I was lucky enough to be booked here for a business trip, and stayed in the Chippendale loft. The charm comes from the details: the glorious retro sofa, the impressive one of a kind lamps, the marble bathroom with the deep bathtub and the rain shower head. I had room service one night which took over an hour to arrive - so this taught me not to think it's a quick option after a long day. That said it was tasty and I went to bed with a full belly of steak, salad and chips. The only comment I have that isn't 100% positive is that the kettle and cups and coffee machine are all on the lower level, but as far as I could tell the only source of water is from the taps in the bathroom - upstairs. Perhaps I should have used the bottled mini bar water for my cup of tea? I also used the

Our stay at Old Clare Hotel was absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived the service was exceptional - a huge shout out to Alice, Guest Services Manager, who is second to none!!! The considered design is amazing, the rooms are flawless and the surrounding restaurants and bars make it a destination in its own right!

This place is the best! When you have to travel for work, it's always nice to stay somewhere decent and the Old Clare really stacks up The rooms are very trendy and modern, and I love the open plan aspect with the bathrooms. Super comfy beds just make it even better to get that good nights rest, and the location is very handy I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone that wants somewhere a bit boutique and different to stay when in Sydney It's definitely my new fave place to stay

Won't regret to try the old Clare hotel, min walk to train station and very convenience to international airport and domestic airport, is about 4-5 stop from central train station. For the room is a different type of style and each room have they style. For my first time I stayed a handicap room which it very big space and very comfortable bed ( which it good for those long traveller arrive ) shower room was perfect almost nothing I can complaint about the room. For hotel breakfast slightly disappointed as they don't provide a American breakfast but you can go to next door pizza restaurant to have a good breakfast or you can go to " spice valley food court " to select what food you want. Definitely will stay there again when I'm in Sydney

Love this new hotel. Very comfortable bed and great bath. An excellent array of restaurants around Kensington st and we enjoyed Kensington st social. The gym is basic and the pool bar was closed for the colder months and I want to return when it is open. But you could still use the pool and the water was quite warm.
