitchen, TV room and computers in the foyer....

Small, standard YHA facility. Great, safe atmosphere with helpful staff. The rooms were great and the eating area around the pool was a great place to 'hang out'. Short walk to town and regular bus available.

Average, clean and quiet non-party hostel with good location in Darwin CBD. There is a nice pool available for guests. Only down side is that WiFi is poor and costs. Overall; a bit pricey though, but I'd stay again.

Positives : Close to city centre with plenty of restaurants and bars at a walk able distance Room was neat and clean. Negative : The family room Room # 17 where we were put up didnt have proper cross ventilation. Good enough to spend a night. Neutral : Unlike most YHAs which have a common shower but this place didnt.

We stayed in YHA for 1 week although a little bit more expensive than other YHA we have stayed in, we had no problems at all. It is close to the CBD and quiet enough at night, kitchen was good although got a bit too busy at peak cooking time. We stayed in a 6 bed dorm with ensuite, beds...

The staff wasn't that friendly and the construction was annoying. It was quiet though and if you weren't trying to work on your tan the pool was nice. There weren't any power points right next to my bed but there were plenty in the room for everyone to have their own (6 bed room). I also wish there was somewhere...

Best hostel experience during my stay in Australia - clean, good facilities (including fridge, table in the room), friendly staff. I had room to myself, no so cheap, but at least you get good quality for that money, unlike some other Aussie hostels.

This is by far In my opinion the best hostel in darwin... But the choice isn't great! The rest of the hostels in darwin are dirty and very small rooms... Yha has big rooms and clean private bathrooms and a great clean pool.... The majority of the staff are great and very helpful... The only thing that let's this hostel...

Always had a cold shower, no hot water. I understand YHA is about 35 dollars a night but then I thought about it, this place is getting about $210 per night per room, given that I think they could perhaps provide better mattresses. I will admit my dislike for this YHA my have been the other guests in the room...

Hi Dion Thank you for your important feedback and our apologies about the difficulties you had with the hot water. We have a number of tanks and one of them was out of operation recently, requiring repairs. This obviously affected your room at the time you wanted to shower, so again our apologies for that. If you are ever having...
