The Grace Sydney Hotel garners commendation for its excellent central location, making it a convenient base for exploring the city. The rooms are consistently lauded for their spaciousness and cleanliness, with a touch of Art Deco elegance that guests find inviting. While the service is generally regarded as friendly and professional, there have been occasional remarks about inconsistency.
Travelers appreciate the quiet ambiance, despite some noting noise disturbances. Opinions on value vary, with certain amenities, such as the complimentary mini-bar, receiving positive mention, although some view the hotel as pricey.

The Grace Hotel is one of those rare finds in a city, our room was practical and a good size, especially the bathroom which in many hotels are now so small. The non-alcoholic mini bar was a bonus, being replenished daily with plenty of water, this is rarely provided in other hotels. The location was fabulous only a 10 minute walk to the Rocks or Darling Harbour, close to all public transport and shopping. Well definitely stay here again.

Celebrating a 60th birthday 5 ladies 2 rooms & what an amazing experience we found at the Grace Hotel. Beautifully appointed room spotlessly clean. Beds & bedding were so comfortable and yes our pillows were so comfy. The checkin, checkout & Room Service staff were all so polite and friendly each interaction in person and via phone all acknowledging my friend’s birthday. Location is fabulous with restaurants and great pubs all walking distance and on ground floor options as well. The restoration and maintaining history of this building is just beautiful with art deco fixtures and art …we will definitely return. Pricing maybe high for some but deals always exist through Luxury Escapes who we used or many other websites…highly recommend.

This is a lovely clean hotel. We were checked in promptly and our room was immaculate. There is a free stocked mini bar that consisted of a single serve apple juice and orange juice. 2 single bottles of flat water and 2 of sparkling water. A small container of full fat cream for the 1 sachet bag of French press coffee. An assortment of tea was also available. The hotel was very quiet and we were able to sleep mid day (jet lag) and at night without being bothered by noise. The ac worked perfectly. The bathroom was stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a small boar of soap. There is a hand held shower as well as a rainfall shower. Our room did not have a tub but we likely would not have used it anyway. Our room faced a central courtyard so we had no noise coming in from the window side at all.

Came on a recommendation but will not return. Whilst the hotel has a great history the lack of service when things go wrong is not good. We booked a room with a tub to be told one wasn’t available and if we wanted one that would be $50 extra to check in when we got there. Bath plug then didn’t work , changed rooms , plug still didn’t work , had to get engineering to unplug and let water out. Dirty glassware in room. Cold pool, sauna and steam room. Booked because of the pool. Overpriced for what it is abd the room looked nothing like the depicted website photo. Plenty of other hotels to stay at in the area don’t pick this one!

Location: very central on York Street, almost all sights can be reached on foot, countless restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity, including in the building itself (e.g. P.J.O'Brien's Pub). Architecture: outside/lobby/elevators/hallways in art deco, that alone is worth a visit. Room: we had Signature Superior Room 0537. Large, very clean, modern, laminate flooring, tastefully understated decoration, modern safe, minibar with soft drinks (complimentary), very good beds, bathroom perfect. Only negative: windows cannot be opened, but that is almost always the case in these hotels these days, incomprehensible from an ecological point of view (?). Service: efficient. Conclusion: clear recommendation for anyone looking for a central hotel at an international 4-star level.

Room was spacious and well decorated, easy check in process, you get complimentary drinks in the mini fridge as well as tea and coffee. Bed was very comfortable; unfortunately the pillows were way too soft for me, if you are like me and need a firm pillow bring your own. The water pressure in the shower was a bit weak but it is a great sized shower with both a detachable shower head and overhead as well! The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout, I enjoyed my stay immensely!

The kettle could at least be stainless-steel ones, not plastic. Otherwise, the stay was great, fancy room that was very clean and comfortable. The location is very convenient. The reception helped with the alternative wifi password when it was not working for me.

Grace Hotel is an excellent choice for travelers to Sydney. It is located in the center, close to all shops and 20 minutes walk from the opera and the ocean.Numerous restaurants nearby, including one in the hotel of decent quality. The staff is very friendly. The decoration is not contemporary but has a crazy charm, especially since the rooms, very large, are equipped with all modern equipment (USB at the head of the bed). The bedding is excellent and the cleanliness impeccable. Fridge with free soft drinks and daily replenishment. A real plus that sets the hotel apart from other establishments. Breakfast is served buffet style, and offers a wide variety of sweet and savoury dishes. Finally, in addition to keeping our luggage, we had a bathroom available before we went to the airport. These little touches make a difference and we encourage you to choose this property.

Checked in on Friday night, 24 May 2024. Was told to park 2 blocks away, because the carpark below their building was "full". I specifically requested for parking space upon booking. They could have sent me a message and offered to cancel my booking. While trying to figure out how to cancel my booking as one of the criteria was not met (parking space), the Chinese-looking lady at the reception told me that I could now park below the building. While parking there, there were 2 more cars that parked after us. I hate liars. I even had to go back to her at the reception, because she told me to park first, then check in. I have checked in to too many hotels already in different countries. This was the first time I couldn't check in while at the reception, just because I had to park the car first. She was not friendly at all and she should not work at the reception. Another thing, slippers in the room looked already used. For hygiene purposes, they should be brand new and sealed. Lastly, the bathroom floor mat (rug) was placed on top of the towels. I don't think rugs and towels should be placed on top of each other. We'll never go back to this hotel.
