Coconut Grove Holiday Apartments garners appreciation for its prime location near transport and attractions, though a vehicle is recommended for city access. Guests consistently commend the hotel's cleanliness, from immaculate rooms to well-kept facilities. The staff's friendly and efficient service contributes to a welcoming environment, and many visitors feel they receive great value for their money, despite some dated aspects. While the comfortable beds and pool are popular amenities, opinions on the rooms and Wi-Fi are mixed, with some concerns about room size and noise.

Stayed for quite some time with a few extensions and Edith and Jennifer did their best with success each time I found that I needed to extend.
A few scratches of the head to move things around to not upset the plans of others but to keep me where I was as well if possible.

Always possible for these two lifesavers and I thank them.

The ladies who clean the rooms are also special and are always asking and making sure you are not out of coffee or sugar or any other needs you may have.

Great stay, great people.. 😊👍🏽

Me & my husband loved it here, we stayed 3 nights but could have happily stayed much longer! We had an apartment with a king bed! It had everything you needed, I could have quite happily lived there, you have a full kitchen with microwave, hob, grill and oven. They provide washing up liquid, cloths, tea, coffee etc as well as soap , shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom, they really have thought of everything! There was a shopping centre a 5 min walk away with a BWS too! The bus stop is a 1 min walk which was really handy, especially since transport is free until Jan 2023. I would 100% stay here again, it was a perfect stay and excellent value for money!

Unexpectedly found myself required to home quarantine in Darwin after leaving Adelaide. When I called and explained m situation they were only too helpful in understanding what was required and assisting me in understanding the Northern Territory process.

They guided me in sourcing food for delivery from the local Supermarket and how to get to the COVID Testing stations. My online food order was delivered a few hours before I arrived to quarantine and they had accepted the order and placed it in the refrigerator and cupboards of my room.

When I came out of quarantine I realised how central Coconut Grove was to shopping Centres and Darwin. Public Transport right at the door.

We were given a nice upgrade. The two rooms plus the en-suite were spacious and immaculately clean. The decor was simple. The view was into a lush court.
It's location is very convenient to the airport and downtown is a short drive away. We liked the location because it was away from the noise of the CBD. Our first night was very peaceful; the second night some inconsiderate guests caused a disturbance. However, security did not hesitate to evict them when it became clear they were not going to respect other guests.
Parking is on site and free.Although the building is not new, for the most part it is kept clean and fresh.
It was well priced compared to other hotels we have stayed at in Darwin and we would be happy to return.

I came to Darwin for business and had my dog with me. This accommodation was recommended to me as it has some dog friendly rooms. While I was supposed to stay a month, due to unforeseen circumstances I was here for 3.5 months.

The team at Coconut Grove serviced apartments made me and my girl feel very welcome and looked after us well. For me it's not much smaller then a lot of apartments I lived in, in major cities.

Easy to access laundry. They also provide portable hangers for in room drying.

Clean, tidy and my king bed room (523) had a seperate living area/ kitchen that had all I needed to cook meals.

Good aircon and decent wardrobe.

Weekly housecleaning always job well done.

Jennifer and Edith were always there when I needed a hand or local advice.

While it's not 5 star, I really enjoyed the friendly vibe. I always felt safe, as there is a locked gate at night. I'd often take the girl out for wees at night and there was never any issues.

Coconut Grove is great if you are also needing to be closer to Casuarina.

The local Woolworths is 800 metres away and Nightcliff foreshore and pool also a short distance away.

Two parks readily available for the pooches.

For me it was a positive experience to my Darwin adventure.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Coconut Grove Apartments.
We stayed in a fully self contained one bedroom king apartment with a full kitchen, that was very comfortable and well equipped.
The highlight of our stay were the staff.
Nothing was too much bother to ensure guests were comfortable and happy and when we requested an extension of our stay by a couple more nights, they bent over backwards to accommodate the change.
We thoroughly recommend the apartments to anyone thinking of staying in a well equiped, super friendly and quiet setting in a good central Darwin location..

I had a Pet Friendly apartment. It was great that i could have my pet inside. Apartment was very clean and didnt smell of any previous pets.
I had a seperate bedroom and bathroom which meant i could keep my dog on the tiled area in the kitchen/ dining/ lounge area.
My second night was a bit noisey. I could hear people in the room above, moving around, using the toilet etc.
The bathroom was large but dated and had a few tiles missing off the shower recess. Great water pressure and plenty of hot water.
The pool looked great although no pets in pool area meant i didnt get to try it.
I would recommend this place to anyone needing pet friendly accommodation. Handy to shops,Woolworths, fuel station is all just down the road.

Booked a queen motel room for three nights and was thrilled (and grateful) to be told at check in of our complimentary upgrade to a one bedroom apartment. Service at check in was good and hassle free. However, I don't know how I feel providing my photo ID for it to be photocopied and kept by the property (have never had this done before). We ended up staying an extra night and it was no trouble for them to arrange this.

The apartment (top floor, no lift) was clean but dated. Having a full kitchen with cookware, crockery, cutlery, etc. supplied was convenient, as was having a microwave and full fridge and freezer. The bed was very comfortable, water pressure and temperature in the shower was great. As this was our first time in Darwin, the free parking, on site laundry and very good location were all bonuses.

No major negatives - curtains in the apartment were dirty, air con was noisy (but effective, thankfully), a family of noisy and abusive bogans turned up on our last day and was unfortunately staying in the apartment next to ours (not the property's fault but still not fun when you get to hear them yelling at each other at all hours, and having their noisy and annoying children repeatedly running past your door). Wifi was free but super slow. Didn't use the pool as we were put off by the fact that it didn't look clean.

Good value for money overall.

I stay at this establishment every time I travel to Darwin (usually every month) I originally picked this place back in February 2019 for a staycation due to it’s proximity to a gym/yoga, beach front eateries and shopping centre. It’s walking distance to all with a bus stop one block away.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and I just felt really comfortable.
There are a number of different rooms available for individual needs, I have stayed in all kinds and above all find them exceptionally clean.
The area is quiet with locked gates at night and a fun little BBQ and pool area.
I will continue to use coconut grove holiday appartments as my home in Darwin for its repetitive excellent customer service and familiarity. Thank you for having me

Arrived afterhours and on site manager greeted me and was very helpful. Room was clean, comfortable. Appreciated the laundry and swimming pool/BBQ area. Great cafe (Ruby Gs), and Woolworths 10 minute walk away, or bus stops are a 5 minute walk. I recommend the units numbered in the 520's - near entrance, reception, pool, laundry and surrounded by shady garden but quiet. All the staff were lovely, helpful and friendly. Minor problem was I could hear people above, and TV next door - minor as I said. Would definitely stay here again.

Hi, This place has a unique system so once you have completed booking online, they will inform you how to access your room key out of hours. So NO deadline for checking in! You will need to do booking and payment on line though.

If you are booked in and paid, on-line, they will SMS you a code for the night "safe" at the outside gate which will have your room key...you can arrive anytime you like which is great since darwin flights come in at awful times during the night.

Is it in close proximity to the hospital which I will be visiting daily and accessible to public transport?
Answer from Trev F

To Dianne O, i don't know what ur budget is, but i would prefer to stay somewhere like the coconut grove and have a small hire car at my disposal than pay $200 per nite plus. Darwin is expensive for accommodation, i have paid $70 per nite at the YWCA for a very basic room, they do family rooms also, however you are coming into the wet now Oct. to April, so there will/should be low season specials on. Check out Wotif for deals, and Airbnb (it's world wide now),is also a great option, it's a site where u stay in a private house as a guest set up with ur own room and share the facilities of the house, you will be surprised whats on offer, Someone mentioned a $100 deposit which is standard these days, this is not processed, its just put on hold/pending incase of damage to crockery etc. then deleted on ur checkout. google maps will give u an idea of distances, but don't forget Darwin is a small town compared to Brisbane, and easy to drive around, good luck, Trev.
