Spent a night here, the room was comfortable, air conditioned and with good water pressure and temperature for the shower.
Staff were pleasant and helpful.
My room had a TV, small bar fridge and a kettle. There is also a shared kitchen with toaster and some basic cooking appliances. The outdoor area looks lovely and had a BBQ that guests can utilise.
Given the remote location, I was very impressed with the standard of the accommodation.
I stayed in room 19 which had a fantastic view from the window and verandah area.
The Darlala is a motel run by the Yungul Mangi Development Aboriginal Corporation so great to support locals by staying here.

Recently stayed her on a work trip. This is in the middle of a community and my goodness it doesn’t disappoint. For where it is in the middle of nowhere and the ammenities that it has, comparing it to other motels/places that are on offer in Katherine (where they should know better) and Mataranka this little motel is fantastic.
They have bbq facilities with cooking utensils and cleaning products, kitchen facilities with a fridge etc. your room is delightfully clean and comfortable, the hot water is plentiful and the experience was memorable.
Well done to the people who look after this motel, they are amazingly surprising in a great way!
They have coffee facilities in your room, with a bottle of water, and a mini fridge. If only Knott’s Crossing in Darwin could take a leaf out of their book it would be great.
This was the best little spot to stay in when compared to Knotts Crossing and Mataranka Homestead.
Just beware there is no room service, so pack some meat and salad in an esky ready to bring along and cook it on the bbq overlooking the stunning scenery.
