We stayed in the hotel on two different occasions over a ten day period. On both occasions, the staff were amazing - couldn't do enough to be more helpful. Each trip to the front desk was a pleasure. The rooms are quirky, very airy and the attention to detail very precise. We found the two different rooms we stayed in more than comfortable and very relaxing. Kensington Street Restaurant is not to be missed. A culinary experience not to be missed! With Spice Alley just across the road, the location couldn't have been more perfect. Highly recommended and we would return there without hesitation.

I am a huge fan of conservation-inspired design hotels, and thus, was very keen to stay at The Old Clare Hotel, the latest addition to the Unlisted group by hotelier Loh Lik Peng. However, with two highly rambunctious rug rats in tow (a four and six-year-old), I had huge reservations about staying at a design hotel. All my worries were put to rest. Upon check-in after a 8 hour red-eye, we were greeted by a truly warm and enthusiastic Guest Service Manager, Alice Negrini, who humored both my kids, and prepared a welcome tray of toys, coloring books, and two bags of gummies/candies in the room! My kids could not have enough of Alice, and would ask to see her every day, and she completely entertained them tirelessly each time! We were staying over the Easter wkend, and Alice went

Loved the spacious room with a big comfy bed, high ceiling and industrial feel. Not sure about the glass bathroom and lack of privacy. Fast friendly check in and out. Had pre dinner drinks in the bar on both nights and loved the service and the drinks. Pool bar closed both days we were in house so no opportunity to visit. Great restaurants at your doorstep, we had heard great things about Kensington St Social and we were not disappointed. This was our first visit to The Old Clare nd definitely won't be our last.

Hello MichaelCiel Thank you very much for the kind words, we're chuffed to hear that you had such a great time. While our Pool bar has gone on its seasonal break and closed over winter it is always possible for our hotel guests to order Room Service to the pool deck at any time. I stayed here for 2 nights with my partner. The fit-out of this hotel is fantastic and very unique. The rooms feel very large thanks to the high ceilings. The bed was extremely comfortable- perhaps one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've slept in. We unfortunately didn't get a chance to try any of the restaurants onsite (next time!) but do recommend trying the cocktails in the hotel bar. Similar to what other reviewers have mentioned, the rooftop bar/pool was closed both evenings that we stayed- we had hoped to be able to relax by the pool after a busy day. We did have a morning swim which was pleasant (the pool is very shallow although sufficient for lap swimming). Great location, very close to central. We also used the valet parking which was $50/night & quick/easy. Would

Hello N0v0c6str16n Thank you for your very nice feedback and recommendation. So good to hear that you enjoyed your time with us so much. We spend a lot of time developing the bespoke mattress in our beds to make them as comfortable as is humanly possible (we call it 'Old Clare's Soft Spot') and I should point out that you can even purchase the beds through the hotel. While the Pool Bar is closed over the winter season, as a hotel guest at The Old Clare you can enjoy the deck and room service up by the pool at all times, even when the bar is closed (and the pool is heated all year round). Hope to be able to welcome you back with us again soon and be sure to let me or the team know if we can help in any way or form. Kind regards, Timo Bures General Manager

This is one of the most amazing hotels that I have ever had the pleasure of staying in - the bed is super comfortable, the room actually comes with a luxury bathrobe - non of this hard cardboard material gowns - light fluffy and luxurious - the room we stayed in was room 101 - The Clare suite - it was bright airy excellently decorated - the whole theme of this hotel is chic and stylish with a twist on the old and renovated - the bathroom was massive and the shower was divine! I honestly cannot say anything bad about this hotel at all - we had plenty of support from the staff on duty and even from the concierge who wasn't on duty via social media! (thanks Martin #thesuperconcierge) after one nights stay I decided to return the following week and stayed in the Connel room -
