Very welcoming and flexible for our party of fifteen on a wet and miserable day in Sydney. A great venue for groups visiting Barangaroo Reserve. The food was great. Thank you Alicia and all of your team!

By chance we were atop nearby Observatory Hill (wonderful in its own right) & having meandered down to The Rocks, we spied this gorgeous old building with the cheery sight of happy imbibers & noshers streetside in the late afternoon Summer weather....& decided> WHY NOT! No space on the pavement alas, but the spacious & welcoming interior a perfect spot for a quiet one anyway. I had a couple of super 'long' thirst-quenching cocktails, whilst my husband tried a couple of the newer Aussie Gins that tease previous conceptions about botanicals in spirits one might hold. In all a very nice surprise & they serve good looking food 7 days a week >> I'll be back for that !

The Lord Nelson is Sydney’s oldest continuously operating pub and has a more upscale restaurant located upstairs along with the hotel. It is located in the Rock’s District that is very quaint with a number of other restaurants in the area. I’m giving this a 3 star because of our experience in the Pub only. In the pub you place your order at the bar and they will bring you your food and drinks. You can eat inside or outside. We ordered beer that was good and for our meal we ordered the fish and chips and hamburger. I enjoyed the fish and chips but the hamburger was extremely dry. My husband asked for ketchup (tomato sauce) but the server never came back. It was obvious that he was ignoring us and had no interest in bringing the condiment. Since the bar area was extremely busy we did not want to get back in line to request ketchup and have our food get cold. Definitely worth stopping by the pub for a drink and to see the interior of the building, but suggest you skip the Pub’s food.

Met friends for lunch here. Good selection of craft beers and I selected the Three Sheets which was a great choice. For lunch my wife and I split fish and chips which was delicious. The service was great as well as the food. A must stop when you are visiting the Rocks.
