Recently spent 15 nights in Pandanus Lodge. Although confirmation stated for stays of 7 nts or more you get a linen change all we got was two new towels. No clean bed linen! Rooms are small but adequate. Bathrooms need exhaust fans and a mirror in the main room is also required. Only mirror was in the bathroom. Full smokers ash tray at bottom of stairs was never cleaned. Pool not supervised and was quite dirty some days. Far too small for a park of this size. Staff at reception really not that pleasant to deal with, felt like you were intruding on their time. Young girl at cafe was a delight. Public facilities is caravan park area were well maintained.

Hello Happy Travelers, this park is popular with travelers but also sand flies for some reason, so make sure you bring insect repellent. Ensuite sites are smallish but ensuites themselves are large & clean, new section sites are bigger but not much shade yet. Motor sports circuit nearby so can be noisy sometimes, as is the airport. Has a small cafe with good value for money meals. Bon Voyage

Fantastic stay! Booked from Brisbane and very easy to communicate with. Super friendly helpful staff at reception. Great location with a bus stop right at the end of the street for easy access into Darwin. Everything was clean and well organised. Had all the right touches like well thought out placement of furniture, detergent and dish cloths and enough utensils etc. Would definitely recommend :))

Due to a glitch with Tourism Top End, we arrived here the day before New Years Eve to discover that we didn't actually have a booking, despite making one and having confirmation of it. I wondered where we were going to stay in Darwin, thinking we would never find somewhere due to the time of year. As the office at the park was closed, I called the number provided and spoke to Dani who is an absolute legend. Not only did she reopen the office to come and assist us, she put us in a heavenly Rainforest Retreat villa for the night (best sleep I have had since being in the NT, over four months) and then got us into our originally booked accommodation the next morning. The room we had at the Pandanus Lodge was great as well (fantastic pillows) and very good value for money. Good location, conveniently 10 minutes to pretty much everything in Darwin by car. The camp kitchen was always clean, no issues with noise and the entire park is really pretty. This will be our go-to when we come to Darwin, both for the value and incredible service. Thank you again Dani, you have won over two very satisfied travellers!

We stayed there for 4 days in one of their cabins. We paid for 3 nights and got the 4th for free, which made it around $150 per night.
I would say it is one of the nicest and cleanest cabin we have stayed in a very long time.
I have not seen such clean pots and pans, etc.
The staff was super friendly!
The park is nicely done

Pending your location given in the park, you could have a good or bad experience. Ours was average because we were in the very back of the park, which backed onto a roadworks site. They did advise that it was a new part of the park but was not worth the money we were charged.

The price should be tiered so you pay for what area you are in the new area or established older area.

The amenities were quite good. The showers were clean and fairly new. The laundry blocks were also very good. One thing to keep in mind was that this was not a coin-operated facility. You had to utilize a QR code on your phone to then pay. Could be hard for older travellers.

The pool was nice for a dip in the afternoon.

There is a small on-site cafe that opens a limited time in the morning and again for dinner. We did not get a chance to try this as it did not work with our time.

A little way from the city if you have to take a cab or UBER.

Midway Tavern was just up the road for takeaway or in in-house dining. Also available is a Liquor Legend Shop for your alcohol needs.

What a great place to stay. Darwin is an incredible place, people are friendly and lots to do and the best part about it is the Hidden Valley Caravan Park.

It is a quick drive into town down a major freeway and the park is well maintained and the people are really friendly. Management have the park working well, it is peak period at the moment and yes, there are some times when the vans have to queue for a short time while booking in, but the team have the process down to a fine art, so getting onto your site is pretty easy.

Sites are great and there are lots of facilities. When we were there the semi finals of the FIFA Women's World Cup were being played and there was music, some food vans and a large screen to watch the game on. How's that for service.

Really recommend this park 10/10.

Lovely park we stayed in the Pandamus Lodge the rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly with a lovely cafe. The pool was way too smaller for the number of people in the park and children need to be controlled to not bomb and jump in as the pool is toooo small.

One of the best run caravan parks I’ve stayed in, and I have stayed in a lot. Managed by Danni and Mel and maintained by Leigh, Col, Ben and Wally. We liked it so much that we stayed for a few months. The amenities and grounds were beautifully maintained and Danni and Mel in the front office were very friendly, helpful and eager to assist with any request. I highly recommend this park to anyone staying in Darwin.

This park has recently been enlarged. The original section has mature landscaping but the new section has patchy grass and small trees. It will be some years before there is any useful shade.

My following comments refer to the new section as this was were we were placed.

The facilities are modern and clean. It took forever for hot water to come into the shower. So long in fact that I had started to shower cold. There are two barbecues that are in as new condition. I think this is because they don’t work. The sites are poorly numbered. We had to get out of our motor home and search. We found faded numbers painted on the verge, often under over grown grass. There is WiFi but it is only available in the original section, near the pool.

My wife asked the manager if there were sand flies. He said yes but then said they were low at the moment. He explained that their presence is dependent on the phase of the moon.

The park does not allow pets.

We were planning to stay for two days but chose to move after one.

Thank you for your feedback. Last year we were very understaffed and apologise that we didn't have all of our facilities up and running This year we have had an awesome wet season so the trees have had a growth burst and are looking lovely. Being in the Tropics, so yes we have mozzies and midgies. For more information please check out our blog on our website. If you are particularly sensitive to bites please advise our friendly staff so we assist as much as we can.  Please see information provided by the Department of Health on midgy management and know that we follow their procedures to control them.

Hi Heather.. Yes you can.. While we won't be there to personally greet you at that hour , we do have a very smooth after hours check in process. Many flights arrive late into Darwin & we have many that use their after hours checkin process with no issues. Hope this helps. Kind regards Danella

HI Jackie There is a bus stop approx 5-7 minute walk up to the top of the Road on the Stuart Highway - buses run regularly.. However like Margi M has already suggested, I would suggest to hire a car for ease and convenience to get around to places - there is so much to see and do and having the convenience of your own car will make your trip much more enjoyable. Please let me know if we can be of any further assistance. Regards Danella - Hidden Valley Tourist Park
