PARKROYAL Darling Harbour receives accolades for its spacious, immaculate rooms and prime location, situated within arm's reach of Darling Harbour and central Sydney. While the hotel's attentive service and comprehensive amenities are often celebrated, some guests feel the experience could be hampered by noise and occasional communication mishaps. Opinions on value are divided, with praise for the hotel's conveniences contrasting with concerns over the high costs related to parking and breakfast. Despite this, the overall atmosphere and cleanliness are consistently commended, although a handful of travelers suggest some areas could benefit from an update.

This is a lovely hotel that is well-located near Darling Harbor. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and our room was well appointed. The shower is a bit small but had great water pressure. Our room was quiet with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was excellent; a lot of variety with good quality.

It is true, that this hotel is in close proximity to several expressways but during our stay we did not find noise to be an issue. From our room we were able to see part of Darling Harbour, which was only a ten minute walk away. We were here for New Year and really enjoyed being so close to Darling Harbour. The hotel is also conveniently place for train travel, the nearest station being Town Hall which was about ten minutes walk away. We were able to watch the fireworks from the Botanic Gardens and travel there by public transport, quickly and smoothly both ways. The room was large and well appointed. It was decorated in a modern style but rather too dark for our taste. The room rate included access to the Club Lounge for breakfast and evening drinks and canapes (sustantial). The staff in the Club Lounge worked very hard to look after guests but were sometimes let down by the Central Kitchen in keeping up with demand.

Prior to arriving at the hotel I made a special request for room allocation which was in place when we arrived. The hotel is in a great position just a few minutes walk from Town Hall Station and Darling Harbour. Upon arrival the reception area was impressive and modern with a calming welcome. Check in was smooth and fast which was needed after a 24 hour flight. The room was spacious 2 big double beds one of the most comfortable I have slept in. The bathroom was also a great size with bath and shower. My only slight issue with the room was the lack of hanging space for clothes for those staying at the hotel more than a day or so. Although breakfast wasn’t included it was on offer for $25 per person so tried it twice and it was really good, lots of choice and would have no hesitation of recommending you try this. The staff we came into contact with were friendly and welcoming. I am sad to be checking out tomorrow but my adventure around Oz continues I just hope all the accommodation is a great as Park Royal Sydney.

We stayed 2 nights between arriving on a cruise ship and flying home. The staff are friendly and very helpful. We upgraded to a club room 926 on arrival and found the club staff very helpful and the club room comfortable and convenient. The hotel is close to Darling harbour which is easy to walk to in a couple of minutes. The hotel has underground parking and is adjacent to highways but so well insulated you do not hear the traffic or the loud music from bars in the harbour.
The free Internet service works very well and we were able to print our boarding passes for free.
Our trip was holiday but I travel up to 30 weeks a year on business so have seen lots of hotels around the world and this is one of the few I would recommend to good friends.

This is a well run conference hotel although we were not using the conference facilities. It turned out to be a great choice as we were able to walk to the National Theatre where we saw an evening show as well as reach Darling Harbour restaurants and bars.

This is a "non-smoking" hotel but my wife likes to smoke. It is very convenient for her to have a covered area close but out of sight where she could smoke. This was a big asset! It could however benefit from somebody emptying the ash trays and sweeping up more frequently - although only smokers might notice that. I do not smoke myself!

I stayed for 1 night during our recent company conference. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and my 3rd floor room was large, isolated from any street noise and very comfortable. Everything in my room worked as it should and general cleanliness and presentation of the room was top notch. I did not get to sample breakfast so can't comment about that, but food and nibbles during breaks and at the conference dinner was very good quality. Great location too.

Location is great for activities within darling quarter. Easy to get to and offered a stress free arrival for check in. Our package included valet parking and a fuel voucher which was great considering fuel prices these days.

Check In. I almost left my drivers License as it wasn’t handed back after verifying my identity on the system, had to ask for it back but not a big deal. Also had to ask for the voucher as well as it wasn’t given along with the key cards. Our parents voucher also didn’t work but instead of us having to wait they took a photo so we could check in without further delay.

Room. Our room was cleaned well and the two twin beds had two pillows for each of us (family of 4) so we didn’t have to ask for extra pillows like we usually have to on other hotels. Internet was also fast enough for all my kids and both parents.

Breakfast staff was very attentive and polite and food selection included some asian options. We stayed during the week so it wasn’t busy so you can really see the customer service focus was genuine, and not forced. My kids loved it and we never felt rushed as we got the complimentary check out to 12pm.

Valet parking team was also very quick, again could also be due to being mid week. Our overall experience was great. Will definitely return for more stays, this might be one of our favourite hotels as a family four (kids under 10). Thanks for a nice stay.

Stayed at this Hotel mid 2022 as a couple and chose it largely based on location.

If you don't want to read the whole review, my short version is: It was above and beyond what was expected. Hope to stay here again!

This Hotel represents good value at around $200 AUD per night [May 2022]. The location is very central and close to most things in the area, just across a short footbridge to Darling Harbour, Chinese Gardens etc, and an easy 5 minute walk from Town Hall station..

Parkingwas available on site for additional cost. On check-in/out, and during the stay, staff werefriendly.

Entering the room, cleanliness could be sescribed as perfect, and the bathroom was Spacious and included a bath and was well maintained and clean and soap and shampoos were provided and refreshed daily. There was also lovely fluffy towels and robes.

The Hotel offered WiFi and from what I could tell it was uncapped.I would happily recommend this place.

Be sure to check out my other reviews n the local area.

This hotel is good, but don't expect a great experience. Check in experience was not a great start. The girl did not seem to know what she was doing, and could not take down my email address even after I repeated it several times. I asked her to repeat it back to me, but she kept getting it mixed up. The first room was on the 7th floor, and the thin walls meant I could hear the person in the next wall coughing. I requested a room change as I was concerned about covid and the air circulation.

Breakfast is standard brown fare. Toast, eggs, mushrooms, bacon, sausages, hash browns in bain marie, cereal, fruit, yoghurt. You'd have better if you walk out to a cafe up the road.

Location is terrible. Even though it is close to the ICC, a 5 min walk away, and China Town for great food, it is basically located underneath and next to a freeway, and next to student accommodation. You can wave to them every morning when you open your curtains and watche them cook dinner and hang their laundry. How entertaining! It's also a long hard slog uphill to George St or Town Hall Station (if you're taking a train to the airport).

The only bright side was the very comfortable bed and clean bathroom, and one staff member Johnil, who went out of his way to help.me change rooms, and bring me a firm pillow, and empty my bin when Housekeeping failed to clean my room (you have to call them every morning if you want them to clean, and even though i specified i wanted cleaning every day, they didnt).

And to finish, when I checked out, I stood on the red mat for around 2 minutes before the checkout guy noticed me, so that gave me 2 minutes to watch him sniff. I had to ask him to sanitise himself and put on a mask (he pretended that he couldn't find one). Then when I asked for the receipt to be sent to me, he asked me for my email address. I told him I had given my email already twice, when booking my room and again during checkin. He at least had the grace to look embarrassed for asking again. Next time I'm in Sydney, I will go back to the Hyatt Regency.

The perfect hotel to stay in prior to embarking on a cruise. We arrived at 08:00 hours from the overnight BA flight from London and upgraded to a club bedroom which was available immediately. The Club provides substantial canapés /snacks and drinks in the evening and because we were tired we didn’t go out to eat locally. However we ate very well in the Club and the cost of the upgrade was less than we would’ve spent in a restaurant outside! It was a very comfortable bedroom and we had a refresher nap during the day prior to a walking tour of the local sights.

You should try to connect the WIFI using phone with English or other language rather than Simplified Chinese. Otherwise, it will display a charge of AUD19.95.
Also, the fridge was not that good, it only can cool down to 5 -12 Celcius, not able to store milk or other food as usual.

But good point is the location. The hotel is just by the Darling Harbour, you can walk to Chinatown and Darling Harbour in minites. And you should try the seafood at Darling Harbour, and the Maritime Museum here, very good to boarding the Ship and Submarine.

We did have a mini fridge and coffee maker. Unsure about the type of coffee as we did not use it. The website should show you all the amenities for your type of room. We paid a small amount for an upgrade that included a fabulous breakfast and an evening of wine, beer and lots of yummy canapés. Check it out. We felt it was a great deal. Enjoy your stay. We did.
