This guest house is one of Glebe's original old mansions which has been modernised without losing its charm. Although on a comparatively busy road, traffic noise was minimal. Scenic Blackwattle Bay is a 10 minute walk away, and there are countless very good restaurants and cafes within a 2 minute walk. It is most reasonably priced, and the breakfast (inclusive)...

Absolutely loved this guest house. A warm welcome greats you each morning over a fantastic breakfast which will ensure you are full and ready for the day. Fantastic eggs!! Beautifully clean and well looked after rooms with fresh towels every other day which although I usually would find a little wasteful I did love having them. It is only 30...

Stayed in Glebe Verona Hotel whilst travelling through Australia. It was close enough to city centre to walk (30min) but only a short bus journey too. The breakfast was extremely nice and filled you for the day! The hotel room it's self was cosy, quiet and clean whilst the B&B was everything you needed. Lovely hosts too! Thank you for...

My husband and I stayed at Verona guesthouse in Glebe for 2 nights. We were both very happy with the quality of the accommodation and the location. We had a room at the front of the house on the top floor. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was small but it had everything that was...

Wonderful bed and breakfast located in Glebe, an inner suburb of Sydney, close to Darling Harbor. We stayed here both pre and post cruise for a total of 7 days. All eight rooms have ensuite bathrooms, the beds are double size (smaller than a queen). The B&B is very clean and cute. There is fast, free, high speed internet. The owner...

Guest friendly: umbrellas, guide books, strong wi-fi. Hosts were all helpful--they would give information and/or help, or they would leave you be. Apart from your room, there is a dining room/kitchen, an indoor sitting area, and an outside lanai. Easy public transport. Lovely neighborhood. A stroll around Blackwattle Bay let us see the off-leash (well-behaved) dogs in the area. There's...

Thank you so much for your review Connie. I'm glad you also liked Esca cafe which has a regular local clientele. We hope you return soon as three days is not long enough. Verona Glebe.

We stayed 2 nights in this wonderful B&B and enjoyed every minute. Julienne is a very warm and welcoming person and makes you feel at home immediately. We had a big room with a very high ceiling on the second floor. Two beds, quiet A/C, full desk and a nice size bathroom. All tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Even though...

Our stay at the Verona Guest House was excellent. We couldn't have been happier with the experience. The room was comfortable and clean and the managers couldn't have been more helpful. My daughter and I stayed at Verona Guest House earlier this year. We thought it was lovely. The room we had was small but plenty big enough for the two of us and it was spotlessly clean. The bed was really comfortable. The owner was lovely, helpful and very friendly without being intrusive at all. The breakfast was self help...

Staying in Glebe

Neighbourhood Profile
An inner city suburb along the water, Glebe has a deep-rooted sense of cultural history and heritage. It originated as a semi-rural resort for the well-to-do, but has transformed into a student-centric melting pot. Visit Glebe Point Road for ethnic cuisine as standard as Mexican, Indian, Italian and Chinese, or as diverse as Spanish, Bavarian, Polish, Czech and Lebanese. You will find that Glebe is accepting of the eccentrics and aboriginals that roam the streets, integrating students and people of all economic statuses into the multi-cultural fabric that distinguishes this suburb. Glebe Foreshore is a great destination for a leisurely walk along the Bay, and the Saturday market is a great scene for bargain hunters.
