Stayed for 6 nights. Very poor sound insulation, can clearly hear the next room conversation. Wall, Celling and bathroom tiles look very dirty. The placement of TV is seriously a mistake. It either impossible to watch it at the table or on the bed. The water pressure of shower head is very small. While the flushing of the toilet is...

Spent 2 nights in the hotel, good location on William street and two blocks to Kings Cross club area. Vending machine all around the hotel, a small lounge available for BBK at price of 9$ per person. Staff was very friendly, airport shuttle bus comes to the hotel every 30 mins for pick up/ drop off at price of 12$...

It is very close to "red light zone". Night clubs around. It is impossible to sleep because of traffic. Facilities in the room are terrible. There is no hair dryer, no tea/coffer bar. If you want some hot water, you need to go down to the dinning room and get it yourself. Very bad conditions!!!!!

While the rooms are basic, they are what you pay for. Ibis Budget provided friends and myself the cheapest accommodation around that was only a short walk to a nearby train station and food. In addition the staff were friendly and checking in and out was easy.

This hotel was situated near a night club, meaning it was very noisy. However the situation of the hotel was good as you were close to the subway station and some nice restaurants. The room was clean, and it also came with a complimentary breakfast, this was basic, but decent.

I thought it was horrible, I paid AUD 214 for three nights, I appreciate its budget but this was just terrible. Dirty walls and windows, dirty toilet, dust on the TV, broken fitments, graffiti on the walls, halls stank of cigarettes. The bed was OK, there is also a bunk for kids, the room looked like a prison cell. The...

I believe that this hotel is pretty decent. Facilities are clean and comfortable and it is a good deal for the price per night. I will recommend it to anyone particularly tourists who have a small budget for their holiday trip yet desire a location which is close to most of Sydney's popular sights & attractions. I won't mind staying...

After staying at ibis budget's in Europe I had high hopes for this. DO NOT STAY HERE. Light in bedroom would not work, bed on wheels when you role over the bed slides, stinks of cigaret smoke, loud and inconsiderate guests who scream and yell for hours at 5am. As someone who works in the travel industry i will not...

    Staying in Darlinghurst

    Neighbourhood Profile
    Darlinghurst
Home of the small bar revolution in Sydney, Darlinghurst has more bars per capita than any other suburb. Themes range from American whiskey bars and 1950’s theme bars to hidden bars requiring secret passwords. Oxford Street is the "Gay Capital" of Australia, where gay and lesbian-friendly venues feature “diva shows” and dancing until the morning. Vintage lovers flock to Crown Street, and small designer boutiques can be found along Victoria and Bourke Streets. Dining in Darlinghurst is a gastronomic adventure. Food from all over the world is on the menu, from American ribs to tapas, sushi to gelato and every ethnicity in between.
