Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very comfortable caravan park. Well looked after by Mark the caretaker and his partner Michelle. Nothing is to much trouble even helped out with minor repairs to my caravan. Great amenities including en suites and a beautiful pool. Recommended.

Our 6 weeks in Marrara Caravan Park was very enjoyable. Michelle & Mark were very helpful. Ensuite was clean. Central to everything we needed. If you want 5 star go elsewhere. Grass, pet friendly and relaxed atmosphere!

I love this place. Clean park. They are super nice and working hard at improving the park. But level sites with a concrete pad and grass. Ensuite is clean. Central to everything. We will stay here again

Newly renovated with still more great facilities to come in the months ahead! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at KOA in Darwin, especially the private bathroom for each site. Good location for our purpose which was to be near the airport. We'll definitely come back if we visit Darwin again.

We stayed at KOA caravan park for 5 weeks and enjoyed our time there. The park is currently undergoing a major upgrade, a modern swimming pool has been added and many more features planned. The manager and staff are very friendly. A large solid wall has been built across the front of the property helping lower the traffic noise. The park is clean. We appreciated our clean Onsuite. The sites are spacious with solar hot water. The park is close to major shopping precincts, we found the location of the park central to our activities. We look forward to returning to the park at a future date to see the project completed.

Arrived at Koa to drive in & see sign “Park closed for repairs report to Malak” so had to drive out & into next drive. Went into register & given map - drive around but couldn’t find site number only to discover we were actually on a site in Koa. Back out onto highway & find somewhere to turn back onto othe side side of highway. Finally got into Koa & found site which had an ensuite - had been handed 1 toilet roll for 12 days 🤪 Set up & went to ensuite - no toilet roll holder. Nowhere to hang towel or put shampoo, etc & nowhere to put clothes. Could not recommend this place at all.

Negatives: 1.) With 200+sites at Malak & adjioning KOA caravan park with 130+sites managed by one fulltime reception staff (overloaded to the max) great personable service from her. Limited time to respond to phone booki gs or enquiries. 2.) Onsite laundry has 2 washing machines for use for 330 sites. (1 machines spin cycle not working) & 1 pet washing machine. Very short open day hours to 6pm then locked up. A rude man came to lock up the laundry & told me the owner told him that he doesnt have to offer a laundry to his guests and the short hours are because he wasnt willing come any later to close the laundry. 3.) Pool is situated on the Malak Cavavan Park site shared with the adjoining KOA Caravan Park with early closing time 7pm. 4.) So if you have been out sightseeing & spending your $ around Darwin dont expect to cool down with a swim or do your laundry on your return unless you comply with there short hours . 5.) Guest Services dont seem to be a concern with a bully of a pool & laundry janitor trying to intimidate with his postulating and comments of disregard to the guests. Positives: 1) The lovely receptionist has not gone out on stress leave yet. 2.) The sites are well set out with slab & grass. 3.) Some shade trees. 4.) A FEW minutes closer to the CBD than the other Darwin Caravan Park 5. Pet friendly Make your own assessment on what is important too you.

Came here for a couple of days just extended for the second time to now 19 days. Quite, comfortable, roomy, close to city, beach, shops. Love it here and recommend to anyone reminds of how things used to be roomy and quite. Also great for pets our dog loved his big site.

This park was one we drove past whilst staying at Hidden Valley Caravan park. We loved the look of the open space and huge areas per site so we left Hidden Valley caravan park as we were on a dusty crammed in spot! Each site has a slab that you park next to and your very own ensuite. No kids facilities such as a park to play at, but it is under recently new management and he has big plans for the Kao side of the park. We have three kids and they loved being able to ride in open spaces. Weekly rate is great plus cost of power. PS George we think Ray should be your groundsman, info man and maintenance man 🙂 we LOVED arriving to a grassy site.

Absolutely terrible caravan park! Overpriced with below average facilities! Would not recommend at all! Paid our $55, drove in and straight back out again! Stayed at Hidden Valley for the same price and absolutely no comparison... Green grass, Palm trees, shaded camp sites and excellent customer service!
