Point Stuart was recommended to us by family who had stayed there previously. We took our own boat so we could fish at Shady Camp which is only 20kms away and also Rockhole which is about 30 mins drive. The lodge is only 600m off the road. It was everything we were told about. Large camp grounds which were green...

We had the best wetlands cruise in the Top End here. Our guides, Tim and Dean, were knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly. The wildlife was spectacular, particularly birdlife (brolgas, jabiru, magpie-geese, pied heron, all in one shot!). A magic experience, highly recommended.

Stayed here with mates for a 5 day guided Barra fishing trip. We stayed in the 2 bedroom self contained air-conditioned units which while basic were comfortable and clean. Tea and coffee were provided and each unit also had an overhead fan. The restaurant and bar were well used throughout the stay and provided excellent quality meals and cold beers...

A great place to stay when you are fishing on the Mary river. Its basic accommodation with big rooms that can accommodate groups. The bar/restaurant is great as well. I had some of the the best T-bones there. The cooked breakfast is good too early in the morning. The bar is a bit more expensive for around AUD6 for beers,...

This is a great place to see wildlife, wilderness and get away from everything. The last 6km are a gravel road, but easily doable in a 2WD car. My two sons and I stayed in the deluxe cabins which are huge - 4 twin beds and ample room for stuff. Beds comfortable and it's so quiet! Got a great night's...

My 6th visit to this place but first time with my son. We came up for a safari and had an amazing time. We did some fishing and billabong cruise and loved every minute of it. Dean the owner was great to deal with and service and food at the Saloon bar was between than almost all my dinner experiences...

We stayed here for one night after a recommendation from friends. The accomodation is very basic and the food in the restaurant nice but relatively expensive. We went to see the sunset at Shady Camp which was beautiful and the river cruise the following morning was fantastic! You do have to drive for 30 mins for both activities. Make sure...

Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge is an oasis on the way to Kakadu National Park and is probably chosen for a stopover, as it was for us. It is, however, well worth a visit in its own right. The lodge is very well established, well run and represents very good value. We stayed in a quad-share lodge room, which was very...

Went here with my partner and a mate staying in one of safari tents which were basic as we expected for the price. Staff were helpful and friendly, facilities were clean (BBQ not working and did not have gas), ATV tour was excellent, overall really enjoyed our stay and will be happy to visit again.
