stayed here in a family room for two weeks with two adult children. Location is close to Smith Street Mall, the Esplanade park and has easy road access to travel beyond the city. We also walked to Mindal Markets and the outdoor cinema from here. The room was very comfortable as a base the explore Darwin and surrounds but is smaller than you would want if you planned to spend your days in the room. There was plenty of shelf space to store bags and clothes and a wardrobe was added to our room during our stay. The family room had a small balcony with a table and chairs overlooking the pool. This was great so long as a smoker wasn't using the next door rooms balcony. Access to the building and car parks was by swipe card so the carparks and rooms were very secure. The building has no view looking at the wall of the entertainment centre on one side and a car hire yard on the other. I think this aided the rooms to be very quiet and we were never disturbed by noise. The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. I recommend booking directly with Capitanos as they were very flexible to our requests to change our dates. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Darwin. It is the perfect location if you are planning to be out and about seeing what Darwin has to offer.

Capitanos was a great find in Darwin, as a solo traveller I found the Deluxe King Studio provided me with all that I needed including a King size bed and I slept very well for my whole stay. The pool although not huge was a great spot to escape the heat, I really liked the Fishing/Mariner theme and pool was never crowded even though hotel was full. finally I'll just mention that the staff were great, friendly, helpful and very accommodating, especially Leanne whom I dealt with mostly, if I come to Darwin again Capitanos will be the first accommodation that I call.

Fantastic studio appartement, really clean and nice. Modern and nice colours. This appartement was equipped with own bathroom, clean towels and all kitchen utensils. There is very comfortable bed with good pillows. There is TV with programs and free complimentary wifi , it works , The rooms are accessible by magnetic card that gives access to all passages and a yard with nice pool and all facilities, like washing machines and dryer and vending machine. This appartement is very close to CBD and Crocosaurus Cave and nice walk to Waterfront. It is really good place. Highly recommended 👍👍👍 Staff are very friendly and helpful 🙏

Stayed at Capitano’s for nine nights whilst exploring Darwin and surrounds. The hotel is in a great location, within walking distance to the entertainment area of the city. Clean room with nice decor. We had a room overlooking the pool which was lovely. Kids has a great time in the pool. It was nice to have Foxtel available. Rooms are serviced on the third and seventh day, which is a bit of a stretch particularly with kids - and our room wasn’t served on the seventh day anyways. Yelling at the kids to hang their towels up after using them did the trick after day three. Would definitely recommend.

I have stayed twice. The hotel is central so no need for a car if that is important. Quite a few restaurants nearby, Coles and Woolies in walking distance. Reception is friendly and helpful. Carpark is limited especially for larger vehicles. The entrance is secure. There is a pool but it looked pretty bland so I did not partake.
Rooms are comfortable without being fancy. Beed was large and good, TV had Foxtel. Internet was good. Large fridge and a microwave if you wanted to do basic cooking. There was a toaster but was afraid to use it given the large fee if the fire alarm is triggered.
Overall a good stay.

Hotel was well located and great communication - I was flying in after 1am and had delayed luggage, it was easy to get my room keys from the secure box after hours. Room was spacious and comfortable, having a good size fridge/freezer allowed for a few more comfirts with food rather than just eating out all the time. Parking was a little tight, but the secure gate was good to have. Pool was clean and refreshing after a long day, check out process easy and the staff all very friendly and making sure my stay was comfortable. Will be returning again!

Capitanos was lovely, we stayed with our 2 year old who absolutely loved the shallow end of the pool! We felt safe and very well looked after. The rooms were large, the bedding was wonderful, the TV and Air Con were working perfectly. The location was amazing - far enough away from the nightlife not to hear a thing and close enough to get you to everywhere you want to be. Cannot reccommend Capitanos enough for families travelling on a budget and a big thank you to Leanne for taking care of us at every corner.✌

We had a great stay at Capitanos, the location is great with a bus stop across the road. Most shops and The Smith Street Mall are within easy walking distance. The Darwin Entertainment Centre is next door which is handy if you want to catch a show. Situated in busy Mitchell Street it was still very quiet over our week long stay, no traffic noise or people disturbance. The rooms were clean and serviced, the Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed in June and the weather was quite warm for us coming from southern States so we appreciated the air conditioner and fan to keep the room cool. Can highly recommend Capitanos for your stay in Darwin. Just be aware there is no lift and there are two levels, if that’s an issue for you there are plenty of ground floor rooms that you could request.
