Cons: Our corner room was tiny! Couldn’t have both suitcases open at once; one person had to crawl over the other to exit the double bed; shower poorly designed so water leaked all over bathroom floor. No microwave in room. Housekeeping staff did not understand towel policy of “hang up to reuse, leave on floor for replacement” - the ones we hung up were replaced with new towels, the ones we left on the floor were removed without replacement at all, requiring us to acquire new towels at reception. Only one lift, extremely slow during peak hours. Upon exiting lift, still had a half flight of stairs to get to our room, awkward for our rolling bags. Very early check-out time of 10AM

A very cosy hotel with a characteristic rustic style. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to the museum street station and very central. Around the corner there is a little shop and also around the corner there is the coulbourn street with a shopping mall. In the hotel there is a asian restaurant. At the reception they sell pastries, coffe and other hot drinks. There is also a cosy lounge next to the reception with a water tap. (Sparkling and still water for free) At the lounge you can also work and load your devices. But: Don‘t forget your ear plugs. The rooms has sliding windows, the noise of the street might affect your sleep. The rooms has hairdryers, shampoo, hand and bodylotion in their shower cubicles.

Nice place, ideal location for exploring Sydney Room was large so plenty of room for our luggage This hotel was booked as a package with a travel company and out of the 3 hotels we stayed this was the best Staff were friendly and helpful. Not far away from the city attractions most all walkable It has a happy hour for drinks at 5pm till 6pm, that was a bonus There is a Chinese restaurant attached to the hotel and cafe next door to use which you get 10% off on showing your key card as they don’t do breakfast or food themselves One thing I’d say it needs some TLC but otherwise all good

Definitely the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. This supposed 4 star hotel had minute rooms and only one lift. When the lift failed we advised the desk that we could not manage the stairs and they moved us to a 1st floor room which was an absolute disgrace, with a large ventilation fan right outside of the window running 24 hours a day and keeping us awake The room was not fit for purpose having absolutely no storage and badly maintained. Additionally right outside the door was another 3 steps in the corridor down to the entrance door. We had unpacked luggage on the floor during our 5 night stay as there was nowhere to put it. The hotel is marketed as 4 star, this room was not even 1 star and we think it was the last resort room and probably used by staff as it was next to the staff area. We have had better accommodation in a backstreet holiday resort B &B. We were booked in by our cruise company to whom we complained and I understand from them that the hotel did not respond to them regarding our complaint and having seen the full set of photographs they agreed with us and took it upon themselves to provide us with a substantianl refund of the hotel fees.

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. I recently stayed 3 nights in Sidney before taking a cruise with family to NZ. Since the moment I arrived the staff was courteous , I had previously mentioned I would appreciate an early check in coming from a 30 hr travel, not only my room was ready at 10:30am but they gave me a courtesy upgrade. Natalia at the front desk was always helpful and kind, giving us directions, providing umbrellas on a rainy day and it was so convenient that she spoke Spanish since some members of our family did not speak the Language. The property is very well located, clean, aesthetic and the staff super helpful. But what happened later is the main reason I’m writing this review. We requested a late check out for our 3 rooms since our ship would sail in the afternoon, as the time to leave approached we got in a hurry.. and when we where in the cruise ready for Departure I realized I had left important documents including my US visa and some cash in the room’s safety deposit box… OMG! My brother helped me e mail the hotel to let them know of the situation. Since the cruise would return to Sidney I could pick up my forgotten items on my return before heading to the airport.. they wrote back immediately saying they would hold my valuables until then. Today after 10 days I got back to the hotel and everything was there in a sealed envelope: visa, cash.. everything ! I can’t recommend this hotel enough. The hotel room looks decent although tiny as I got the micro double, and it’s definitely only large enough for one traveller (as I was). On the first night i checked in, I noticed that there were a couple of black stains on the bed sheets, under the pillows on half side of the bed and when i told concierge to change the sheets the next day - all that was done to my room was the neatening of bed sheets and new toiletries provided. However, what was NOT done was the cleaning out of trash, and new bed sheets. When I told concierge on day 2 that the sheets were not changed, the lady at the front desk gave me ‘new’ sheets which also had similar black markings. Also on day 2 and 3 - the bins were still NOT emptied and new toiletries or coffee/ tea were NOT provided. When I asked front desk about how much parking would cost, they couldn’t give me a definite amount, and when I asked if room service was supposed to come with the emptying of bins on a daily basis - I was informed that it should be provided as well. This experience was so uncomfortable, that I cancelled my booking for Veriu Central at the second half of my trip. But I must say all staff were extremely nice and friendly. However room service desperately needs to be improved upon. I did NOT get my money’s worth for 3 nights of stay at this hotel. I would NOT recommend anyone who values cleanliness as much as I do.

Great location but that’s as far as it goes unfortunately. Upon checkin we were advised that the elevator was out of order. We were told that it should hopefully be fixed soon however after talking with a few other guests it’s been out of order for atleast a month. Their website should say this. Stair case is old, steep and noisy. Not conducive for anyone older. So consequently NO DISABILITY ACCESS. If you are in a wheelchair you have no choice but to find somewhere else. That said even if you could get the lift up, if you are in a wheelchair then there is no way to navigate the rooms either. They are so small, the bed is pushed against the wall on one side with a large step up into the bathroom. Little to no place to hang your clothes and the shower recess is small. Room is clean with a small fridge containing long life milk pod, coffee machine available and kettle. Unfortunately would not recommend.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Veriu Central in Sydney with my son. Yes, the room was small, but it was so well-designed and clean that I never once felt uncomfortable.
The location of Veriu Central is simply unbeatable. Situated right in the heart of Sydney, you'll find that everything you need is right at your doorstep.
I have to give a shoutout to Melanie, who was simply exceptional. She went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed during my stay. Her friendly and welcoming demeanor truly made me feel at home.
In fact, Melanie's level of service should serve as a role model for other employees in the hospitality industry.

This is not a four star hotel despite advertising itself as such. We were extremely disappointed with both the room, the services on offer as you would expect for a “4*” hotel. The hotel tried to take payment before we arrived eventho we had selected payment on arrival, staff very helpful and free water. Wasn’t allowed into the room until after 2pm and no where to freshen up. Room extremely small for two people, no bin in the room, no wardrobe only a metal frame customised to act as a hanger however not able to use as it has tea and coffee facilities on it. TV didn’t work and despite this being reported the aerial was faulty and was told to make do (in so many words). Bed is extremely comfy. No facility to get food in this “hotel”! Housekeeping/ cleaning disgusting, they don’t make your bed, clean your room or dust but they do put fresh towels out and change your cups. They don’t clean your sink, loo and the sink can’t have been cleaned for some time as we found hair in the plug hole (pics attached).bedside tables not wiped down. We can’t wait to leave and go to a proper four star hotel. I won’t be in a hurry to return to this hotel. The price we paid does not match the expectations or service expected. Plus point is the staff were extremely friendly.

Although the room is small, the location and staff at this hotel make it a great stay with a great price attached. They also have special offers with local businesses in the area to make your money go a bit further. Literally 300m to Central and less than 1km to Chinatown so very central.

thank you for your message.
As a part of the hotel, there is a restaurant called "Harry's Dumpling-house" & "Harry's Singapore Chili Crab" which could be great options for evening meals. Both restaurants have got a great mix of Asian cuisine including seafood & dumpling specialties. If you feel like dining in your room, you can just simply go to the restaurant, order at the counter and they will get it delivered up to your room upon request. Fortunately, both places do room charge so we can invoice the meals to your company at the check out.
If you feel like spoiling yourself with fine dining options for dinner, there is "Nel" as a part of the hotel which is a unique dining experience. Look it up for a curiosity ;)
There is plenty of amazing Thai places around like "Spice I am", "Chin Chin", "Chat Thai", then Italian "Machiato" or a very popular fine -dining restaurant "Nomad" which is a mix of Australian cuisine. And of course pub food around the corner at "Harry's", "Civic" or "Maloneys".
Please do not hesitate to ask our hosts at the arrival what would the be dining options as every single one of us has different favorite spots and is keen on introducing them to you.
Also please, let us know if you like us to organize anything prior to your arrival and what are your room requirements.
