Camping certainly doesn’t come more glamorous nor the view from the ‘tent’ more spectacular than this. At Longitude 131°, a gathering of luxury pavilions overlooking Uluru, the vibe is intimate and civilised. The desert base fans out from the cool sanctuary of the Dune House, site of lounging, cocktails and Rock gazing. Dine on contemporary cuisine infused with indigenous flavours overlooking the nation’s spiritual heart or under a glittering canopy of stars at Table 131°. In the spirit of the original pioneers, relax after a day’s exploring in a tent recreated for today's traveller with a swag of mod cons. The comforts of the lodge are offset by discovery of the World Heritage listed wilderness of Uluru-Kata Tjuta, explored on a series of signature guided encounters. Longitude 131° is a place to really feel that the most desirable luxuries of today are infinite time, endless space and the sweet sound of silence.

Even if you are well-traveled, this is a place you will remember for a long time. Service is casual yet personal and discreet, the tents are extremely comfortable and the food excellent. If you can afford the time and money, stay for three nights to give yourself the full

What an incredible place, on the edge of Uluru national park our stay at Longitude 131 was outstanding. Although you stay in a “tent” this isn’t camping, it’s absolute luxury. The quality of service, accommodation and meals were all outstanding. During our stay we managed to

Going into the red centre in January is madness, and we experienced 48 degrees Celcius, but besides that - this i Paradise. Fantastic service from start to end, fantastic standard on the "tent" with fantastic view over Uluru, gourmet class food in all meals and great tours. And

A stunning setting. From the deck or from inside our tent the views of Uluru were amazing. Simply watching as clouds pulsed through was a show I’ll remember. Beyond that, the walks and tours were good. If you’re very interested in photography, you might want to book a

On the face of it staying at Longitude 131 seems expensive and it is, however when you consider that all food and drink and tours are included in the price then it becomes a little more reasonable. It is worth every penny. This is a truly wonderful experience from the moment

We were lucky not to have any flies and the weather wasn’t too hot. I’m afraid I don’t know what it will be like when you visit. Accommodation, and all areas have fly screens, and face nets are provided in each room for when out and about. The staff are incredibly helpful and attentive, and will know how to deal with the flies and the heat. Hope you have a wonderful time there.

It is right outside the resort, still so far away! The distance to the resort is only 4 km (less than 3 miles), but from the hussle-buzzle of the resort, Longitude 131 is located in such a pristine location, totally undisturbed, and out of sight, from the resort. This also gurantees you the most amazing star gazing at night - no light pollution to diminish the incredible brightness of the clearest heaven you ever saw at night!
