Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Looks like the Astor has turned into a “workers” place to stay during the week. Language was bad as was the dress thought I was back in the shearing shed in the late 70,s or the Army in the 80,s very intimidating told the wife to stay in room They need a workers bar where they can chuck some straw on the floor. Very disappointing been staying here for years I ask check dates to see what works are being done in area.

Made the mistake of booking the "4star" hotel for a trip to Wagga hospital upon entering the room it was pure disappointment a copper pipe running through the entire room with no efforts to cover it extremely outdated decor and just dirty not even worth $50 a night i think a backpackers in Sydney would be better my wife and i stayed 15 minutes before leaving the keys in the room and booking elsewhere avoid at all costs

This property is rated four stars....why? The rooms are a bit grundgy, I took off my shoes and walked two metres to the bathroom. They were dirty when I sat back down. It's old, not well maintained. I think the mattresses are original to the hotel? They are worn out and sagging, not very comfortable. The place is really small and dated. The walls are paper thin, I could hear the guy in the next room cough and fart like he was in the same room. Parking is a nightmare, seems like more rooms than spaces? There is an excellent hotel less than two blocks away from this one for the same amount of money. I didn't know about it when I booked this one. My advise if you're book here. Go to the pub and drink heavily so you just don't care then enjoy the room.

So apparently this is a 4 star hotel. . Hmmm. . In my bathroom I have the upstairs room toilet pipe running across my ceiling and before you ask, yes I can hear the opening their bowels, the amount of toilet paper they are using and to finish it off I get to hear their fecal matter come through a pipe in my room. Report to staff and met with "oh we've never had that feedback before". Then there's the PowerPoint hunt, finally found one behind the bed, to access it for laptops, phone charge or the like you have to move the bed away from the wall. Overall, a pretty poor experience with a room to match. Not 4 stars and more like a backpackers accommodation.

Stayed there while down for Marching Out Parade at the Army Barracks - staff were so accommodating & friendly. Housekeeping staff did a great job each day. Room was good size with Queen bed, 2 easy chairs, coffee table + 2 bedside draws wardrobe, fridge & coffee making cupboard with jug & toaster, - Could do with plates & knife at least to go with the toaster. Parking spaces were a little tight but parking available next door.

This motel is on the main road and sensibly oriented inwards making it quiet. Staff are very friendly and efficient. The casino part is mostly poker machines. The room was 80s dated but functional. They are also on the small side. There has been some renovation done.

Bed was ok but made atrociously. When I tried to get in they had tucked it all in so tight that I had to remake the bed It was tucked in so tight even the mattress protector came up 3 flights of stairs no elevator. Glad I only had 1 bag. It was clean and tidy

We stayed on our way to Ingham driving from Rosebud the first day. Great room on the small side but functional for two people and very clean. Ate in the restaurant, meals were beautiful, hot full of flavour and well presented. Staff are very accommodating and really friendly. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Needed a place to crash. Had to be cheap, clean and quiet. It was all of those three. Wifi worked well. There was room service on offer but I went for a walk to get dinner as everything is right on your door step. Friendly service. Will be back for sure.
