Detailed Reviews
Positives
The views are second to the none. The corner 3 bedroom suite almost gives 270degrees of views. Spacious, comfy beds, lots of storage space, Well appointed kitchen. Duty manager was most attentive and helpful with the parking situation.
Good location with plenty of restaurants around. Walking distance to public transport, China Town and darling harbour. Do assess this for your group especially if travelling with family including seniors.
What could be improved.
Reception staff really need to know the proper directions to the carpark from a driver's point of view. I have lots of experience driving in the Sydney CBD but due to poor directions to the carpark, I had to do 3 rounds of the block before getting to the correct carpark.
The parking arrangements need to be improved. Reserving a spot doesn't guarantee a spot. I did get an email about that but if you are bringing a car, there needs to be some arrangements in place. I did get a spot in the end but that took another hour out of my day.
The lounge set in this apartment was totally worn out. Does not go at all with the name Meriton. The bottom of the kitchen cupboards are rotting. These need to be addressed urgently before mould and other issues emerge.
A lot of people have commented about cleaning. The bathrooms definitely can be cleaner. What it adds up to is that going maintenance and some attention to detail with cleaning is needed for a place that costs what it does.
It's really a 3.5.

Hello 32sunitag Thank you for the time taken to share your detailed review. It's lovely you found our apartment style accommodation at Meriton Suites World Tower in Sydney provided you with excellent views, comfortable beds and plenty of space for storage. Hearing our central Sydney location was close for you to easily explore and have plenty of eating out options is great! However, it's disappointing you experienced a few shortfalls. I’m pleased to advise we're currently going through a transition phase of upgrading and updating facilities and we would love to welcome you back in the future to experience these! The Meriton World Tower was the perfect place in the heart of Sydney. We had a two room suite on the 70th floor and the views from the floor-to-ceiling windows were incredible! The suite was huge and we had more than enough room for the three of us. Having a second bathroom and in-room laundry was a game changer. Plentiful linens, comfy beds, lots of closet space, and a fully appointed kitchen made us feel right at home. The bathrooms are a bit tired and could use a little updating but everything was very clean. The location was so close to everything we wanted to do and public transportation was just a short walk away. I was a little worried about elevator issues based on past reviews but we had no problems. Staff was inviting and helpful, especially when we asked for more coffee and toiletries. Highly recommended for groups or families looking for more space than a standard hotel room.

Still an incredible view and a quiet place to sleep, very good value for its midweek price.
However, the apartment felt tired - there were no racks in the oven, and no microwave suitable containers in the kitchen. The housekeeping being reduced to a "freshen up" every three days puts it on par with a Big 4 park in the sky, not the luxury hotel we enjoyed on our previous stay. For example, on arrival the ensuite toilet wasn't flushed and there were crumbs on the kitchen bench courtesy of the previous occupants. The furniture was missing, or showing its age, especially the cracked leather sofa. To stay the Friday and Saturday nights would have been over $1,000/night - far too expensive for what we encountered.

Hello Travel17364014713 Thank you for the time taken to share your detailed review. It's lovely to hear you found the view incredible and the apartment quiet for sleeping when staying with Meriton Suites World Tower. However, we're saddened to read of the shortfalls mentioned. Throughout the pandemic our industry has been heavily impacted by shortages of hospitality and housekeeping staff, due to this our daily housekeeping service is currently suspended. As we continue to recover we're working hard behind the scenes to fully replenish our teams, this will greatly assist us in returning to the exceptional service we're known for. We’re sincerely sorry we have fallen short on this occasion and do hope you will return in the future to give us another chance. Kind Regards, Amanda S Online Reputation

I booked 7 nights but stayed 6 nights so I could guaranteed a room when we arrive early in the morning so paid extra night stay. However the hotel has 10am policy so i had to pay 100 dollars to extend check out to 1pm. When I asked the hotel if they could extend 10-15mins as I have 2 very young children with me so if I could check out 15 mins past 1pm, they said no and I need to pay another night stay for 15 mins extension! For all the amount i have paid i could have just gone to four seasons!
When we checked into the room, there was drilling noise and we saw the adjacent building being demolished. When we called the reception they simply feign ignorance and said we are not aware of any drilling noise or construction. It is a full building being demolished and next to world square! i am shocked with such a statement. The demolishing takes place from 830am to 530pm everyday mon to sat. I have recording and pictures.
The room was in a poor state which is calling for refurbishment. Full Housekeeping is only provided once during our 8 days stay! We were told that if you want the room to be vacuumed you can do it yourself and they sent a vacuum cleaner for to me to diy! This is the worst service I have ever experienced. The room was dusty and doesn’t feel clean. The shower areas are dark no lights and theres no kids friendly amenities.
There was loud music playing in other rooms on a couple of nights.

Arrived to check in well after 3 pm after a long day of travel. Check in was slow but relatively simple. After a long wait for the lifts (of the four lifts servicing the suites, one was shut down for maintenance or non guest use) we headed to our room to relax.
As we approached our room a check in staff member came racing towards us to advise that our room was not yet ready. We asked how long until it would be ready and were promised that it would be no more than 15 minutes. We were invited to wait in the VIP arrival lounge a floor below until that time, and a staff member would come find us when the room was ready.
The lounge was locked and inaccessible so we milled around in the gym and pool area before heading back to our room some time later as no one had advised whether it was ready yet. Staff were no longer in our room upon checking.
Unfortunately, any cleaning was superficial and slap dash. The kitchen backsplash, bench and fridge were finger marked, streaked and generally unclean.
Our bathroom floor was filthy with drip marks (possibly blood) and the bath was covered in someone's hair.
We were shocked and deeply disappointed that a $900 per night room was neither ready on time nor cleaned properly for incoming guests.
Deeply disappointed.

Our check-in experience on Sat, 13 May was very disappointing, the female receptionist ‘Supervisor’ was quite rude and obnoxious to us. We asked for the Manager to take over our check-in as a result who was apologetic. Despite this the initial receptionist continued to stonewall us and then tried to over charge our debit card $4700 for a room bond when only $400 was required. Upon arrival into our 3 bedroom suite we noticed it had not been cleaned properly with rubbish and food still on the carpet and used wet towels still in the bedrooms so additional cleaning was required. The TV was also not working properly despite being connected to the WIFI and there were dishes still in the machine.

We’ve stayed here a few times when visiting Sydney. Unfortunately it’s not up to the standards we have become accustomed to. Firstly the toilets in our room have a musty urine smell (like a men’s public bathroom), the microwave smelt like off food even though appears clean. The staff when checking in wasn’t very friendly. She seemed to be over the day and even repeated herself asking the same questions like she was on autopilot. The room itself is just very tired and worn and not worth the exorbitant prices Meriton are now charging. Grout in bathrooms look like they need redoing for. For the price you pay you can stay at other much nicer/newer & cleaner facilities. I even booked directly through Meriton so usually you are given better rooms. I’m pretty disappointed overall. The only thing I can say positive was we had a slightly earlier check in which was appreciated after a long 5 hour car ride with small children. The view is obviously spectacular.

The excellent services provided by the concierge service and the location earn the 3 stars or i would give this service apartment a 1 star rating. Was given room 6201 but upon check in I was totally disappointed. The room was really dated , the dining chair and the sofa(leather worn and peeling) was really old and dated and the free wifi just cannot be connected. I called and requested for change of room which the concierge obliged and was moved to 6205. Exchanged the room access card and when check in was again not impress, didn’t request to change anymore as i think all the rooms are in similar dated condition. Besides, the carpet near to the full glass window were wet probably leakage from the rainfall.
We have 4 encounters of issues with the access card of either not able to tap the card to go to our lift level or entry to our room…..this is truly not acceptable.
The so called heated pool on level 61 is as cold as the chilling weather, stated as heated pool….. the management should go try it out…..
Overall, a very unpleasant experience….I will not recommend anyone to choose this chain if they do not have the intention to refurnish the rooms and maintain their facilities.

We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment in January 2023.
The apartment was lovely.
Spacious, commfortable and clean with gorgeous views of the city.
The location is fantastic with a Coles supermarket and foodcourt almost directly under the building and an easy short walk to Town Hall Train Station, Darling Harbour, China Town, Paddys Markets and major shopping areas.
Having 75 floors and only having 2 of the 3 public lifts working meant that wait times for the lift could often be lengthy but in an effort to alleviate this, the hotel had a staff member escorting patrons in the service lift during peak hours. This really is a minor drawback given how fantastic everything else was.
The only other thing to alert patrons to, would be that finding the carpark can be confusing. My advice would be to look for the Loading Dock entrance at 50 Golbourn St as the Loading Dock signage is more prominent than the parking signage (the letter 'P') Once you have vered into the Loading Dock/Parking area and you start to head down the ramp, ensure you take the first left heading down the ramp. If you don't, you will end up down in the loading dock and will have to exit and go around the block again before you can re-enter to get to the carpark on level 7. This being said, unless you really need to drive, I'd suggest catching a bus or train to Sydney and leaving the car at home. By the time you pay for fuel and tolls, it can be a cheaper option and Sydney has great public transport system, should you need it once there.
We will definitely be staying again.

Have stayed here before in a really nice apartment. This time the room stunk like bleach or chlorine, the cupboards were warped in kitchen, mould in bathrooms. It may have a ventilation problem. If it’s 24h parking, you should still be able to leave your car for the full 24hr period even on checkout day as you’ve paid for the parking. Other than that it was nice.

The kitchens in the apartments are well equipped and very functional.
If you need extra care taken with cleaning contact the hotel manager by email and make a request. I have found the apartments are 'clean enough' but maybe not enough for your special needs.
