I stayed here for a couple nights last month while visiting family in Darwin. The check-in was smooth, and although my room was on the ground level and right next to the reception as well as outside drive area, it did not disturb my time inside the room, or when I am sleeping. The bathroom is great, high water pressure and the air-conditioning keeps the room cold. The other good point about the hotel is there is a front entrance, and a rear entrance that leads onto another road which is more quicker to access Mitchell St than trying to walk around the other main road area. I really think this is good value for a modern hotel.
I cannot fault this hotel .. We arrived to be greeted with big smiles and happy staff.😁The room was very clean and super comfortable we were facing the Smith street road side and you can hear a little noise from across the road..But nothing to complain about.. We even had a staff member help us out with the swimming pool..🤪 Great location close to everything and has a parking facility as well.. 10/10 Good Value 👍
No words to describe the vibe and experience I had here. Five star staff and management are always ready to assist you and you can tell that they love what they are doing. Clean, comfortable rooms and I think the mattresses must be new, I had the best sleep in years. A cute cafe just next door, I didn’t have time for full breakfast but lunch was to die for! Ethnic Japanese cuisine for ramen lovers as myself. Car park is cheap and they provide you with a gate opener, nice and safe. In the heart of the city and I really couldn’t ask for more. Thank you everyone
On entering our apartment there were live Blow Flies in the windows. On the balcony all along the ledge cigarette ash, someone had butted their cigarettes & glass or bottle stains on the ledge as well and the balcony wall very dirty. After been in the apartment longer discovered how dirty this apartment was, expected it to be 100% clean for new guests & been shut down with Covid with all the health concern. The apartment was appalling. It hadn't been cleaned properly between guests. The floor was not vacuum and probably not mopped. Cupboards, skirtings, dishwater, oven, mirowave, etc, everything in the apartment was a build up of dirt, grime & dust. Bathroom floor was very dirty and I cleaned it with bacterial wipes a few times. Toilet was dirty which is absolutely disgusting when previous guests' remains are there. On the under seat, down the outside of the bowl and under the rim was brown. Mould in the shower which looked like it has been building up for some time. Sofa was stained and uncomfortable. Andrew you know how to do your job as hotel manager to managed the guests but someone really has to look into how the cleansers are managed. Alison on the afternoon shift in reception was very friendly and helpful. We have never experience a dirty, disgusting appalling state of an hotel room before and paid premium price because it was booked in Feb. The apartment was left 100 % cleaner when we left. Covid 19 or not, this apartment was disgusting. Shelley …
We spent ten days here, arriving on a Saturday. The room was comfortable and cool and most of the staff friendly. We were shocked on Sunday morning when we came back to our room after a day exploring to find our bed unmade and no fresh towels. The desk staff informed us they don’t service the rooms on the weekends! This is not noted on Bookings.com nor were we told on arrival. We said that when we stay in a hotel we expect service every day otherwise we would have stayed air BnB! The room was then hastily fixed, the bed just pulled up quickly and fresh towels provided. We asked that the room be done on the weekend to follow but on Sunday once again, this was not done despite a reminder in the morning. Be warned if you stay, they provide two only coat hangers so you might want to bring some of your own. Also, in room 211 the drawers in the robe do not open because the sliding door is too long! We had to fold and balance our clothes on the safe and bought hangers from Coles to hang as much as we could! The pool in this hotel is very small, good for a cool off only. The laundry facilities are good with a load of washing and then drying costing $5 each. Bring your own detergent or buy from the supermarket nearby. Would I stay here again? Probably not.…
