Food was cooked well. Ambiance typical for an Outback chain restaurant. The service was great. However ,the restaurant was empty because of summer in Florida. Price was good. All food was very good and my steak was cooked perfectly as shown in the menu diagram.

Laura and Ben are so welcoming. The cottage is quaint, clean, comfortable and quiet. Short drive to town. After 5 weeks of travel the breakfast is the best we have had. Family enjoyed the breakie and separate rooms.

We stayed at Bond Springs for 4 nights and wished we had more time to stay. The cottage is comfortable, spotlessly clean. Laura and Ben were excellent hosts. The breakfasts provided every day by Laura were amazing. Fresh bread, fruit, yoghurts, egg and bacon pies, the list goes on. A different feast every day. It was so quiet, just what we needed when we arrived in Alice. Bond Springs is easy to find and only a short drive from the town of Alice. Highly recommended.

Our visit to this outback retreat ended in a big disappointment. Our travel agency booked the Wurlie cottage but after arrival we were told that the owners decide on arrival in which cottage you will stay. We were put in a room with no other facilities, no kitchen, no bbq etc. It was not even on the website. The food and drinks we bought we had to put in the fridge in the kitchen of the main house. Which was not what we had in mind for a self contained cottage. After an hour we left the premises and stayed in Alice Springs.....

We stayed two nights here in a converted stockman's cottage. It was comfortable, had everything one needed - it was about 10 miles from Alice Springs, but seemingly nearly in the middle of nowhere. We had two wonderful breakfasts provided by Laura, and had the opportunity to "Barbeque" stopping at the supermarket in town for supplies on the way. We even had four cows just wander by the gate one morning, on their way to wherever. There was a small pool for the guests to use. Being so far away from unnatural light at night, the stars seemed to be very bright and the sunsets magnificent.

Wonderful place to stay. Perfect hosts. Great breakfast. Peaceful surrounds. Fantastic scenery - what more can I say. Not hard to find and being out of Alice Springs is a bonus. A special place to stay.

Had a lovely relaxing stay at Bond Springs. It really does feel in the middle of nowhere, probably because it is. It's about 8 miles out of downtown Alice Springs, partly on dirt road, this added to the attractiveness for us. Very old style, not phone, no TV, no internet. Very friendly people, we even got a bottle of good old rainwater.

Bond Springs is self catering (they do not have a restaurant), but they do stock your fridge with a very good breakfast. It is only 15 km north of Alice Springs, so you can stock up with food in the supermarkets there, and do your own cooking in the accommodation kitchen, or the gas barbecue on the veranda. You stay in a modernized stockman's house on the Bond Springs cattle station. All the necessary bits for a comfortable stay are in place, and the house is well decorated. You are free to walk various station tracks (or use your 4WD if you have one) We enjoyed both the accommodation and the personal attention we received there. Other accommodation claimed to be on a cattle station, but I felt here that this actually was staying on one.

We stayed here In May 06. It was a wonderful experience. The property was really lovely and very comfortable and yet still had a feel of 'yesteryear'. Woke up in the middle of the night and just walked out on the verandah...totally amazing night sky! The owners brought over a really well stocked hamper, which consisted of homemade bread, butter & fruit compotes. Different cereals, fresh milk, fruit juices and bacon and eggs (laid by the station's hens) for breakfast. A really special place and would absolutely recommend.
