Wonderful stay in the middle of nowhere! Great food, great service and comfortable rooms. The buffet breakfast was second to none and we loved being able to get coffee or a snack while lying around the pool after a long walk around Uluru.

Sails in the desert is an oasis. Lovely room, beautiful resort. The staff are very friendly. The resort is very clean. The food was great. It is only a short walk to the shopping down at the town square, or a bus comes past every 20 minutes. We did the Fields of Light dinner near Uluru. That is a must...

Only booked this quick escape a few months ago and my daughter and I flew up to Ayres Rock last week with no idea what we would find. I wanted to visit Field of Light and Uluru. What a pleasant surprise, the Hotel was awesome, an array of staff from all over the globe working together. All pleasant and so...

Comfortable room, well kept and clean, great breakfasts included, internet was a bit iffy, room service staff did a great job, friendly and helpful reception, we would happily stay there again. Plenty of options for food and shopping considering how remote it is.

Close to Town square, 2 queen beds and both very comfortable. Excellent breakfast which was included in our deal. Meals quite expensive but to be expected in Uluru as transport of all necessities and food has to come a long way from Darwin or Adelaide.

We had a very pleasant stay at Sails in the Desert during May 2017. The staff could not have been more helpful, courteous or professional. Breakfast and Dinner were very good although the main restaurant is limited in dinner variations/choices particularly if you do not want a large meal. The hotel itself is tired, the rooms need a makeover (hot...

Pros: beautiful breakfast, amazing comfortable bed. And of course the surroundings - Uluru and Kata Tjuta National Park - are spectacular. Cons: I feel ripped off for staying here. I paid a premium over the other hotels and turns out I should have just stayed at Desert Gardens (paying for a room with a view of the Rock) or stayed...

Given the whole resort is literal in the middle of nowhere I was tempered in my expectations, despite the eye watering price of accomodation. I was pleasently surprised at just how good the service, food quality and rooms were at this hotel. After a checkin that wasn't the warmest and no room available a decent service recovery by way of...

We stayed at Sails In the Desert for 4 nights. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly and service was excellent. Breakfast included the usual hot and cold dishes but the standout was freshly squeezed orange juice rather than the usual bottled or canned juice as found in the major city hotels. For a hotel located in the middle of...

The hotel is quite nice though starting to get a bit tired. Old Aluminium windows are hard to open and close. good breakfast buffet we liked the free guests laundry - after being on the road for 10 days- a nice touch staff are courteous and helpful. But if you want a view of Ularu best to stay at the...
