Travellers' Choice
Welcome to Alice's Secret Travellers Inn; a quiet green little oasis not far off the centre of Alice Springs. Being the smallest, we pride ourselves on our cleanliness and friendliness, and we are happy to give you that extra bit of attention you will miss in the bigger places. We offer air-conditioned accommodation in funky themed private and dormitory rooms. All include bed linen and access to shared bathroom facilities. This hostel is the perfect spot to get ready for your outback adventure (ask for specials) or to relax and recover after it. The beautiful, lovingly decorated garden is featured by an outdoor swimming pool, the fully equipped kitchen and free BBQ facilities give you the opportunity to cook and sit with fellow guests and the shared TV lounge and the book city are two comfy hideaways to chill, even on a rainy day. We love to keep it interesting! That’s why we’re always working on little projects to maintain and improve our little ‘home away from home’ for our guests!

Stayed at the hostel 3 separate times over a couple of weeks and each time we were met with great information and above and beyond service. The place has a cool vibe and lots of places to chill out. I would recommend it to anyone travelling to Alice.

I really enjoyed my time here - the host, Seb, went above and beyond for us! We received a free upgrade to the ski lodge, recommendations for dinner in Alice Springs and Seb’s assistant Emily looks over the office! There’s also Chickens! Seb also was very accommodating when I was unsure if I would miss my flight after a tour and offered to temporarily book me in! (Lucky for me I made the flight - but have to admit was a little sad that I didn’t get to go back) Thanks Seb!!

Perfect base for our two families of five (six kids aged 9-14) before and after our campervan road-Trip to Macdonnell Rangers, Kings Canyon and Uluru. Pool and garden very homey, Aden and staff couldn’t be more helpful with ideas recommendations and making sure we had everything we needed.

This is a fab base for your time in Alice. The proprietor, Seb, was super welcoming and helpful, giving us hot tips for good food, pubs and things to do in the local area. Rooms were tidy and had good air con too. There were also hammocks, shady outdoor seating and a pool to help us cool off after big days in town or on the road. 10 minute walk from the botanical gardens and Todd Street. Super relaxed vibe. Highly recommend!

Super friendly organised host, Seb. Quirky, quiet, gentle friendly venue. A gem of a place to stay. Stayed in 3 different rooms during our time in Alice, all were really nice. Particularly loved the Lou's shed. Welcomed us to store gear while on trips out bush. Highly recommend.

Staff/management were polite, efficient and unobtrusive. Accomodation, ammenities and grounds were clean and well kept. Ambience was peaceful. Other guests were quiet and friendly. Location is within walking distance of town. Cost was appropriate and affordable.

Location excellent. Out of town just enough to be in the natural environment each day crossing the riverbed and friendly relaxed atmosphere in communal kitchen and grounds. Best beds in Alice! Amenable staff with plenty of travel stories and recommendations of places and events locally and country wide. I’m always happy to return to freshly made bed in clean establishment

This hostel has something really special to offer. More than the epic decoration, the vibe there is simply lovely that it makes it hard to leave. Richard and Esther are super helpful and dedicated to the guests and they make you feel at home straight away. I had a lotttt of fun over there, meeting amazing people and enjoying the hammock! If you are hesitating between hostels, don't anymore. This is the sign you were waiting for : Go to Alice Secret and be part of this wonderful place ! Thank you amazing staff xxx
