This is a beautiful hotel in Ayres Rock in Australia. The staff is very attentive , the property is lovely, the pool is centrally located. The rooms are very clean and a good size. The restaurant is a bit pricy, however, that have a wonderful selection and the food is wonderful. Also, the bar has very good good and is...

Good hotel. most likely the best in the area. Food is definitely the highlight and really worth rating of 5 starts . Service could use some improvement but generally good. Hotel parking isn't enough. On arrival I would ask for parking area as not very clear. Our room could use some maintenance Overall experience is good.

My husband and I spent 3 nights at Sails in the Desert last week. Beautiful resort, not too far away from The Rock. In fact, you can take a short walk out to several lookouts to view the Rock from a distance. The Resort itself is beautiful, rooms are comfortable and the breakfast and buffet dinner at Ilkari Restaurant is...

We enjoyed our time here enormously Our Terrace deluxe room had 2 queen beds and a huge terrace surrounded by bougainvillea with lounges and an umbrella which was very pleasant for relaxing after tours. My only quibble was the very tired bathroom It was in need of retiling and showering in the bath is difficult. We found the food at...

This hotel was a shock. The public areas were great and gave great promise as to the rest of it. Shame the promise was so great as it in no way lived up to it. As we entered our room, the smell came and hit us in the face! It was the sort of smell that happens when carpets have...

We chose the Sails in the Desert because of it's 4* rating, this was meant to be the highlight of our trip to Australia, however it was very disappointing, the room was ok but nothing special, we couldn't understand why they gave us an access room when we saw a lot of less abled guests struggling by. The first evening...

A family stay over Easter long weekend. The room elegantly fitted out with a large balcony. Bathroom fittings old and tired looking, tap leaking and new sink poorly designed – the tap barely fits over the sink. Room freshening up very late in the day but happily returned to service after our children had a nap. Grounds well maintained but...

Yes, there may have been a few hiccups with baggage going to wrong rooms and initially not correct number of robes/towels/etc but all was swiftly remedied with smiles and good grace from staff. Breakfast was particularly excellent and the friendliness of all staff - restaurant, gallery, garden or room service was brilliant!

This trip started with a delayed Jetstar flight which is the norm and expected. When we arrived at Sails it took an hour to check in. When we got to our room it was a twin (had booked in feb and requested a king ($500+ per night) After little response from management we had to push them and finally got...

Good, solid 4 star hotel in the Dessert. As noted in a number of these reviews, the Ayers Rock Resort is owned by a single organisation. This property is the "5 star property" in the resort. We spent 3 nights here in April 2017 and we are from Sydney. PROS: - Clean rooms and very spacious - Terrace rooms have...
