Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The staff were warm and welcoming and although the exterior of the hotel is dated the interior is more modern and the rooms have been updated, well appointed, clean and in good condition. The bed was the most comfortable I have slept in for years and had the best sleep. The breakfast is well priced but I found the hot food very bland. overall a lovely stay and will be back.

Rydges is well placed for RPAH and the specialist offices. Bus outside door for the city. coffee shop just up the road great for breakfast. Supermarket close as well. Location good. Staff were training and system did not appear to allow for Rydges membership benefits. Rooms big and Renovated. Bar and restaurant reasonable.

We recently stayed at Rydges Camperdown for a week while my Mum had surgery at Chris O’Brien Lifehouse. Check in was fast, friendly and efficient. My Dad and I shared a twin room with queen beds. Beds were comfortable, bathroom updated with good, clean walk-in shower. Restaurant open for breakfast only. At times the hot breakfast was not hot or topped up regularly. We used the Deliveroo service for dinner twice. The first time, the meals were just warm. The second, Dads lasagne was completely cold and my Risotto barely warm. Other than this, hotel is very convenient to RPA and Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.

Completed the 35km Bloody Long Walk and nothing better than to collapse into the Rydges bed afterwards. Easy to find and park, close walk into the city centre, easy booking in process, have been three times and will stay again.

When booking our accommodation on the internet, the website said that the restaurant was open for dinner. When we arrived it was only open for breakfast. When we tried to find a room service menu there was none to find and nothing on the TV as some hotels do. When we found a menu through the website, the selection was pretty slim and was delivered by an external delivery provider. We did order ourselves through a delivery app and received the wrong order from the same business. Went down for breakfast the next morning and paid for a full breakfast to which we had to wait for certain items that were not available (Bacon, Sausages, etc) and plates. When the items were added to the buffet, they were lukewarm and a bit tasteless. To finish, I would have expected to have some basic stationary in the room (Pad and a pencil) but this was also lacking. Overall, not the experience that we through we would have.

Well maintained hotel and conveniently located if you are a patient at RPA hospital. Friendly and helpful staff. Weather was not great so could not explore nearby areas. There are good choice of restaurants nearby which we could not experience due to weather.

The room was recently renovated and so was nice and clean. Being able to open the window for fresh air was a plus. I have never seen a carpark quite like this one though. I am glad we had a small car because there were dozens of pillars all tightly spaced and clearly damaged from cars scraping them. Parking was super tight and a nightmare. The staff seemed over it and while not rude, seemed to not want to be there. For the same money, I have stayed in some really nice places. This felt way overpriced for what it was.

our main requirements for a hotel are a comfortable bed and a good breakfast. This had both. The room was spacious and clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. It's a pity the hotel restaurant no longer opens for dinner, and the alternative of ordering room delivery from a local restaurant created some issues, e g the food took over an hour to arrive, it was not hot, and no eating utensils were provided

Negotiating Sydney roads and entering from the side road, the rest of our stay was wonderful. Bonus was the great view of the CBD skyline. Room was clean spacious and appreciated being able to open a window. We walked 20 minutes to Glebe light rail station for a short, but crowded ride to Star station for the Lyric Theatre.
